Dionysus's book was every bit as amazing as Triton and I love that it began with Triton's wedding so we got to see that Triton and Sophia did get the B&B finished and got married!

When Dionysus ran on Ariadne after sleeping with her I wanted to both hit him and hug him. I wanted to hit him for being stupid and running out on her but hug him cause of the reason behind it. I was so excited about this! I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I was really excited when I found out the second one was out. I immediately downloaded it and I finally got a chance to read it. I might even like this one better than the first, though I like the cover of the first one better. I think the dynamic between Dio and Ari and between Triton and Sophia are on the same level, but I enjoyed the plot of this story a little more. And the epilogue was PRECIOUS!

I love Tina Folsom and I could not wait for the sequel to A Touch of Greek.

Ariadne decides to get back at Dionysus when he loses his memory by telling him they're engaged. He's humiliated her and used her so it only seems fair. She'll make him fall in love with her and teach him a lesson of his own. The only problem I had with that was when she was trying to teach him his lesson she seemed to be a bit harsh. Outright, this was just a fun and entertaining book to read. I received the first book in this series, A Touch of Greek, for review, but immediately upon finishing it, went out and bought this book to read simply because I loved the first book so much.

While I didn't think this one was quite as good as the first, it absolutely did not disappoint (honestly, I just really loved the story line premise in book #1...it would be hard for any book to compete with that book for me.) This book...more My Review:

While I didn't think this one was quite as good as the first, it absolutely did not disappoint (honestly, I just really loved the story line premise in book #1...it would be hard for any book to compete with that book for me.) This book is the love story between Dio and Ari. Dio is the son of Zeus and he is the god of wine and ecstasy. Being the son of Zeus, who is a horrible philanderer, Dio has always assumed he is just like dear old dad...incapable of love and monogamy. He never wants to hurt another woman the way that his mother was hurt by his father. As a result, his personal rule is to only ever sleep with a woman once, and then their relationship is over.

Ari has been hurt and deceived deeply before. As a result, she doesn't trust easily. She and Dio dated for two weeks before she decided to have sex with him although their chemistry is through the roof...and then he immediately abandoned her. Yep....he's pretty much a jerk.

Hera saw all this and decided to teach her step-son a lesson in humility and suddenly EVERYONE is caught up in this horrific web of lies, which is going to hurt them all.

It's an interesting storyline (be sure to read the story description). Ari knows that it would be way too easy to fall for Dio esp. if they are sleeping together so she decides to tell him that they've decided to wait for sex until they get married...because of his drinking problem. Suddenly the God of wine and ecstasy is abstinent and going to AA meetings. LOL...there is definitely some humor in this book.

I liked both Ari and Dio's characters. Yes, Dio acts like a jerk in the beginning, but even then you know that his actions come from a place of fear of being like his father. He knows in his heart that if he develops a relationship with Ari that he will break her heart and he is trying to prevent that from happening. Both of these characters have some major insecurities when it comes to trusting their own feelings and those of others and that's before all the lies and deceptions are perpetrated in this book.

I continue to really love the Greek theme in these books. The glimpses of Zeus that we saw in this one were wonderfully enlightening. I am definitely looking forward to the other two books in this series.

Dio's step-mother decides to teach him a lesson and take away his memory and give him amnesia. Ari takes advantage of him and tells him she is his fiance. He spends the next few weeks trying to find things to jog his memory until he meets up with his friends who help him return his memory and get rid of his amnesia.

At first he is mad but then realizes that during his amnesia he has changed and become a better man. He also realizes that he has come to love Ari so he keeps his secret about his returned memories and god status and pushes for a wedding to her....planning everything down to the last detail.

Ari has a secret of her own. She was engaged to a man who took money for the wedding from her parents and took off with it. She was left at the alter and her family was humiliated. With Hera's help starts to believe that Dio's set up this wedding as a way to pay her back and does not believe that he loves her.

What a mess....but this book has a HEA and everything is resolved. It is a nice second book to the first:

and I assume this is an ongoing series. Triton from book one and Dio's from this book are friends with Hermes and Eros....I would imagine one of them may be the subject of the next in this series.

It is a fun, easy read...great premise, plot and you get lost in the story and I love the characters.....but it has some cheesy romance novel dialog and is at times difficult to accept. I loved Tina Folsom's Scanguard Vampire Series but found that far superior to this series. (less)

I absolutely loved Tina's Folsom's Scanguards series, with the exception of the last one which seemed a bit trite to me. Knowing her work, I decided to give this book in the Out of Olympus series a read. I'll admit that I did not read the first book in the series because the reviews were a mixed bag and I didn't feel particularly compelled to read about Triton and Sophia. However, the description of this book and the stellar reviews piqued my interest so I decided to give it a read.

