This story was a nice change of pace for me. I haven’t read any outright witchcraft stories in awhile. I liked the premise of the story. It’s an interesting idea that Wells came up with.

That said, I did have a couple issues with the story. This book suffered from a classic case of “show, don’t tell.” Mostly at the beginning, it starts slow because how much is told to the reader rather than shown. As the story goes on, things get better, but the pacing of the story is rushed. Because it’s rushed,

I've said this before, and I'm going to say it again. Can't YA paranormal indie books STOP being so uniformed. This book like many others before or after it have the same uniformed plot. Girl moves in with grandparent(s), finds out she's a paranormal, falls in love, gets kidnapped and nearly killed, gets saved by boyfriend who is a paranormal or a human, and then they live happily ever after. Names, place, type of paranormal and the bad guys are the only things that change.

For the record, Encha

I wasn't sure what to expect with Enchanted by Rachel Wells. I knew that it had something to do with magic but I wasn't entirely sure what.
Enchanted took the magic aspect and gave it a different approach. It was quite refreshing because it wasn't exactly magic, it was a little more realistic than spells and wand waving. It was really good.
I always love flowers and magic surrounding flowers so Enchanted was my kind of read.
As for the characters, I really liked Mandy and Steve. They were pretty aw

Enchanted is a pretty magicial read. It has a killer bad guy. I liked the other characters but I was truely impressed by the depth of the villian-ness of (blank). I really liked how it was history repeating itself too. I like those kinds of books, where you have to look to the past to figure out what happened and then change things so this time it turns out the way it should have.

The powers in Enchanted kind of reminded me of those in Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder. They are both more healin

Mandy is a girl that is quiet and likes it like this. Her family has lived in the city for most of her life. So, when she moves to a quiet town with her family and her nana, she completely feels it can be a bad experience. Mandy has no idea how right she is.
The characters themselves were striking and the plot felt very strong and I couldn't not tell which was better. Mandy isn't the outgoing girl or totally shy type but a good

Mandy is an unsuspecting leading lady. She's shy and kind of a whiner. Hey, she's a teenager. Teenagers are angsty, right? At first I was not cool with her. The book moved kinda slow in the beginning.

Once Mandy starts working at her grandmothers flower shop all kinds of interesting things start to happen. Turns out Mandy is from a long line of healers and she gets to learn the trade. Mandy is skeptical at first and wants nothing to do with it. Besides she has other things to worry about because

Curse of the Bibliophile
Epic story about a seventeen year old girl named Mandy who goes to stay with her grandmother and finds herself caught up in a centuries old mystery and learning that things are not always what they appear to be.

I loved this story it was very exciting and caught and held my attention from the beginning. It had some great imagery. Mandy was a great character and I had fun finding friends and figuring out the mysteries from her past with her. I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a good
