Hiho
Loved it! Happened upon Moon Over Madeline Island by accident and devoured it. Anxiously awaited the 3rd installment. So when are the publishers going to get on the bandwagon and do a movie of these fabulous characters?

What a Joy to read! It is an exhuberent ode to living enthuastically. Eve and Ruby are women I would love to know, even love to BE! I can't wait for the next book to be published.

Delightful story of women and relationships. Chose this book because it was being featured in our local library's program on local authors.

The writing in this was cheesy to me....the dialogue was a little ridiculous, and told in first person in such a way that no one would really tell. The storyline was alright, but what really drew me to this book (and kept me reading it) was the familiarity of the setting--references to Bayfield, Duluth, and of course, Madeline Island. It's great when you can read a story and picture yourself in the places described--Gruenke's, Maggie's, Manypenny Ave, the marina, the University of MN Duluth....s...more

Liked the second book more than the first! Things get eerie on Madeline Island this time around. Haunted cabins, long forgotten family secrets, and same great character fun!

Take a virtual tour of the island with my book club and read my interview with the author at my blog!

I didn't like this as much as Moon over Madeline Island, but it was still quite entertaining. I felt like there were too many things going on with this book, and I had a couple "Oh, give me a break" moments, but I still enjoyed reading more about the adventures of Eve and Ruby. And I'm looking forward to the third installment that will come out this fall or next spring!

I used to live in Ashland, WI, so I got this book from the library as a curiosity. The storyline is a bit weak, but the characters are interesting.
