NOT SO SNOW WHITE is a modern teen fairytale that's magical, adventurous, mysterious, romantic, humorous, sensitive, and so much more. Winter Snow takes advice from her elfin-sized sidekick she's named Duane and journeys to find her missing dad. She soon discovers she has more than "elf power" to help her. Winter has "witch power". It's an exciting battle with good witches and bad, with school bullies versus the witchy freak, and then of course add in a little romance to complicate things and ...more

I won my copy of Not So Snow White from Goodreads Firstreads giveaway.
Let me start my saying what I really did not like about this book… the cover art… it did not draw me into the book. I would not have given the book a second look based on the cover, but luckily the title did draw me in.
I loved Duane! He, er… she was great comic relief, while at the same time being a bit like Winter’s conscience.
The ending was a bit rushed for my taste, but I can see a little room there for a sequel, which I w

I wish I had a book like this when I was a teen, I probably would have gotten into reading a LOT sooner if I did!

I loved the personalities of all of the characters and the mystery behind all of them throughout the book.
Jennkrist knows the perfect way to end a chapter! After each one I found myself excited to continue reading to find out what was going to happen next. I hope she writes another one!
This modern twist on a fairytale was AWESOME!

I won this book in a giveaway.

This book was very well written. This book was full of actions of witches and mortals. Also has good and dark magic. This girl is 1 tough cookie. She never gave up on looking for her dad no matter what serious crap she got into. Also learns 2 use a gift that makes her who she is.
If you haven't read this yet u must read it.

This could have been so much more than it was.

I purchased Not So Snow White because it sounded like it had an interesting twist on Snow White tale. Sadly, it was just okay. Typically I read a book straight through in one sitting, with this one I read it over a few nights and by the end I was nearly skimming the pages, which consisted of White being TOLD EVERYTHING all at once. I felt like there were so many questions that were brought up along the way with no answers until the last few pages wh

I got this Kindle freebie some time ago but couldn't manage to read it until now.
The characters are OK, the story is OK, no fireworks here. But the thing is the ending is too rushed. It seems like the author wanted to finish it up and didn't bother to show the action, and kept telling what had happened and how everything got solved.
I'm not saying it's bad, it just doesn't pull you much into the story and there is so family history that it bores a bit. It needs to be more into the action and lea

I was excited to read this, because it sounded so promising.
Unfortunately, I never really got into it.
It was an ok book. I didn't not like it, but it was just ok.
I feel like it could have been awesome, but it just never got there.
Characters were ok, not great and nothing I'll really take with me.
I would be very upset if I'd have actually paid for this book.
I think I'll skip future reads from this author because I just didn't find the "wow factor" that I really think it had the potential to

It got a little confusing at the end. The author tried to wrap up the story when it really wasn't necessary.
