The author has created scenery that comes alive, due to her ingenious descriptions and colorful imagery: the central theme to this particular story is a haunting. Although I read this as a stand-alone book, it really should be read as a part of the series. The conversations of Striker and Rose were mostly referring to past events and situations that were hard to follow, leading to scenes feeling more disconnected than necessary. Without the background information on the characters, the sex scene...more

Good Points
I loved the scenery in this novel. The author has clearly done her homework, and everything was perfectly described-I could practically feel the cold snow! The characters were wonderful as well, full of life and vividness. I especially liked the little quips that each of her characters have; floundering hero and heroines these are not! The writing itself was rich and well-paced, drawing you into the story with a well-deserved pace. There were quite a few moments we...more

I fell in love with this story and its characters from the very first page. Mesmerized by an elaborately detailed world of snow and ice, I was transported right into the heart of this beautifully written romance between Skriker and Rose. Otherworldly in nature, with muddled pasts that have scarred them deeply, they are cautious, tough and stubborn. When a horrifying spirit threatens their existence together, they quickly discover the intense passion and love they feel for one another matters far...more
Review-Ghost of Winter-Lynda Kaye Frazier
Danielle D. Smith has created a captivating story that thrusts the reader into the world of the supernatural. I was drawn into Striker’s and Rose’s romance that was filled with the right amount of chemistry, passion and enough hot romance that made it impossible for me to put the book down.

Danielle D. Smith captivates the reader in an entertaining and creatively built world where supernatural beings are the norm. Containing the perfect mix of romance, action, and sex, this novel has a multi-layered and well-constructed plot that keeps the pages turning to the emotionally perfect conclusion for a Christmas read.

I had the immense pleasure to BETA read this for my friend Danielle Smith and thoroughly enjoyed delving into the world of Skriker and Rose yet again.
I am a huge fan of Dani's work and I think I would be lying if I said I didn't have a girl crush on Skrike. That boy no matter what he does warms the coldest recesses of my heart.
Yet again the pair are off on another hunt, only this time it is in Skrikers motherland, Sweden. Dani paints amazing scenes that will have you pining to travel and experie...more

what a perfect book to read when the temps outside are 100 degrees plus! Danielle's decriptions of the frozen tundra paints pictures in your mind of cold winds brushing your face, snow crunching under your feet, and a lovely cabin nestled just beyond the forest.
I never know what tag to put on Danielle's works, PNR? yes there is an otherworldly love story, Erotica?, oh yes there are some graphic love scenes, or Horror? she always has a tale that has you looking in dark corners and wanting to turn...more
