Apesar de gostar bastante das ilustrações de John Tenniel, também gosto do toque da ilustradora, dão uma dimensão mais atual a este velho clássico da literatura infantil.

I'm doing research for the spring show, ALICE'S ADVENTURES UNDER GROUND... which is a totally enjoyable endeavor. This book's illustrations captivated me when I first saw it --- I think Emma was 4 or 5. She's kept it (unread) out of maternal obligation. I'm glad she did. I'm happy to have it now. I also have a reprint of Lewis Carroll's original hand-written manuscript that was given to me when I was about 5 or 6 by family friends. These treasures are so meaningful to me now.

I loved this particular edition because of the illustrations. First time ever reading the actual book, it was great, well-written.
