Wedding bells are ringing in Fool’s Gold, but not for Nevada Hendrix. Her triplet sisters are engaged, and even her mother has a more active love life than she does. Determined to make a fresh start, she applies for her dream job, only to discover that her new boss is her first love. Maybe she could overlook the fact that they’ve seen each other naked, but she’ll never for...more

I normally really like books by Susan Mallery, but this one seemed…busy for me.

I enjoyed the relationship between Nevada and Tucker and I didn’t mind the small parts dedicated to Nevada’s mom, but I became bored reading about Jo and Will and I had no interest in Cat.

(view spoiler)[From page one, Nevada says that she wanted nothing to do with Cat and I had expected that to carry through when Cat unexpectedly showed up…but Nevada gave into Cat’s demands too quickly and too easily. When Cat tried...more

Another wonderful visit to the “Land of Happy Endings”. This is the sixth in the Fool’s Gold series and the last of the Hendrix triplets stories. While, of course, you can read this as a stand alone I would not recommend it. This is a series that no one should miss and it is best to start in the beginning.

This is the story of Nevada Hendrix. She is the triplet who is the most tom-boy of the three girls so it was fun to watch her have some “girly” moments....more

Only His Fool's Gold Series by Susan Mallery
Love the sound of this town, close to the city and in the heart of the mountains and country and wine vineyards nearby.
Nevada was trying to get the next site job. She thought she'd be meeting with the older man, not the son, who she had gone to bed with years prior.
Tucker doesn't know why she won't take the job, she finally agrees and it's so hard to keep business in the forefront because she wants to have sex with him.
Nevada is a triplet, Montana and...more

Susan Mallery has done it again! While I didn't love this one as much as I loved Montana's story (Only Yours, I believe) I really did like this one a lot. Nevada's story has been a long time coming, and it was as good as I'd hoped for.

Nevada Hendrix has been in love with Tucker for years, but after their one night together ten years ago was a disaster, she did her best to get over him. She's mostly succeeded, until he shows up unexpectedly in Fool's Gold as part of a large construction crew. A l...more

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I was so happy when this book came out and I was definately not disappointed at all! Most of my questions got answered and there was still one I had left in the end Is there going to be 3 more books for Charlie, Annabelle and Heidi?! I sure as hell hope so.

None of these Fool's Gold books get old and they don't get boring. Each one brings something new to the plate about the woman, man and town. It surprised me at every turn especially since we finally learn Jo's past! I think...more

This book was... odd. There were some great plot elements, but they went in really strange directions -- which unfortunately was not a sufficient distraction from the fact that the basic plot is the same one as the other books in this series. And the mix of serious and farcical felt uneasy and unbalanced to me.

The town of Fool’s Gold has never seemed all the plausible to me, but in previous books it was certainly a positive place. Here, I got the sense that the town prides itself on being provin...more

Only His is the last of the Hendrix triplets trilogy.
Nevada Hendrix has always been more comfortable in a hard hat than in high heels and she’s proven her worth as a construction boss working under her older brother, but she has dreams too and to spread her wings means flying from the safety of the family business nest. Nevada accepts an interview with Janack construction, a global company with a great reputation expecting to interview with company owner Elliot only to find herself face to face...more

As a Fool’s Gold cheerleader I received “Only His” two weeks before its release date. It’s now my favorite book in the Fool’s Gold series. I say that after reading each one, but Susan just keeps making them better. I enjoyed that I wasn’t able to predict what would happen next with the characters. I thought I knew certain character’s secrets but I was always wrong. Susan gives readers THREE couples to root for in this book; Tucker and Nevada, Jo and Will, and Denise and Max. Each couple has a co...more

Very good book. I liked the reunion of Tucker and Nevada. I wish she hadn't lied to him about their first encounter -- he deserved to suffer for that one. They seemed to be making good progress on getting to know each other when Cat walked back into their lives. Talk about your totally selfish person, uncaring of anyone or how her actions affect other people. I could not wait for her to be gone. I did like seeing her effect on Tucker, and how he related to her ten years later. His relationship w...more

My Review:
Susan Mallery consistently writes contemporary romances that I just love to read for an afternoon's escape. Her books are sweet, fun, romantic, witty, and always feature a wonderfully quirky cast of characters. The Fool's Gold series continues to delight my reader's mind. I just really love this series. There is something about continually getting to visit this sweet little town and the wonderful characters that live there, that just makes me happy.

The last of the Hendrix girls story. I really thought it was more of a three star read than a four, but I had several laugh out loud moments in this one. I also am looking forward to future installments in the series so I'll round up to a four for this.

Nevada was involved with Tucker Janack the same way a moth was involved with a flame. Let's just say that their shared past was NOT pretty. So a decade later does she still feel the draw to the flame?

I loved Jo's story. I thought that was rather s...more

Where do I start?? Fool's Gold is by far, my favorite town in the world! (And I cannot tell you how much I wish it were a real place!) Full of fun characters, hot men and small town charm, who wouldn't be in love with Fool's Gold?

At the heart of this story is Nevada and Tucker, who have a history (which I LOVE the back story!) And add the history to the fact that Tucker is Nevada's new boss?? This has all the makings of a great story! I mean; the opening line of this story is enough to have me h...more

This is the third and last book in this new trilogy set in the fictional town of Fool’s Gold. If you are new to the series you should know that each book features one of the Hendrix’s triplets. Only His is Nevada’s book and her turn to find her happily ever after.

