It's amazing how much a few months can make a difference. Back when I first read the chapters of this volume (via their Japanese releases), I was...annoyed, to say the least. "Shiina," I thought, "why must you drag this out so much?" (Aside: given one of the author chapter notes in this volume, I think I have an editor to blame for some of the pacing issues.) But, now that I've read the chapters once again, I feel much more "at peace" with the d

The last few volumes of this series have really stalled for me, but I wasn't ready to give up on this series just yet. As much as I love the central characters of the story - Sawako and Kazehaya - I've come to love their friends perhaps even more. And, thankfully and wonderfully, this volume turns the focus more on them.

I've lost interest in Sawako's and Kazehaya's romance. I don't mind that they're awkward and unsure, I'm just tired of pages upon pages dragging out a scene that doesn't need tha

Kimi ni Todoke is such an innocent love story between Sawako and Kazehaya that will make you "aww" during every scene that they share together. Watching the lives of Sawako and her friends, you just can't help but fall in love with all the characters that band together with her. I definitely recommend this books to all shojo fans or anyone who wants to watch such innocence and adorableness bloom <3

Series Review:
What I like about the series the most is that while some things about the story seem a bit hard to believe (mostly Sawako's social awkwardness and utter lack of perception), is that once you accepted things proceed in a very realistic fashion. One of the things I love the most is that the story does not dive head first into a romance plot, but lets the main character come to terms with finding her place in the classroom and with her new-found friends first. Most appreciated is that

Tbh, I loved this field trip arc. No, this volume is perfect. I feel so sorry for Ayane. I knew something like this was gonna happen. I knew it! Damn you Moko-something-guy-name guy!! I hate it! And to think this kind of thing actually happens to girls, is so ugh!! Thank god Kento was there to take care of her... spark of love in a hug! Eeekk! Anyway, Ryuu.... I am so happy and sad.... he didn't confess but it was more like he said it to Chizu that he always liked her. I hope next volume Chizu f ...more

The gang takes a class trip to Okinawa and so many things happen. Kazehaya and Sawako get a little closer and nearly kiss, which was freaking adorable. Chizu gets mad when a female classmate explains that she likes Ryu but he likes someone else. Ryu finally tells Chizu that he likes her and it gets really awkward. Ayane starts dating a guy and they make out, but she dumps him after she hears him bragging to his friends about her. She realizes that she's never been in love with a guy she has date ...more

Awwwwwwwwww!!! Poor Ayane!!!!!!!!

And dang!! The drama between Ryu and Chizu!!

And of course, don't forget the awkwardness of Kazehaya.

This volume was a little bit more exciting than the last few, but I wish Shiina-sensei's editors weren't obnoxious and making her drag out this series. I love it, but it's on a plateau that at this point, it's really just my love of the characters that is keeping me interested. The storyline itself is getting boring and predictable. It's obnoxious when publishers

Auhhhhh, I love this series. I love this series so much, and I want all of them, and I want more, and ahhhhhhhhhh. This series gives me such good feelings, makes me smile just thinking about it, cause it’s so good and sweet and I love it.

So much happened in this volume. Firstly, they’re still on their school trip, and exciting things are happening. With Sawako: lots of sweet, fun moments with friends, some very cute things with Kazehaya (including [SPOILER!] an

Kimi ni Todoke From Me to You, Volume 14 by Karuho Shiina by Karuho Shiina:
BLURB:
Sawako "Sadako" Kuronuma is the perfect heroine... for a horror movie. With her jet-black hair, sinister smile and silent demeanor, she's always had trouble fitting in. But her whole life changes when she befriends the most popular boy in class, Shota Kazehaya.
A school trip to tropical Okinawa heats up the student body, and with Ayane distracted by a new boyfriend and Chizu suddenly jealous of Ryu, Sawako and Kazehaya find themselves alone. Can they handle taking their

This volume focus not only in the couple Shouta-Sawako, but we also get some Yano's side of her story and Chizu and Ryu's relantioship.

Shouta-Sawako: so sweet! They both want to kiss for the first time, and while trying, they are so innocent and adorable. It amazes me how the attempt of the first kiss takes several pages, creating a tension for the reader and for both of the main characters. And not only that, every touch is described by one of them as something beautiful and lovely.

Yano: she a

Oh, all the delicious, delicious drama. Am I the only one wondering if Yano is going to end up with Pin? It seems like they keep hinting at it. *shrugs* It would be a rather hilarious pairing, though. Even if it ends up not being canon, that is so going to be my new crack pairing.
Nidah (SleepDreamWrite)
Sawako and her friends are dealing with their own thing. The series is still good. The art is still really good and my favorite aspects of the series. The expressions are drawn good and convey what the characters are feeling.

Chizu Ryu ship and otp forever. I swear to God Chizu is the most dense and naïve and happy go lucker and ignorant person on earth!!!!!!! How the hell Ryu puts up with it so long without doing anything surprises me xD awwwwwwwww so close for Sawako Kazehaya >w<

One of my favorite volumes because all three girls (Sawako, Ayane and Chizu) get equal spotlight. Truthfully, I'm more fascinated with Ayane and Chizu over Sawako. Sawako is so straightforward that all her misunderstandings come from ignorance. She's adorable in her naiveté and I love Kazehaya because he's straightforward as well, but it's not really exciting to watch their romance unfold. It's more like a gentle breeze. Ayane and Chizu are far more interesting in their pursuits of romantic blis ...more

slow, but there is finally some development with the whole 千鶴&龍 thing. sometimes i like that i can power through manga in half an hour, but not with series that are still ongoing. it is like when you stock up on 季節限定 sweets with the full intention of making them stretch out for months but then end up eating them all in one night, in a fit of wild sugar-crazed passion. (this happens to me far more often than i would like to admit.) now there is nothing to do but wait, wait, wait for the next ...more

Man I can't write a review for this, I need to go text exclamation points at my cousin. Let Sawako and Kazehaya Kiss: the 2013 Campaign. Spread the good word everyone. 4 stars

The class trip - and a whole lot of romantic complications. I'm starting to seriously worry about Sawako and Kazehaya that they never seem to move forward. Ayane needs to find better men in her life. Sheesh.
