I have read this book many times, sifting through the poems. Clear statements of the earth and its inhabitants, softly laid on pages. Example: "Each of us is alone on the heart of the earth/pierced by a ray of sun:/and suddenly it's evening."
José Luis

“Ognuno sta solo sul cuor della terra
trafitto da un raggio di sole:
ed e subito sera

Everyone stands alone at the heart of the world,
pierced by a ray of sunlight,
and suddenly it’s evening”
