The Heart of Winter, 1

Can love withstand the test of time?

Winter never truly understood love, nor did she have time for men until she met Austin Wells Carlyle. He was the man who would rock her world to its foundations. He would test her notions, give her something to believe in, and change her misguided thoughts regarding happily ever after. Strangely, she was going to a...more

This story sucked me in. London paints a very pretty picture of Winter and Austin. There are times, true, that Austin is portrayed as a little to perfect, but sometimes that's what we want in a good story. To fall in love with a hero who is perfect.

I've read all three of London's Winter/Austin stories (Enchanted, Requiem and Revelation) and i'm eagerly awaiting the last in the series. The sex scenes are hot, but I do not read books for the sex scenes, the story must come first for me.

Austin and Winter are a dream couple. Just one look in each others eyes and they were lost. Enchanted is a story of two souls meant to be one with no secrets kept and everything out to the open for the other. They are a true couple that is envied by all. No surface was left unexplored in the hearts and minds of these two lovers.

London Saint James created a great story of happiness from beginning to end. I was unable to stop reading and was truly engrossed in the building relationship of Austin a...more

This is a true love story about two people finding their soul mate and their journey along the way. Enchanted is well written, it pulls you into that emotional flush of first romance. The pace is balanced and even, however, there are some editing errors with repeat words. My only real complaint is character details, I couldn't get a good picture of Winter because her physical details came so slowly through out the book. There are a few steamy scenes and one that is 'fan yourself hot'. The story i...more

This book was recommended by a friend. It was sweet though I found it to be a bit dull simply because there wasn't enough conflict. But that same friend recommended I keep going in the series so here I go onto book two.

Wow! The story had me wanting more. I loved that I couldn't wait to turn the page. The romance between Austin and Winter was beautiful. It's how love should be. I can't wait to read book two.

I really enjoyed this entertaining romance about true love. Winter is a very believable and likable character. She doesn't believe in true love, until he sneaks up on her, she's a bit insecure, innocent, and adorable. I loved watching her fall in love and open herself to the hero. They really made a romantic couple. The end of the book was a bit long winded and boring, but over all, it was a very enjoyable read. I can't wait to check out the rest of this series. Well done, London! :-)

London wrote her first short story in the second grade. Her teacher informed her parents London had a big imagination, but having a big imagination wasn’t necessarily a good thing as far as he was concerned. Without watering that seed of imagination, London placed her vivid characters, her childhood stories, along with her imagination on the shelf, where they would wither for a while. At the urgin...more