I was kind of disappointed with this book. I really loved the first book of the series, but this one was just an OK read for me. I couldn't connect with the female character Ariadne at all. I know the author was trying for innocent and vulnerable, but to me she came off as desperate and needy. She claims to be so in love with a man she has been seeing for only 2 weeks. She knows really nothing about him (where he came from, his job, his friends). She doesn't even know his apartment number, just...more I was kind of disappointed with this book. I really loved the first book of the series, but this one was just an OK read for me. I couldn't connect with the female character Ariadne at all. She doesn't even know his apartment number, just his address because he had a case of wine delivered and she memorized it. We even find out that the only time he's even been in her apartment was the night they had sex for the first time. But after that earth-shattering sex with a near-stranger she decides to open her heart and assume he'll be around forever.

While I thought Dionysus was a cad for loving and leaving her, I had to admit that he had a valid reason to be freaked out by her sudden clinging after sex. When he wonders to himself what he did to give her the impression that he'd be around forever, I had to agree. I didn't see it, and felt she was foolish for falling for someone after 2 weeks. Two months, maybe. But not 2 weeks. The majority of the book has Ariadne talking about how he needs to change, and how much she loves this "new person" he's become. So, which is it? Did she love him before, or did she fall in love with him when he acted the way she was manipulating him to be? She kept saying he didn't deserve her respect before he lost his memory. Well, she didn't deserve his after.

I guess by the end it all works out, but I confess that I spent most of the book waiting for Dio to get his memory back and make her own up to lying to him. I know Hera pushed her into a lot of it, but not all of it. I expected Ariadne to fight a little harder to be the better person and I was really disappointed by the outcome. Don't even get me started on him deciding she would get pregnant without even asking her if it's alright first. (less)

Dio being the God of wine and ecstasy has lived his long life going through a different woman every night and has never felt anything for the multitude of women he has been with until Ariadne. For the first time Dio has spent two weeks pursuing and charming the same woman all in the name of conquest as he tries to convince himself amidst the strong and foreign feelings he is developing for Ariadne. After a night of passion that burned into his soul like never before Dio walks away from Ariadne not because he wants to but feels he needs to. What results is the devastation of Ariadne heart and her resolution to teach Dio a lesson.

Ariadne is a bright, intelligent, successful and beautiful young woman who seems to have it all except for love. She believes love is not part of her destiny since she was literally left at the altar, broken-hearted, embarrassed and cheated out of her money by her fiance. With Dio being such a delicious temptation could she finally let her guard down and allow herself to trust another from breaking her heart?

After a night of intense passion Dio leaves Ariadne fearful of the strange feelings lurking deep within him and breaks her heart, but Ariadne confronts him and Dio acts cold and callous to drive her away. What Dio is unaware is a meddling goddess is set on teaching him a lesson which results in a series of events that Tina so vividly describes that the reader feel that they are right on the front lines of the action.

I absolutely love not only how Tina writes some of the best sex scenes out there, but her sense of humor. The things that she makes Dio go through and endure made me smile and laugh throughout the book. I highly recommend this book to not only paranormal romance lovers, but to all the women out there who ever had their hearts torn in two due to the actions of some heartless guy. Sometimes revenge can be so sweet and Tina knows how to dish it out for our enjoyment. So what are you wanting for? Go get this book!

Kali ini dewa brengsek yang akhirnya tobat adalah dewa anggur, Dionysus. Fatwanya selama ini yaitu satu wanita satu malam harus ia pertanggungjawabkan. Ariadne, wanita mandiri dengan warung anggurnya sudah 2 minggu berkencan dengan Dio (nama panggilan dewa anggur ini so human ya), tanpa membiarkannya membawanya ke tempat tidur. Setelah dirasa cukup lama membuatnya menunggu, akhirnya Ari berkesimpulan bahwa Dio adalah sosok yang berbeda dari mantan tunangannya dulu. Maka, diputuskanlah mereka akan ‘menaikkan’ hubungan mereka ke jenjang yang lebih ‘serius’. Namun apa daya, setelah ‘malam yang hebat’, Dio kembali menjalani fatwanya sendiri itu, one woman for one night stand. Hera, goddess yang selama ini selalu muncul dengan karakter antagonisnya muncul dengan kekuatannya, mengambil semua memori Dio. Setelah ‘malam yang hebat’, malam yang menyakitkan bagi Ari setelah ditinggalkan Dio, terbitlah Dio dengan sosok yang baru.

Ceritanya cukup bisa ditebak, Dio yang ‘lupa’ bahwa dia adalah dewa anggur kembali ke pelukan Ari, yang kali ini lebih tegas memberi batasan dalam berpacaran, meski kenangan akan malam yang hebat it uterus membayanginya, dan ingin mengulangnya, tapi dia cukup ‘iman’ untuk tidak terlalu membiarkan Dio ‘menjajah’ tubuhnya. Apa dia menyerah? Meski amnesia, tapi hasrat itunya berkali lipat. Usaha2nya memepet Ari nyaris berhasil di berbagai macam tempat.

