As a mother I was shocked then stunned with the opening of this completely engrossing story. What mother in her right mind after being beaten and her son kidnapped walks into a bar and orders a beer? After reading more I discovered the answer to my own question. She is the kind of mother who after years of abuse feels that’s what she needs at the moment. She needs the beer to work up the courage to fight for her own self and do whatever is necessary to save her son.

My rating is actually a 3.5.

This book proves something...don’t judge a book by its cover. If I were to see this book in a store, I probably wouldn’t have picked it up because the cover screamed borrrrinnnnggg…..boy did it ever prove me WRONG. This story was great! Unlike any I have read before.

I would have given this book 4 stars if it wasn’t for the large amount of spelling errors, misuse of words,
Thanks the first book that I've read by this author and it will probably be the last.

Angelina (h) is a battered wife, she thought she was safe with her husband in jail but she didn't know he had been released until he showed up at her door with a gun in his hand and revenge on his mind. The next thing she knows is that her husband has beaten her unconscious at some point, driven her to some out of the way place and left her in th parking lot of a biker bar. As she regains consciousness and realiz

This was not my usual storyline....but REALLY enjoyed this book and SO glad that I was given the opportunity to "Read It & Reap". This book will grab you from the beginning and make it impossible to put down. That's right....your laundry will go undone and supper will be late!!! Kayden Lee does a wonderful job painting a vivid picture of the characters as well as their surroundings. I could actually picture the camp along with the bathroom and pond. This book is packed full of thrill and adv ...more

Where do I begin. This book made me feel so many different emotions. From complete disgust and pure hate to breaking my heart. There were moments when I physically felt ill because of the abuse in this book, I was scared for Angelina and my heart ached for her. At times I would think why am I continuing, this is just too much. But I had to, I was on edge, Kayden Lee held my attention from the very start. I will definitely be checking out her other books once they are released.

Abandoned Angel gripped me from the opening paragraph; I knew I wouldn't be able to put it down. The story-telling was great, though it had painful, heart-breaking moments. It would not be a story I would want to live in reality but, nonetheless, there are many people caught up in a world of abuse - whether physical, sexual or emotional - and it would be nice to learn about more people who beat the odds and triumph over circumstances.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. from the moment I read the first page to the last word "at 3am I might add". My only complaint is it didn't last long enough!! Well done!!!
This was a great book. I was sucked in right from the beginning. The plot was amazing. I would have liked it better if we had gotten to know about the supporting characters more. But I guess there was enough description about their lives too.

The story starts with Angelina waking from a drugged induced haze and recalls the events of the night. She wonders where she is and meets bikers who wants 'to make her their property'. Then she meets Blaze who claims her and infuriates Spike who had claimed

Abandoned Angel by Kayden Lee is told from mostly the perspective of Angelina “Angel” Hart, who is beaten and abandoned in the parking lot of a biker bar by her abusive and ex-con husband. In addition, he has taken their son, Justin, and she must figure out how to get him back. As she goes into the bar for help, she falls into the bi

I have been reading a lot of the YA books lately, and was so glad to get back to something more my age! I received a free copy of Abandoned Angel in return for a review. This was was a page-turner for sure, and a great story! I am fascinated with the lives of bikers - and this novel didn't disappoint. It is about a woman whose son is taken away by her abusive husband. She does anything she has to, including riding with a biker club to get to him.

There were a few grammar/spelling mistakes - thoug

This is a gritty, grimy story. It's also very compelling. I read it in about one day. I could not put it down. The author paints an amazing picture and creates characters you find yourself cheering on and others that you hate. The author also does an amazing job of showing what it's like living with an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. She doesn't pull any punches and doesn't romanticize it. This is definitely a hardcore, gritty story.

This is a 4 star story but I could only give it 3 as the grammatical er
Nothing like a story that grabs you right from the beginning, and holds on till the very end. Abandoned Angel was a amazing emotional story with great characters. Angelina wakes up a parking lot of a biker gang’s clubhouse after being drugged. Her violent husband, who has left her there to suffer, has kidnapped their young son. Angelina goes to a building to find help, and comes upon a gang of bikers and this is where Angelina's journey begins. You feel the love of a mother that will do anything ...more

This subject matter is very close to my heart and I'm grateful the author did her research and made the characters and situation realistic. I read this book in two sittings. It's very engaging and keeps the reader hooked.

