She's looking for redemption. He doesn't believe in it.

Accused of betraying the Bloodhound Guild, Archer's only chance to regain the trust of his fellow hounds is to earn it--one dangerous job at a time. Crystal Springs may be the worst yet. The town has been deserted by all but the poor and the desperate, yet the vampires stalking the edges of the settlement haven't close...more

4.5 Stars. This is by far the best book in this series to date; probably my favorite Rogers book of the dozen or so I've read by the duo.

Archer has been such an enigma in this series. Is he a Bloodhound turned rogue, or is he doing the bidding of the Guild...that's the question about him that's been building since this series began. When Archer shows up in Crystal Springs; he finds a border town besieged by vampires and ghouls. Two of the folks that are left alive are the pretty school teacher...more

I’ve not read the first two books in this series, so only the fact that I’ve read other books by Moira Rogers is what gave me my first clue I’d be reading about shifters. But bloodhounds? That made me think of that large and lazy hound from old episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies. But when such impressions are first and foremost in a reader’s mind, it’s the talented author(s) who smashes all preconceived ideas to smithereens. Ms. Rogers does that quickly and very efficiently when introducing Arc...more

This might be my favorite Bloodhounds story yet. I have fallen for all the Bloodhounds and was thrilled that Archer got his own story - and of course that he finds the perfect girl for him was inevitable.

My favorite thing about this story is that so many of the characters are re-building themselves in their small border town. It was fun to see people being valued for what they were offering instead of being judged by the baggage they brought with them. Perhaps that feeling comes from living in...more

1. Thoughts on the Hero

Has: I adore this series so much and the Bloodhound heroes are definitely smouldering hot. Archer definitely hit that category for me although I have to say I loved how gentle and empathic with the heroine, Grace. But underneath that quiet and mysterious demeanor he was really protective and passionate and the scenes where he lost control *fans self*. I also loved how patient and un...more

When Bloodhound Archer arrives in a frontier town - in response to a plea to the Guild for aid in fighting vampires who have been decimating the population - Archer finds the town's school teacher struggling between her need to flee and her duty to the beleaguered townspeople who need every able bodied person in the fight to survive. And even though Archer 'sees' way too much of what Grace has hidden behind a respectable facade, with his acceptance, Grace just may discover that she's more like t...more

I always was interested to see what would happen to Archer. :) Loved the main female character & how Archer developed in this story.

The ending gave us an intriguing intro for what the next book could be about == cannot wait to see if my suspicions are correct. Looking forward to more!

I love the Bloodhound universe. Steampunk with a western/urban fantasy twist. :)

This is my favorite in the Bloodhound series! I've been waiting for this book and I was so excited to finally get to read it. I'm definitely not disappointed with it! Moira Rogers has done it again!!! :)

We first met Archer in the first book, where he supposedly betrayed the Bloodhound Guild by helping the Vampires. We get a LOT more answers about that in this book, you'll have to read it to find out though. We also finally get to see who the real Archer is and let me tell you, he's everything I...more

Grace has made a new life for herself in the Old West border town of Crystal Springs. She left her disreputable ways behind, reinventing herself as a school teacher --a lady. But her town is now under attack by vampires and it's barely holding on. They need help if they're going to survive. That's where Archer comes in.

Archer is a Bloodhound, a shape shifting supernatural, sent in by his Guild to clean-up the vampire problem. He's rough around the edges, but strong. And he's determined to save t...more

A second chance is something hard to come by, but that’s exactly what Archer and Grace are looking for in the third installment of the Bloodhound series, Archer’s Lady.

Archer, a Bloodhound with a checkered past finds himself in Crystal Springs, a frontier town which is slowly dying due to rampant vampire attacks. The Guild has sent him to aid the town and its last few inhabitants from the vampire menace, or is there another reason he is sent there?

