First of all, can someone please point me in the direction of the town that is home to the incredible Falke brothers?? I have to say what is not to love about a story that has a set of quadruplet brothers and a set of triplets, two more brothers and sister?? Oh, and have I mentioned that all the males can shift into beautiful Pumas, and they take their mates in pairs, que the menage!! See, this book just gets better and better. The set of Quads are Axel, Gunner, Kelan & Reider, in that order ...more

I am currently living in India, as I will be for the next little while. So while in India, I have decided because there is seriously nothing else to do, besides watch Indian soaps that I don’t understand, I will read. And reading I am. I started this book on the plane from Singapore to India, and god could I not put it down, I read it even though the guy next to me was snoring and kept whacking me in the arm, I read it through the scary turbulence, with the flight attendants coming to me every

Of course, Falke does turn out to belong to a local family, two of which she met a liked. Kelan and Reider are every woman's fantasy. And for some reason they want her.

Kelan and Reider know that they shouldn't start anything with the pretty Beth, but resisting her is beyond them. They'll just have to convince

Don't know why I picked up this one when I didn't really enjoy book 1, but I wanted a light shifter read and I already had it loaded on my phone so I thought why not. I'm not going to say too much other than I thought the heroine was annoying, dialogue was cheesy and the BDSM aspect was ridiculous. Overall it was a meh read for me so I'll go with that it just wasn't my cuppa.

This was a nice story just not as good as the first on this series but that just might be me. I really enjoyed the way the authors wrote the capturing of one of the brothers. It was downright funny and believable. As I was reading it I said it’s about time someone came at it with this approach.

The connection between these 3 was good but I didn’t feel the heat between them like I did in the first coupling in the first book. You get an m/f/m sex with anal. I felt the story was good but at times i

Very good shifter romance. The set up was interesting. The Falke brothers own a wilderness outfitting and guide business. Each day one of the six brothers spends the day shifted into a cougar as the store mascot. The heroine, Beth, is a scientist in the area to study cougars for her PHD. She meets two of the brothers, Kelan and Reider one night in a bar. The next day she sees Kelan running as a cougar and tranqs him and discovers he has a collar. He manages to escape but not before she has taken ...more

I don't know if this really deserves four stars, but it's getting them for two reasons. First of all, Falke's Captive makes sense and I'm still shaking my head over Chaos Tryst. Secondly, you rarely see this kind of plot in shifter romances. There was that brief scene at the end of Shelly Laurenston's Here Kitty, Kitty! and, the beginning of, oh, crap, what was it? Um, The Jaguar Prince, I think. I mean, there are many books where shifters are hunted by scientists and the like, but very few wher ...more

Falke’s Captive by Madison Layle and Anna Leigh Keaton is a very sexy, shifter romance. Beth Coldwell meets up with the sexy duo, Kelan and Reidar at a local pub. She is a university student working on her doctorate studying big cats. She is in town to assist her sponsoring professor by scoping out the local large cat population and setting up a temporary lab for the study of these local animals.

While she is out on in the forest for her first scouting trip, she bags a beautiful puma. A

I love a good PNR :) This one was a lot of fun :) I loved the shifters - Puma's - they're great animals - and I really want to get to know them more - especially if they travel in pairs :D

The humour in this book is awesome - I loved to laugh! Ok the Falke Brothers- the oldest set of Quadruplets is Axel, Gunnar, Kelan and Reidar - in that order - then the younger set of triplets was Sindre, Torsten, and their only sister Heidi as the baby. ... Being Shifters, their world is a little different th

This novel is a second in a series. Unfortunately, I had not read the first. However that didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the book. I really liked this one. In fact, I plan to read the first in the series soon.

The book captures our attention with two of six brothers. Hot! I must say, I was intrigued with Kelan from the first time he crossed the page of the novel. He’s strong but has passion everything I could love in a fictional character.

There is a story why the brothers are the way they are. Som

Stesso viso, stesso DNA. E, purtroppo, questo vuol dire anche stessa

FALKE’S CAPTIVE is the sexy sequel to FALKE’S PEAK in the series PUMA NIGHTS.

As a scientist who studies big cats, imagine Beth’s elation when she stumbles upon a cougar on her second day into the research expedition – which is what brings her to this wilderness town the Falke brothers call home. After tranquilizing the beautiful beast, she notices it is wearing a collar – very strange indeed! To Beth’s dismay, the cougar escapes before she can conduct any research - little does she know that th

Pure erotica at its hottest. Other than the twins involved with our wildlife geneticist who are described as complements to each other the characters don't get much in the way of development. Although the female character, Beth enjoys junky food and greasy-spoon diners. It's somewhat hard to believe a scientist would be so readily accepting of what she learns.

