OK, the first book caught me, and the second book hooked me. And to be honest with you, it hurts. I want to pick up the third right now and find out which set of characters I get to delve into next. This book throws us into the lives of Dr. Batista. From the first book I really thought this chick was an ice queen. Now that we get to meet her and see what is going on in her world and get to understand her world, she has a right to be an ice queen. Again, I guess we shouldn't judge the proverbial ...more

This is a good paranormal romantic thriller with an interesting exploration of good versus evil involving the spirit realm and earth. Shape shifter Aragon, a leader of the spirit realm's Guardian Forces, has been on a quest to destroy his one time mentor, Pathos, who betrayed his brothers of the fight for good, and joined the evil forces. Aragon's quest brings him to earth, where he unexpectedly lands in the path of Dr. Annette Batista, who is on a quest of her own to find her missing sister, St ...more

Aragon is half man and half wolf and although some might say he goes about it the wrong way,is a man led by his honor and code of ethics. Does it hurt that he's a hunk? Hardly. But really, when it comes right down to it,thats not what draws Dr. Annette Batista to try one more time to find Aragon at the stone pillars. No. It's because of the qualities that she sees in him as simply being part of what makes him Aragon. He's honorable, loving, courageous and now mortal. What more could a woman want,ri ...more

The Lure of The Wolf has lots of good steamy sex scenes and a great budding love story, but I was surpised by how much action/adventure there was that kept me captivated as well. I feel more immersed in this world now and I am intrigued to see more storylines with Emerald & Sam and the other Shadowmen. I like the way Jennifer st. Giles writes a love scene - very hot but without the corny terminology that can ruin it. On to the next book (where I am sure at least one of the bad guys is sure t ...more

While the characters, informative dialouge and plot of the first book in this series flowed gracfully this one seemed to run together like a series of smaller stories not fitting as one. The author, I think, didn't want to follow the exact same formula for the main characters but this second book was a mess of about 5 seperate stories that didn't seem to be coming together, even up until page 197. While I enjoyed the characters and setting (the idea of Blood Hunters) this was too complicated and ...more
"you're like a dragon who breathes nothing but fire, scorching everyone in his path twenty-four/seven."

"part of loving is letting another walk the way they need to and not the way you want them to."

"wait before you judge yourself so harshly. though the path taken now may seem to have been in error, the journey isnt over. there may yet be a reason for the present."

"shut the fuck up, your disbelief doesnt have to poison everything."

This one was okay but it took a while for me to get through it. It is about a werewolf who has given up being leader of the "Guardian Forces" because he thinks that he has failed in his task. But the Forces think that he has turned evil so they are after him. A woman on Earth finds his amulet and calls him to her. She needs help finding her sister. They fall in love and go on this chase to find her sister and eliminate his enemies.

Very involved book where a woman ends up conjuring a werewolf/shapeshifter. She is looking for answers about her missing sister. He is on his own mission of course but her warm mortal flesh is far to good to resist. Book wasn't my bag, but thats not saying it's not someone elses.

Picks right up where first leaves off. Aragon ends up on Earth and at Annette's beck and call. Sam is having issues about Belize and of course that is where this book ends up. Vampire bite, visions and evil corrupt people. Love wins out.

It's awesome in a terrible way. Or terrible in an awesome way? Anyway, I love anything involving immortals and lovers who can use their telepathy to advance the heroine's sexual pleasure.

Really like the story line and the writing of this author. A little too much smut for me. I'm going to continue on to the next book but a bit sad about the smut.

Under a barrage of nagging by BFF's, I've been told my bio was boring, not at all a reflection of just who I am beneath the surface, which is a compliment...I think. So, what can I tell you about me?
I don't play video games or watch horror because I can't take the heat, but give me a kickass thriller every minute of every day and I am there. Be prepared for a Hoover Dam meltdown if you're with me