Grace, a woman who is running from her criminal...more

Where do I start... First, I am a huge freaking fan of this series.... Like Freaking HUGE!!! Ms. Moira has given everything I thought I could possibly want and more in this series of rough and tough men.... Who have an appetite to blow things up and make things hot in the bedroom. The series just gets deeper and deeper! Now I will say that when I first started this series, I was a little worried about the (what I thought of as sci fy) science side of the story.... But the more and more I think a...more

I LOVE the tortured hero. And dang - these bloodhounds? They are tortured to the max!!! These books are cross between steampunk/westerns/romances/paranormal and are ALL Moira Rogers. The team of Bree and Donna (the two ladies who make up Moira Rogers) have this unique talent of creating these amazing stories that are completely their own. How on earth do you categorize this??
This series/story reminds me so much of Firefly - every time I finish a new addition to the series I need to watch me som...more

I really love this series - its full of action and hot romance as well fleshed out memorable characters. Archer's Lady is another solid installment, with a cynical hero and heroine who is not perfect but surviving in a dead town which is repeatedly attacked by vampires. The romance is tightly written filled with sexual tension and real emotional intensity and well written love scenes is like the cherry on top in...more

I have read every Bloodhounds story, and loved them all , but Archer's Lady is my favorite. Western Steampunk Paranormal romance...what more could a reader ask for? The characters are damaged, yet fighting to survive in a bleak world. Safety and survival are the first priority. Love and happiness are rare, and truly icing on the cake when found. Archer's Lady is fast paced with rich characters and edge of your seat action. The passion is heartwrenching and breathtaking. This story could be read...more

During the last 3months vampires have picked off the local citizenry until there are only a handful of people left – including someone Archer never would have thought he’d meet. As a not too favorite bloodhound of the powers leading the Guild, Archer, who has been an enigma to this point draws the assignment.
It’s the one riot one ranger scenario for Archer in the third installment of the series. There was enough mystery to Archer to keep his intriguing allure and keep you panting as he and refo...more

One of my favorites in the series. I was pretty excited to read Archer's story after seeing him in Wilder's Mate. I'm a sucker for the anti-hero and Rogers didn't disappoint. I loved the theme of redemption the plot had and how Rogers paired Archer with Grace, someone who would truly understand his past. Grace is a former con-artist who had turned her life around by stuffing herself into the role of a respectable small-town teacher. However, she starts to reconsider the merit of this choice when...more

Favorite Quote: “All he had to do was flash that wicked smile and nuns would break sacred vows for a chance to grasp at the pleasure it promised.“

I love Moira Rogers’s steampunk/ pnr series-The Bloodhounds. An incredibly sexy, action packed story that will keep you glued to your e-reader. An enchanting mix of old and new sets the stage as we engage with our two fascinating protagonists, Archer and Grace.

Despite what other bloodhounds and Guild think, Archer did not betray them. He is working to redeem himself one job at a time when he is sent to Crystal Springs on the edge of civilization. Crystal Springs was once a thriving city of farmers and their family when vampires started attacking. In desperate need of help, the town is on the verge of extinction. Archer is sent in to clean up the vampires and bring order back to the town.

Grace is working on redeeming herself by staying on the edge of c...more

Standard disclaimer: I love these Bloodhounds. I think they're sexy and violent and I wouldn't have them any other way. There is a high probability of fangirl flailing and there will undoubtedly be an excessive use of exclamation points ahead. Just so you know.

I'm so happy that we get to see Archer's story! Introduced in Wilder's book, he was the Bloodhound who was forced to create Hunter and he's a bit of a wild card. Heh. To say the least. Sent to Crystal Springs to help the town against a ver...more

Through all the previous installments in the Bloodhounds series Archer was the character who intrigued me most. We never learned much about him and his mysterious character with all its edges made me crave this book. And yes I do admit I’m a cover whore and I just HAD to read this one. Look how pretty it is. But back to the book behind this great cover.

In Archer’s Lady we finally get to know the man behind the cool and unattached Bloodhound. Archer is everything I wanted him to be: alpha without...more

I liked this latest addition to the Bloohound' series (which I already love for the combination of steampunkish elements and pnr).

I also appreciate that, even short, this series is never formulaic. Each story has its own merit, even in the new moon madness. It's somewhat weird how the Ms Rogers team can make a romantic out of me :P

Another good book in this series. Not my favorite but still good! I love this series and hope it continues!

Toss in a dash of whimsy and a lot of caffeine, and enjoy with a side of chocolate by the light of the full moon.
