An interesting book that discusses how Christianity has become global in the last several years and the impact this has had on people of faith. I do not agree with a lot of Dr. Tennent's theories, even the premise that Christianity has suddenly begun to affect people of diverse cultural backgrounds, is, frankly, ridiculous; nevertheless, I give what would have been a 2-3 star book 4 stars because it is so well written, it flows. This book is great especially if you have never left the country before. It will enlighten you on the global church and how much it has grown. Very relevant and an easy read for anyone

It's lovely to read books that remind me that "christianity" is not an "american" concept. We have alot to learn form the global church.

I found this book to be an easy book to read...the topics that Dr. Tennent covers, however, aren't so easy to work through. He tackles major topic of systematic theology from a different point of view than many of us have taken--a non-Western one. While doing this, he does not condemn our culture and theology, but rather asks us to engage in conversation with the Global Church, realizing that there are other voices that need to be heard.
