The Executive's Decision is a terrific book and a great beginning to a wonderful series. I have become addicted to the Keller and Benson family after reading Zack Benson and Regan Keller's love story. Regan falls for Zach on the bus, that is on his lap, on her way in to her first day of work. Unknown to her, Zach is her new boss and when she finds out, she tries to put a halt to any developing relationship between them, albeit unsuccessfully, since Zach is one determined man to get the woman he...more
Loved it! A romantic, sweet read. I will definitely be reading more of Bernadette Marie’s books.
Normally when you fall into a stranger's lap, you regret it, but um...let's just say what a perfect way to start a book. I agree with not dating coworkers, but I think in Zach's case, I would have had to make an exception. What a wonderful man! Hardworking, sexy, sweet...I had better stop there. This is a must read for anyone who has had complications with previous relationships in the past and though...more

This book annoyed the shit out of me. Aside from the massive amount of editing errors, the heroine was such a self-centered wimp that I felt the hero deserved better.
Regan never once thought about how her behavior and duplicity made Zach feel. She acknowledges numerous times - to herself and her family - that she's lying to him, pushing him away, and/or running away from him. But she never feels it necessary to come clean and be honest with this person she supposedly loves. So when and how the t...more

I am really confused on how I feel about this book, even a few days later Im not sure about it. I think its mainly how I felt about Regan and her past abuser. Regan is starting over back in her home town and with a new job. On the way to work she is flirting with a hot guy and ends up having lunch with him. Of course it ends up being her boss Zach and she is understanably pissed because he knew who she was but she didnt know him. She stays but is adamant about not blurring the line between emplo...more

I will admit that I got this book free off of Amazon and boy am I glad that I did. I just another author that I probably would not have read. I have bought the second book in this series and plan on buying the others. The family dynamics of both the Keller and Benson are real and at times hilarious.

This is my first book by this author and a freebie offered for my Kindle. The writing flows very well and the element of the unknown in this story kept me reading until the end.
It is a typical romance of boss and secretary falling in love, but with a twist. Regan Keller has sworn off any future office romance. It’s been nearly a year since she suffered the horrible devastation from loving her previous boss. It’s obvious she still feels the emotional burden and rightly so! When sexy, fi...more

I loved this book so much, that I couldn't put it down. I finished it in a day and can't wait to read the other books in the series. It's a typical romance novel of the boss and his secretary but with a twist. Regain has a past that haunts her andnhas left her scarred and hurt when dealing with men. Zachary Benson, the big shot boss, can't get enough of Regan and strives towards making her his and finding out what has made her so hurt and tense whenever she is around him. Predictable and slightly ridiculous. It was so annoying that with anything to do with Zach, she would compare him to her previous boyfriend who would beat her up. Obviously being a victim of domestic abuse is not an easy thing to go through, but I wanted to run her over at certain points in the book she was so annoying! There's this gorgeous, filthy rich guy, who obviously adores you, so what do you do? Well if you're Regen, you spend your time pushing him away, telling him you can't fall for hi...more
A little too predictable.
2 years ago Regan Kellar fell in love and began a relationship with her boss but it ended tragically with her in the hospital and her family fabricating her and their child's death for their safety. Now she's starting a new job and her boss is showing interest in her but she is extremely hesitant (with good reason). This story follows her journey to healing, trusting and beginning a new relationship with him. Zach Benson (her boss) was a little overwhelming. His pursuit...more

I found this as a free kindle download - so I decided to check it out.
The story was great - albeit predictable to a certain extent - but I was sucked in from the start and finished this in one day. Unfortunately, the writing/editing is definitely still in rough draft form in many places. It didn't distract me too much - at first all I could do was turn the pages and absorb. But when I got to some of the disappointing sex scenes - and some of the jumping around within chapters - I found myself t...more

I thought this was a great read. I was pulled into the book in the first scene and was hooked until the end. You know sort of know what will happen in the end (it is a romance, of course you know) but you weren't sure how it would get there. Bernadette did a great job with the characters in the book from the hero and heroine to the family members and employees. The plot moved along very nicely and I really enjoyed all of the characters (except for the evil Alexander)! I was getting angry at Rega...more
*1/2 stars.
The story started out real fast and quite cute. I instantly liked the characters and the chemistry between Zach and Regan.
Zach was a funny, charismatic, romantic, charming guy; Regan was reserved, definitely attracted to him but, given her past, tried to stay away from him - unsuccessfully.
At times, I tried to root for Regan, hoping her character would evolve into a confidant and strong person, but I was left disappointed and irritated by her immaturity. There wasn't a single thing I...more

I really did enjoy this book and quickly feel in love with Regan just as Zach did. I enjoyed Zach's romantic persistence and even enjoyed Regan's reluctance. My only hesitation in giving this more stars is the same as some others have written. It took pages for Regan's big secret to come to light, but paragraphs for the issue to be over. Even with impending law suits and the threat of taking Regan's baby girl seemed to go to the side by the end of the book. I wish there was more to that side of...more

This book was "ok" (2*) because i liked the beginning and i'm a sucker for a "girl-falls-for-her-powerfull-boss" story, but other than that - IT WAS SOOO ANNOYING!
Quick synopsys:
Regan starts working as an executive assitant for Zach, right after moving back to Tenessee - fleeing from her abusive ex. She falls in love with Zach, but is full of issues and baggage that she can't face and that are preventing her from being emotionally stable and comfortable being in a relationship.