Minimal plot but what is there is imaginative and original. Someone did some research. Lots of cougar-shifter mating detail.

This continues the story of a family of shifters. The Falke siblings are a set of quadruplets Axel and Gunnar (who where in the first book Falke's Peak), Kelan and Reidar and then a set of triplets Sindre, Torsten, and sister Heidi.

This book is Kelan and Reider's story. Kelan is struggling with wanting to make some changes to the business dynamics the Falke's have which causes some strife between him and the Alpha brother Axel.

I actually listened to this on my friends Ipod as we worked out today, and then worked. This is the first book by this author and I found that it was a decent plot, and the character development was good. I know this is the second book in the series, and I will have to go back to the first book, so that I can have a more complete backstory on the Falke family and understand what is in their genetic line that has them shape-shifting into Cougars who have human DNA.

Overall, I enjoyed this

First I haven't read the first one in this series, but discover after reading this one, that the order won't matter, the book is really good, I didn't like some parts, but that just me.

Beth arrives in little town to discover places for her field research and colect dados, but in the first night she discover two very sexy brothers and her fantasy about a treesome start to cloud her mind. But what she doesn't know is that the brothers are more that she could ever sign for.

I read paranormal romance on a regular basis and this book really impressed me. I loved how the author made the cougar shifters slightly different from shifters in other books, and it worked so well. I don't want to go into too much detail since it would somewhat spoil the story for those who haven't read it. Also, keep in mind that this is what I would consider an erotic romance since there is a menage relationship. I love read

My Review:
This story absolutely has the best premise...who is more dangerous to a shifter than a scientist looking for answers about big cats without any idea that shifters exist? Beth is in Washington studying large cats trying to find clues in their DNA to keep some large cat species from going extinct. She's extremely excited when the first day out, she tranqs a cougar, but is surprised to find him with a collar. What she doesn't realize is that the cougar is Kelan, the very sexy guy who had

I listened to the audiobook on this one and enjoyed it but it felt long at times. It was a good book and had all the elements I usually adore. The pace just seemed off somehow.

I really liked Beth and all her sassy attitude, she is just my kind of gal! Kelan and Reidar are great guys and I did love the yummy Dom streak they carried! They really made my heart beat quicken!

There are plenty of smexy scenes in this short read, girl they are hot!

What do two shape-shifting, twin brothers do when the woman they want as their mate has the potential to destroy their entire family? Choosing between love and family is tough under normal circumstances; it is twice as hard when your family is bonded together through a centuries old secret.
So the worst part of this book for me was finding out it was the second in a series after I was almost done. But, not reading the first book did not take anything significant away from this second book. I wou

Come visit Forever Book Lover to see the full review. I put off reading Falke's Captive thinking it was a short story with no depth; I was pleasantly surprised by this book.

You quickly learn the Falke family is unique, not only are there eight in the family: a set of quadruplets, and a set of triplets but they are Shifters. Then add in the element they must mate in pairs, two brothers for one woman and you have a very HOT book!! WOW!!! There is more to this book then a ménage relationship......

I feel bad for Kelan and think that Beth is a little bitchy...hahaha
But then I think its better than the first book where Gunnar didn't really have time to show his real self.
In this book both Reidar and Kelan take the same portion and I love it.
Anyway this book is good if you want to read a light story when you wait for something or have to take intermezzo.

At first glance I didn't care for this set of brothers as much as the ones in the first book. But what I did really love about this book was the situation that a couple of these brothers found themselves in, caught when they were changed as mountain lions. How degrading for them as they were shot with a tranq dart, blood was taken, checked for sex and to see if it was neutered, and of course tagged with an ear tag, then there was the final humiliation of waking up in a cage. But that was really ...more

When I requested this from NetGalley I didn't realize that it wasn't the first in the series. This didn't hamper my ability to understand what was going on. Perhaps it just made me a little more critical of Axel since I didn't get to know him in his own book first.

I really enjoyed the storyline. I like that the brothers are shifters, but the public doesn't know about them. Beth was great. I didn't think she was too easy, and she certainly wasn't a pushover when having to deal with two guys at o

This was a short and cute read. Having read the first book in this series, Falke's Peak, I knew what to expect from the story line, although this pair of brothers are a bit more into BDSM than the older set.

While I usually have a problem with BDSM, it was light enough that I didn't mind it.

I prefer the first story to this one, but it's still good in its own right. And I'm looking forward for the next in the series.
I liked this book very much. I listened to the audiobook versions of both books in the series. I had a bit of trouble getting in to the first book but after listening to this one I think the issue may have been the narrator. With this book (with a new narrator) I was totally able to get in to the story and enjoyed it a lot. I liked Beth and thought she came through in the end proving herself a good mate for Kelan and Reidar. The story had a good plot, some hot sex scenes and some action at the e ...more
