A new release by Etienne is always something to look forward to, and this book is no execption.
He introduces us to Dr. Ian Sanderson who teaches at Georgetown, and his partner Lt. Col Randy Richardson, who works with top secret things at the Pentagon.
Ian arrives home one miserable November Friday afternoon and finds a very incriminating photograph in a FedEx envelope waiting for him. The pressure increases as additional photos follow. It is obvious that someone wants something, but from whom? Ia...more

Okay what to say? This was a gay affirming book. Ian, an analyst for the CIA and George, an air force officer, were married, each had a son, had been friends since college, and went camping with their wives. One wife dies, the other leaves, and low and behold Ian and George are in love and move in together (upscale DC place with state of the art security) with their sons, and low and behold the sons fall in love. Someone is breaking in and terrorizing them, and kidnaps the sons. The sons’ story...more

Well now this book was a slow ride to a big smile, nothing was rushed so we got to know each of the good guys really well. As always the author does not wast words so you feel part of the tapestry of the story, and this also makes you feel like you are making new friends and visiting old ones. I will admit to loving the ending of this book because of the tickle scene it just said it all, that is what we all wanted! It felt like a nod to those, lik...more

In this story Etienne writes about four new characters; Dr. Ian Sanderson who teaches and Georgetown and his partner Lt.Colornal Randy Richardson who works at the Pentagon and both men have a teenage son. We also get to read about some familiar faces from a earlier Avondale book.
The story involves kidnapping of the two sons, escape, a couple close calls as the kidnappers try to get the boys back, and a new budding romance for a marine.
Etienne writing keeps you turning the pages. His writing is d...more

Gosh this was a boring book! Another of Etienne tales where the characters are so similar to George & Mike that it just as well have been their story. So laughhably bad that I couldn't blame the son of one of the characters wanting this adventure to have a shoot out as a ending then the boring, non-suspenseful ending that they and we the readers got! Also, we get the same lines which are now vital to any Avondale story, "promises, promises", "fool" and many more, although I don't think the l...more
Too many unimportant details made it hard for me to finish.