Ten years ago Nevada was away from home about to start college and feeling like a fish out of water. It was the first time in her life that she wasn’t living at home and worse, it was her f...more

I enjoyed Nevada's story but was a little disappointed that Jo's story didn't get a separate book. It seemed a bit rushed and precipitate and Jo deserved more time and attention. So did Will. Having the deadline of the other sisters' wedding made me feel that Nevada didn't have much time either so I had this feeling of haste and pressure hanging over me as I read, and I didn't really feel that I got to know Nevada or Tucker well. Besides, Tucker struck me as somewhat hypocritical. After telling...more

Nevada Hendrix has been working for her brother, Ethan, since she returned home from college. Determined to do something on her own, she applies for a construction manager position with Janack Construction. They're building a new casino/resort complex and she figures it's the perfect opportunity to prove to herself that she's good at what she does. What she doesn't expect is to run into the man she felt was her soul mate and the reason for her worst humiliation and heartbreak.

i really liked how the story started - nevada meeting tucker after their embarrassing past together... and then slowly we get to piece together the whole back story between nevada, cat and tucker. i did understand what the author was trying to say.. even when they were younger, tucker had more things in common and was more comfortable with nevada, but he ignored her because of his love/obsession with his then gf, cat. and now that cat is out of the picture, here are nevada and tucker's chance to...more

Okay the book's great but there wasn't anything more then the usual plot. But it managed to keep me hooked up enough that I can't put it down till I fished it . The thing is all Susan Mallery's books of same sires have a same basic plot when for on-going one is "guy and girl meat have a bad history either with each other or with some one else so don't want to get involved ( well mostly guy don't want it) but still can't resist each other and the attraction they have .Then girl fell for guy . tel...more

This is my favorite if the 2011 Fool’s Gold books. I fell hard for Tucker. He’s a charmer with a sense of humor and a low jerk quotient, and even when he runs from commitment, it doesn’t take him long to see his wrongheadedness. Nevada is a strong heroine, a risk-taker who excels in a male-dominated profession and addresses her relationship with Tucker with a refreshing directness. Cat adds an unexpected element, and as usual with Mallery’s books, the secondary romances are terrific additions to...more

The last book of the year in the ever favorite Fool’s Gold series is Only His. This is the story of Nevada Hendrix. Nevada is the last of the triplets to be unattached. Her sisters are happy and ready to be married. Her mother is even dating. She has never been one to brood so she focuses on her career. Nevada decides to go interview for a new job. She arrives at her interview fully prepared to knock her soon to be new bosses socks off. Too bad she already has along with all the rest of his clot...more

Only His is the 6th book in Mallery's Fool's Gold series and the third in Hendrix sisters trilogy. The writing was fine, descriptions was good, but cudn't feel the connections between Tucker and Nevada. It cud have to do with the fact that he was obsessed with the "transcendent" Cat.Nevada was heartbroken and has loved the hero from the beginning and lost her virginity to him and he wasn't even aware of this emotions, her hurt and pain at all.In my opinion this romance was contrived and not believabl...more

This is book 6 in the Fools Gold series by Susan Mallery. Nevada is the last triplet to find love.Tucker and Nevada have a painful past together. The Romanian bisexual artist-sculptor, Cat, was a very strange character to throw in the mix of mostly wholesome and somewhat emotionally wounded characters. Even more interesting is the way Nevada Hendrix befriends her in a woman to woman way and even brings her sisters in for a girls-only party. Really? I suppose I have trouble understanding why...

Ultimately, Tucker discovers he has deep feelings beyond just impulsive sexual attraction for Nevada and wants to settle down with her, of course. N...more

The last of the Hendrix triplet's gets their happy ending in Only His. This book follows Nevada Hendrix as she goes after a job that she wants, working for a guy that broke her heart. When Nevada was eighteen years old and away at college, her older brother Ethan gave her the name and number of a childhood friend who would show her around and help her if she ever needed it. Nevada wasn't really planning on using the number but when Ethans asks, she caves and gives him a call. She wasn't expectin...more

3.5 stars. I liked this one ok, but I'm wondering if I need a break from Fool's Gold for a bit. The whole Denise/Max thing was a little anticlimactic. The big surprise was Jo, and I was glad for her that she got her life back on track and found real love. I did want to smack Will, even after he justified his reasons for walking away from her.

I kept thinking that Nevada knew Tucker would be interviewing her/would be her boss when she was talking about the job with her mother in the other two stor...more

Another good installment for the Fool's Gold series. This one was a bit corny at times and I'm not sure what to say about the whole part Cat played in this story, the relationship, and the town. There was a good base for this couple and I was enjoying them work around their past and through it. But there were some situations once Cat returned to the picture that just took away from the story. It was just a little to ridiculous at times. In a world where we have some slightly over involved home t...more

Fans of the Fool's gold series will be happy to know this book does not disappoint. It is in the same fashion as the other books, so no surprise in style or happenings, but that's the beauty of Fool's Gold. Fans read to have a nice romance with tension and obstacles to the main characters falling in love.

The is the love story for the third triplet, Nevada. It also follows the budding love life of their widowed mother and Jo the bartender. I'm not a big fan of other romances or side stories in mo...more

When I read my first Susan Mallery book Only Mine just a while back I was fascinated. It was an awesome read and I couldn’t believe I’d never tried Mallery before. She’s more of a romance author than a Chick Lit author, but since I’m a sucker for a good love story and Mallery is very contemporary, it was the perfect combination. Only His is the latest novel in the Fool’s Gold series (and the third of three to feature the Hendrix triplets Nevada, Dakota and Montana) and I couldn’t wait to dive in...more

I found this to be very boring and predictable. The author kept repeating an incident that happened 10 years before the story takes place. While it's an important incident to the story, bringing it up once or twice would have been sufficient, but it has to be rehashed multiple times, thus creating boredom. It's bad enough that the triplets (the story is centered around one of them) all have perfect lives and healthy relationships that are continually brandished around.... but then the mom is thr...more
