I was disappointed in this book. After waiting for this installment of a series I adore I was expecting more. It wasn't nearly as well thought out as her previous books or as erotic. Nothing new was offered and it was lacking several elements, not the least of which was the steamy love scenes, which have made the past books so compelling that I read them in a day. This one took me about a week, I read the 1st half then set it aside and felt no urgency to pick it back up and finish except it had...more

I've been follow the Satyr series for a few years and I am quite addicted to the world that Elizabeth Amber has created.
For those of you that don't know, this series is a paranormal Erotica series featuring 2 Satyr clans.
The first clan is based in the 1820's. The Tuscany Clan features Nicholas, Raine, Lyon, & Dominic.
The second clan is based in the 1880's. The Rome Clan features Dane, Bastian, & Sevin.

A little history about the Satyr clans. They are from the Otherworld and during the ful...more

This was two stories in one, or more accurately one story ending 2/3 of the way into the book and the lesser story becoming the primary story for the last part of the book. It is not my favorite of the series, but for fans of the series still worth reading. It was also different in that it really was not erotic as the other stories. More hot sex would have warranted another star. Maybe it was because of two stories in one book that the reader was not as connected to the characters as in earlier...more

“Sevin” by Elizabeth Amber is part of her ‘The Lords of Satyr’ series and consists of two tales, “Sevin” and “Lucien”. These two brothers of the Roman Satyr clan are still unmated. Sevin hasn’t found a female that he wants to bond with and his concern for his damaged brother, Lucien, dictates that any female that becomes part of his life will necessarily have to accept Lucien as well--particularly during the Calling. The monthly requirement for satiation is an essential requirement to the Satyr...more

I can officially say that Ms. Amber is consistent! Sevin is panty melting hot, but she followed her pattern that she started with the first set of satyr men (books 1-4), ending a series quickly and abruptly, but in a good yet frustrating way.

Sevin is the brother that was always left behind. Many years ago, his parents died and he also lost his three brothers. Left alone at a very young age, he wondered and tries to understand his existence. Too young to understand his heritage, his coming of age...more
A Voracious Reader (a.k.a. Carol)
Lord Sevin Satyr owns the Salone di Passione where those of ElseWorld can go to slake their passions with others of ElseWorld origin. The Salone has been enormously successful, but now humans know that beings from ElseWorld walk among them and they react in a not very nice manner. Will Sevin be able to keep his business flourishing and his employees and patrons safe and sated in these dangerous times?

Alex Patrizzi’s family did terrible, horrible, unimaginable things to Lucien Satyr and others of...more

I was curious to see what anybody else thought of this, but for once I believe this book has hit down under first. Well after reading the earlier books in the series, I was looking forward to reading Sevin. It was a good trip down memory lane back into the world of the Satyr family, though it was a quick trip as the book ended before I felt it really began.

Happy to see Luc get his happily ever after. I love the backdrop that these books are written about and the totally different world of Europe...more

I thought that the stories were better in these books than in the others that I read. I had stopped reading after book 3. I was disappointed that Lucien's story got swept under the rug and was basically a total rush job. I thought that after all he had been through, he definitely deserved better. :(

The book did give me a renewed interest in the series though. So, I think I'll go back and read the ones that I have skipped.

It's hard to follow up Bastian; I immediately started this after finishing. I enjoyed Sevin, but I was thrown that the ending seemed abrupt. I loved that we received a novella of Lucian at the end. I was thoroughly engrossed with the Lucian story. It was inventive and original. I can't wait to see where Ms. Amber takes us with this journey.

Not a favorite of the series but not the worst of the novellas Elizabeth Amber has written. My problem with this set of stories is the lack of content. They are not as driven by sex and historical plot line as the prior works. It is the sex and history that make this series worth reading. Now it is just fae oriented romance novel rather than erotica. It isn't a horrid romance but I wanted a lot hot Satyr lovin' action through out the book and I was disappointed.

