The relationships in this book were well drawn, the protagonists and secondary characters multi-layered and realistic in their portrayal. The dialogue was great and I loved the sense of place relayed in the telling of this dtory. Though the book did not blow ne away, it was a lovely, sad read.
I loved it! I wouldn't consider myself a big fan of romance novels, but this story was great! Poppy starts the story as someone who is completely focused on her career and doesn't even want to 'waste' her time with starting a family. She gets sent to a small town hospital for work for a few months and it completely changes her outlook on life. The characters are very well developed and complex.