Jelaslah sudah dimana dan bagaimana kepiawaian seorang Tina Folsom untuk urusan adegan dewasa ini. Buku ini bakal dicintai kaum pria dengan imajinasi liarnya. Saya jadi ingat, betapa teman2 saya di milis lapanpuluhan membiacarakan dua nama penulis ‘stensilan’ yang popular di tahun 80an, Nick Carter dan Ennie Arrow, karena piawainya mereka menggambarkan adegan serotis. Nahkan beberapa mengaku, beberapa lembar novel hilang di bagian erotisnya. *geleng2*. Untunglah, saya membaca novel ini dalam bahasa Inggris, kendala bahasa sedikit menyamarkan detilnya organ2 tubuh yang disebutkan wkwkwkwk…

Akhirul kata, tak lagi2 saya membaca novel beginian, apalagi dari Tina Folsom yang jelas banget genrenya. Positifnya adalah, saya bisa menyelesaikan novel ini lebih cepat karena seringnya men-skip bagian2 ‘itu’nya saking ngga pentingnya, and mostly repeated way of elaborating it. After his one night of bliss with the lovely Ari he starts getting these feelings that he's quite unfamiliar with. He's not sure one night will ever be enough for him with this woman and it scares the shit out of him so he dumps her!

Hera....wife of Zeus and stepmpother to Dio saw what Dio did to the poor Ariadne and is fed up with his philandering ways. In her eyes...he's just like his father and decides to teach him a lesson. So she wipes his memory and helps Ari execute her plan to finally destroy the God of wine and ecsatcy and give him a taste of his own medicine.

I loved loved loved this addition to the Out of Olympus series! I laughed sooooooo much!! Ari really taught Dio a lesson. He really deserved it cuz he was a complete ass!! You really have to read it to know what Im talking about..dont wanna spoil anything. But when Ari told Dio that they were abstaining from sex til marriage and that his drinking wine was the cause I chuckled! But when the poor Dio actually went to an AA meeting just so he could finally get in her good graces...I nearly fell of the BED!!! Im sorry...It was hilarious to me:)))

Anyhoo....Please go read this book!! I enjoyed it sooo much!! I really missed Tina's stories and reading this reminded me of why she's one of my favorites!! (less)

This is really funny. Despite the campy cover, its like Darkhunter verse merge into basic romance storyline without all the PNR in it. The book started with Dionysus decided to be total asshole to Ariadne then he lost his memory which Ariadne decided to play pay back. There's this whole great manipulation going on to keep you interested and its very fast paced. If you're depressed enough with your current reading, this book will cheer you up. Not as good as the first book. I was into the plot at the beginning, but the story started to really drag around the middle. Basically, Dionysus gets into Ariadne’s panties then promptly dumps her. Another Greek god is tired of his shit and takes it upon herself to punish him by taking away his memory then hands him over to Aridane. After reading the first book in this series, A Touch of Greek, I immediately read the second book, Scent of Greek. I knew what the story would be about and was anxious to read it. It is an easy to read and follow story with a lot of love and passion and fantasy. Although the story was predictable, I think most romance stories are, it was fun to read. But who wants to read a romance story that ends badly or sad anyway? Recommended read for fantasy romance lovers.

This is the second book I have read by this author (the first being it's predecessor in this series). I have to say that it will definitely not be the last. After reading so many stories of vampires, werewolves, and demons, the concept of the Greek gods I remember learning about in high school English class starring in romance novels was quite intriguing. I love Dionysus! haha. I never thought i would. LOL .. after reading about him in Percy Jackson, i just didn't think i would love him. Anywayyy.. his story is such a fun one. I laughed hard at some scenes. I love how he and Ariadne got together. Ooohh i just love happy endings! ^_^

Dio was all about the one night stand. He did not want to get his heart broken like his mother. Ari did not think she could trust another man after an awful experience. Dio lost his memory and Ari took advantage of the situation. But neither one knew if the could trust each other.

This book picked up where the last one left off with Dio and didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed the story line and the way the characters evolved. I found this book absolutely addicting and I am so glad that I read it. I am so hoping that Tina writes another book in this series, because I absolutely LOVE the way she spins Mythology. :)

Thought the first one was better, but the couple was really cute together. Just thought the conflict was a tad rushed by the end of the book and quickly resolved too, not that I like a filler, but I think the author could've developed it better.

i like Mr. D, not so sure about Ariadne at the beginning, but she turn out OK in the end. Hera is still a bitch, Zeus a tomcat and love the scene when Mr. D served the Olympians at Natalie's cafe!