Profoundly annoyed by Luc's story....more

This book is a DNF for me. I'm not familiar with the series but it can be read as a standalone. I wasn't lost and the author did provide enough background information that allowed me to follow the overall plot. I am DNFing this book because I just find the book ridiculous. I don't know if I should take it seriously or not. There are two stories featuring the brothers Sevin and Luc. I managed to read half of Sevin's story and then I started skimming. Once I started skimming, I eventually put the...more

Sevin book started off slow. Half way through the book. I could not but it down. You wanted to know how everything was going to play out. I enjoyed the book. I loved the series. For Lucien book. It was a short story. In the last couple of books you wanted to know what will happen to him because of what he went through. You want to know if he gets the ending we all want him to have. The book does not let you down. Like I said I enjoyed the book and the series.

Continuing the Erotica series: Sevin is two books in one... In this Satyr tale the first book focuses on Sevin, a dreamy hunk Satyr and is a much better read that others in this specific Rome grouping. The second book is dedicated to brother Luc, young, sexy, with a tortured soul who finds love unexpectedly. The ending for Luc seemed rush, but overall still a good story line. Characters for both books are enjoyable. Overall this novel worked out to be better than a few prior ones. Would have enj...more

Fantastic as always! Hot and sexy with two great story lines! I can't WAIT for the next Satyr installment!!

Sevin is Scrumptious! I love this series, and each has been a delight. I loved Sev in himself, strong with a strong love for his family. Sevin has a lot on his shoulders with his business and worried for his youngest brother Lucien, so he did not need the added attraction of a woman he can never have.

Lucien, cannot control his powers and his memories are haunting him. He needs to get away from it all, so he takes the only way out he can. Little does Lucien, that his way out may not only heal him...more

Disappointed in Sevin (The Lords of Satyr, #7) - basically two novellas - the last two Roman Forum brothers, Sevin and Lucien (Luc). They both get their HEA's and Luc's novella especially felt rushed. Not a reread.

Looks like Raine (The Lords of Satyr, #2) and Jordan continue to be my favorite Satyr couple.

Fairly good writing skills. I believe this to be better written than the 50 Shades of Gray trilogy.

I was a little disappointed in the addition of a "Luc" novella. Given his history in this series, I think a whole book could have been dedicated to him. I thought Sevin was o.k. the whole series feels as if it's over now that Elseworld creatures are know to earth. Where does it go from here? I just don't think an Elseworld brothel will do the trick in providing a mutually peaceful resolution between humans and elseworlders. Perhaps I'm a pessimist in this regard.

Both Sevin and Luc were married off in this book. The two stories in one book both zipped along quickly covering much needed ground. Loose ends were tied up and both men found the exact right woman for their life style and for their needs. I did enjoy the book. There was the desired Satyr passion, suspense, mystery and character development expected in a good book. It was a hard one to put down.

I didn't even start this one
Dawn ♥ romance
These erotic stories were enjoyable enough. The first one about Satyr brother Sevin had enough of a plot for all the sex but his perceived enemy Alexa too easily fell into the bad guys trap. The second troubled brother Lucian's story was better but it went a little overboard on chauvinistic society where healer Natalia was raised.
Linda
This entire series has been captivating and each story is completely different and at the same time, all is interrelated. I wasn't expecting two separate stories in the same book focusing on two different characters. I think if each character had its own book there could have been a lot more in depth character development.

I expected more out of this one I am sorry to say it was quick and not overly eventful
Spoiler Whore drops the F bomb
Not enough nitty gritty for me like in the first 3 books to this series. With Sevin and Lucien's story they felt rushed. Enjoyable but wanted way more.

OMG! I loved this book. Sevin's section was good, but my fave was Luc. Made my heart bleed and beat harder to help him.

Hi, I'm Elizabeth Amber, author of The Lords of Satyr series of hot historical paranormal romance novels: Nicholas, Raine, Lyon, Dominic, Dane, Bastian, and Sevin (2012). I'm a museum junkie and love history and archeology. When I was an art history major at university many years ago, I became fascinated with Greco-Roman artifacts.
