I received this book from a Goodreads giveaway.

First posted review on Goodreads. The description sounded interesting so I entered. I am not a mother, I don’t live in the south and I have never had greens, gritty or otherwise. I wouldn’t think there would be many “I’ve been there too” moments but that’s why I read.

While it is described as a year-in-the-life, this book covers many years. It is dived up by months and the essays are from different years in that month.