Definitely a sweet read! I have to say that there were a few times that I got irritated with Regan... I understood her need to hesitate but I felt she let her thoughts get in her way on more than one occasion. That doesn't mean I didn't feel for her, the poor woman had been through way too much and had to make decisions that broke my heart, but it was clear what Zach felt for her and I just wanted her to relax a little more. Now, Zach... him I loved... he was sweet and ready to hand Regan the wo...more
I'm sorry I can't believe anyone published this....it was weak in so many ways. There is a moment towards the end of the book when Carlos is talking about a really serious thing that happened to the heroine and in the middle of the statement there's a throw away line about him swinging his beer bottle....it just loses pace like this throughout. The detail is lacking and every bit of the story just jars or is obvious. The ridiculous bits about the french friend....it just didn't make sense and se...more
I'm gonna start this review by saying I really enjoyed this book. It was a lot of fun, and although pretty predictable it was still enjoyable. Wow, lots of "-ble" words there.
There is an underlying mystery, what happened in Regan's past that is haunting her? And that keeps you turning page after page. And when you do discover what is going on there is the question of how Zach will handle it.

This was an Ibook freebie, a lot longer then the other ones. I give it 3 1/2 as hit held my attention and had me intrigue in the plot and where it was going also the heroin-Regan didn't jump to quickly into the romance as she had issues she needed to deal with them. Saying that the hero Zach was a real gentlemen and rich and smart, sometimes too sabby and it was a bit much that a guy like that wasn't taken. If there are guys out there in the world then where are they?????

This was a freebie and was pretty good. I liked the characters and their personalities and the story line was good too. I felt the emotions, but not deeply. Towards the ending...I KNEW it was going to happen. Tsk tsk. She should've told him. The ending was great and happy. I wouldn't mind reading this again and would definitely like to read the rest of the series and get to know the rest of the Kellers. This would be a good relaxing or cuddle-up read. Not really page-turning but it was enjoyable...more
This one's full of emotions.
I admire those women who stands tall after everything that happened to them. I admire them so much that I forgive Regan for being kinda selfish. She deserved some kind of break. She sort of repeats a certain mistake but this time... only this time, it wasn't much of a mistake. It was more like an intervention for her. The intervention is named Zach. This man is one of the sweetest CEO that I've ever read before. His POV was kinda cute if I may say so. I also think tha...more

What can I say about the books that keep me up until 2 in the morning? In it's genre, this is a solid 4 star read. Regan and Zach melt off the pages in this sweet story that offers a struggle of acceptance, lots of swoon worthy romance, and a little suspense. The book is an exploration of self and love for both of these well developed characters. I'm glad to have picked this up while it was free on Amazon because it introduced me to Bernadette Marie and I will certainly be reading more of her of...more
I liked this book a lot. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that I thought Regan should have told Zach what was going on before he found out (but of course it wouldn't have been as dramatic if she had). I also don't understand where she got the idea that he would reject her because she wasn't "good enough" or had "given up a baby". Neither he or her family had ever treated her like that and regardless of what Alexander Hamilton did, her family life raised her differently and I ju...more

the heroine has a super scary past, which makes her wary. the hero is SUPER sweet. however, SO much of this story could have been resolved with actual conversation. i started to not like Regan because she just needed to tell him everything. make an adult decision and have an adult conversation. Zach wasn't much better, he certainly sensed there were issues, but never really pushed for the necessary conversation. unfortunately that type of tension irritates me, so i lost sympathy for the H/H and...more
Typos and editing aside I would only give this 2.5 *'s. I liked the overall premiss of the book, but it lacked substance. There was a lot of things left unsaid in the book to add to the depth of the story. What happens with Alexander? The wedding and after. What type of partnership was he looking for outside of her marrying Zach. You had to read the excerpt from the Keller book 2 to find out they married and 3 years later had a baby. Again so much could have been added to move this to a 4 or 5 s...more
I don't know. It was ok, nothing earth shattering. Just ok. I think the main character Regan was a bit too moody for my taste. Of course there is history there that explains her behavior, but since the history was only hinted about until the very end of the book, it was a bit annoying.
But a typical romance novel all the same. Girl meets boy (and lately the boy has always been a hard working billionaire..), falls in love, has deep dark secrets, boy finds them out, girl is sure that it is the end...more

This book could tell of a very believable fairy tale ever after. Zach would be the top competition to Christian Grey. And It wouldn't have been an easy decision. But that's not the case here sadly. But it could've been.
The story flows, you can tell It has parts in it that could make it really connected and good, but there are parts that are much more developed than others, and some aspects (well many) need to emphasized and exaggerated. It's missing much. And the Author just shot off the mark. D...more

At first I thought that this book would be about how Regan Keller felt. It was, at first. Then it was mostly about how Zachery Benson was feeling. Some of their feelings didn't make sense to me and some parts were vague in the story. The beginning of the story was interesting and I wanted to continue reading to find out about Regans' past that she kept trying to hide. Towards the end of the book, it felt like the story ended when it wasn't suppose to. It was an interesting book.
Well this book could have been a lot better. I mean the way they met was adorable but her trust issues are off the charts. Like come on it happened a year ago and now a wealthy gorgeous man loves you and wants to take care of you forever and couldn't care less about your past wants you and you run! That's like saying not to Christian Grey or Gideon Cross. Simply ridiculous. The ending sucked terribly, seriously this book could have been a lot better. 3 stars and that's being kind.
