The relationships in this book were well drawn, the protagonists and secondary characters multi-layered and realistic in their portrayal. The dialogue was great and I loved the sense of place relayed in the telling of this dtory. Though the book did not blow ne away, it was a lovely, sad read.

I loved it! I wouldn't consider myself a big fan of romance novels, but this story was great! Poppy starts the story as someone who is completely focused on her career and doesn't even want to 'waste' her time with starting a family. I really enjoyed 'Career Girl'. It's a lovely read with a driven, career minded heroine and a hero still mourning the loss of his wife and child.

As with all of Fiona Lowe's books, I finished the book with a happy sigh, loving the ending.

This was more like a Halequin Romance book for me. I liked it but wasn't blown away by it. The story was about a female surgeon that gets placed at a back woods hospital who is trying to make a mark in the medical field so she can get her dream job. Along the way she finds love.