There are very good description of the scenes and I could imagine them playing out especially in the club house and the camping scene.

I would have liked to have read more dialogue, but it wasn't necessary.

I would have given this book another star but the author has a very bad

I really enjoyed this novel. The characters were more than one dimensional, which is a key component for a successful novel. Kayden Lee did a wonderful job keeping me on the edge of my couch. I was definitely in suspense trying to guess to see what would happen next. I would recommend this author to any of my friends. There were a few grammatical errors, but no one if perfect. The errors did not take away from the story. All in all, I would probably read this book more than once. It was simply t ...more

Okay I gave 3.5 stars. because of Blaze and Doc. All I could say is WTH! Physically abused, then almost rape, then wanting her son back, then fell in love with a biker dude. Biker dude family died, I am sorry I tried to get into this book but, for me it was blazee! I apologize to the author and the other reviewers if I have offended them. Thank you.
This is not a genre I'm used to reading. The topic was dark and sad. But the book was well written and the author made the characters really stand out. Angel is tough and Blaze seductively her champion. I will say I will never look at biker gangs the same way. Thanks to Shut Up and Read for the opportunity to read this book.

Well written mc book. Angelina is a woman who has suffered domestic violence at the hands of her husband, with him being in jail she ignored his requests to see their son, and tried to live a normal life without him bringing up Justin. The plot begins where Angelina woke up beaten and bruised by her husband who had kidnapped them and took of with their son, leaving her for dead in a car park which motorcycle club members frequented. Having no money or phone she was forced to assess her situation ...more

Loved this book! I became caught up in the story right from the beginning. Loved some of the characters, hated others, as was intended. This was definately a page turner, so if you are looking for something different, with an edge, give it a try.
Had a hard time putting this one down. Ending seemed rushed and strange but over all a great read.

read it loved it want more!!!
I thought this book was written well, for some reason it was difficult to keep me interested. I liked most of the characters: Blaze, hot and mysterious; Doc, fun-loving;Tiffany, cute and confused, etc. I actually didn't care for Angel. I am empathetic to all she has been through in here life and was rooting for her success in finding her son. It just seemed like she had no common sense. She is involuntary riding with a motorcycle club, is being threatened by a really bad guy (Blaze is her protec ...more

Angelina has been left beaten and bloody in front of a biker bar by her husband who was recently released from jail. Angelina had refused to let her son visit him in jail her husband takes out his revenge by kidnapping their child. When she comes to and stumbles into the bar she meets up with a handsome stranger, Blaze, who takes her into his care and promises he will help her get back to her son and protect her from the other more brutal members of the biker gang. But all that changes when her abusive husband returns, hell-bent on making Angelina suffer. Bruised and battered by her husband, everything goes downhill from there for Angelina. And no matter how hard she tries to get back up, fate seems intent on knocking her down.

Kayden Lee's writing has a unique quality to it that I liked
Spoiler Alert:
Abandoned Angel is an intriguing thriller about a woman who finds herself at the mercy of a biker after her husband beats her, takes their son, and leaves her to her ruin in the parking lot of a biker bar. The beginning was a little awkward for me, it was written in the point of view of most of the characters in the book with the author providing no order however the flow of the book was smooth enough to keep me intrigued. The story kept me wondering what would become of Angelina
This book started out with a bang that continued throughout. This book brought me into someone's life that is filled with domestic voilence(it's hard to imagine that people really go through that crap daily) and also the life of bikers which I always found intriguing. When I first started the book the word repetitive kept popping up in my head. And another thought I had was, omg why would she go with all these people that she doesn't know, then I thought, hmmm, I would do anything to get my kids ...more

Kayden Lee lives in the Midwest with her loving husband and wonderful kids that she adores. After years of writing, with a bit of nudging from her friends and loved ones, ABANDONED ANGEL was published. Between taking care of her kids and husband, and reading as many books as she has time too, Kayden is currently working on a suspense/thriller, that keeps her imagination working overtime.
