In a meeting I started to notice that while some people talk about their past or current difficult experiences they cry openly, or raise their voices in anger or frustration, and others don't. I assumed those that didn't express negative emotions had been in the program so long and had worked very hard to achieve this apparent perpetual state of acceptance, and I couldn't wait to get there.
