Wow. It’s been a tough couple days since I finished Divide and Conquer. I, like many other people who love these books, was floored by the tender beginning, the explosive (pun intended) middle and the frustrating end. This book is a perfect example of the dangerous mid-point in a series where everything starts to fall apart and you wonder if anyone will be able to survive, physically and emotionally, what is coming next. Ugh, I hate this point.

Now to the spoilery part of the review:

I, like many other people who love these books, was floored by the tender beginning, the explosive (pun intended) middle and the frustrating end. This book is a perfect example of the dangerous mid-point in a series where everything starts to fall apart and you wonder if anyone will be able to survive, physically and emotionally, what is coming next. Ugh, I hate this point.

There’s been a lot of discussion around whether or not Ty is true to character in this book – specifically at the points where he blows off Zane’s I love you and then the way he reacts to Nick’s kiss. For me, Ty has seemed like a contradiction since the beginning. He’s a hard ass, intimidating military man that is yet willing and able to put himself emotionally out on the line over and over and over again for Zane. It doesn’t make sense. But I think that’s because I had Ty pegged as one thing and as the series moves on, and we get to know him better, we find out there’s way more we don’t know about him.

Not exactly sure why I feel as strongly as I do about this, but I’m solidly behind Ty even after this book. Maybe it’s that I get him better than I get Zane. Ty’s hard edged, smart ass, loyal, battling with the dark, trying to live in the present persona, really mirrors my personality in a lot of ways, so I understand where he’s coming from. Zane, on the other hand, bugs me for the same reasons he bugs Ty on occasion – tight-lipped, stick up the ass, that’s still so focused on his past that he can’t see what’s in front of him.

I think some of the most telling scenes in the book are the moments where Zane realizes that Ty knows Zane much better than Zane knows Ty. And it’s true! It’s not like either of them has been particularly chatty about their past (I mean, Ty talks about his Recon days just as much as Zane talks about his family or his wife – which is NEVER), but Ty has been watching Zane, learning him, paying attention to the little things that make Zane Zane. By his own admission, Zane hasn’t. That breaks my heart for Ty. He may think that Zane loves him, but to not hear the words and not to really see it in their daily interactions, no wonder when Zane finally says the words, Ty laughs it off. Yeah, it’s a dick move, but Ty’s worn down, insecure and not sure that Zane wouldn’t just say it at that moment because he’s grateful, not because he actually feels it. Wish we had a Ty POV at that moment, because I can almost bet that Ty’s heart stopped beating when he heard that and he had to pull himself back together quickly because he just didn’t believe Zane could be telling the truth. We know he is, because we’ve been in Zane’s head, Ty is still out there guessing. That scene pisses me off (like all of their other miscommunication scenes), but it makes sense with who they are as characters and where they are in their confusion.

And Nick, now there’s the proverbial can of worms. I hate the guy. Period. So wrong to take advantage of your best friend’s weak spot to try and wedge the other guy out because you haven’t had enough balls to say something years earlier. Lame. And slimy. Ty’s reaction on the other hand, surprised me, but I now think it shouldn’t have. We get to be inside Ty’s head the moment he’s shocked to feel Nick’s lips on his. And in situations like that I'm guessing you would have all kinds of thoughts going through your head that you would think but then dismiss, but we only get to hear what he's thinking initially, not the full thought stream of where he arrives at the end of it.

Being drunk, just outing himself and his partner, and finding out his best friend is gay, too, and *wants* you - in a span of a couple of hours - would throw anyone for a loop. I don't think it excuses anything, but I think it goes toward explaining how crazy out of character it seems for him. And on top of that, he's seen the man he loves go through hell in the last week and is afraid to admit to himself that he is scared shitless about losing Zane - in the line of work and personally.

That's a pretty messed up place to be in your head.

To be fair, I know I’m pushing the Ty agenda. Mostly because he’s going to get a lot of hate until he does some explaining and ass-kissing in A&D. Rightly so.

Now let me give Zane the word space he deserves. Some of my favorite Zane moments (although this book is full of them honestly, he’s achingly vulnerable in this book). I love the moment on the softball field where he realizes he is in love with Ty. It is so touching and real. His recovery is fully on track and he’s clearer than he’s been in a long time. And Zane’s colossal bravery and strength dealing with his blindness, not to mention taking off with that bomb, the man makes heroism even sexier. Then there’s the door scene. Don’t even get me started on that. Jesus, I love that scene.

It’s obvious the two mean a hell of a lot to each other. They both, independently and intentionally, end up outing themselves because they want people around them to know how important they are in each other’s lives. Way sexy.

F&C was Zane’s book to flounder, this one was Ty’s and hopefully A&D can find them starting to build each other and their relationship back up again. Ever heard that joke - nothing ruins a relationship faster than having two people in it – yeah, so true here.

I’ve read that there are going to be 9 books, and for all the “Team Ty and Zane Forever” members out there I would like to officially beg Urban and Roux to not bring the element of cheating into this (too heartbreaking), and not to make them struggle for too long. I would love to see them come together as a strong couple in the next book and then deal with the other problems many gay couples have to deal with anyway, on a daily basis, still today – coming out, family, marriage, work, friends, legal status, and dare I say kids - problems that are problems regardless of your sexuality, but are compounded greatly in a gay relationship. There’s a lot of topics to tackle that have nothing to do with yanking these two continually apart. My two cents.

Bottom line, this was a tough book to read, but definitely my favorite of the four so far. It elicited a whirlwind of emotions and made me love the two even more. I’m DESPERATE for an HEA for these guys. To Urban and Roux, your writing gets stronger as the series moves on and I look forward to reading more soon. Like tomorrow. Please?(less)

Divide & Conquer is the fourth book in the exciting M/M Romantic Suspense series, Cut & Run, and yes, we have another winner!

In this installment, FBI Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett are back in Baltimore dealing with riots, robbery and anarchists. It’s a volatile situation - to say the least, and it just keeps getting worse. Despite the Bureau’s attempts to bring law and order back to the city, chaos rules. And as if that weren’t bad enough, our beloved heroes find themselves the targets of a self-important madman who has little regard for human life - especially theirs.

I don’t often find myself so attached to the characters in a book, but there’s just something about Ty and Zane that I can't resist. Somewhere along the way they stopped being merely inked words on the page and became living, breathing people. Are they flawed? Oh, yeah, but those flaws only make them that much more endearing. And despite their stubborn, hurtful and sometimes clueless words and actions, there’s this easy, comfortable dynamic to their relationship – when they’re not beating the crap out of each other, that is – and that’s what keeps me coming back for more. Well, that and moments like this:

Several heartbeats of quiet passed before Zane spoke. “First time I saw you, after I got over hating you, I knew,” he said, echoing Ty's words, “I knew I'd fall in love with you.”

Ty shivered all over, torn between the comforting warmth of Zane's words and the cold terror of impending crush injuries. He couldn't get in any air to speak.

“I laughed at myself,” Zane continued, a hint of pleading in his voice, “and then I denied it, and then I did everything I could to prove myself wrong, but it didn't work.”

“I know, Zane,” Ty whispered, though he had to admit the words brought a certain level of relief he hadn't realized he'd needed.

“Ty.” Zane's even, soothing tones finally broke on the short gasp of his name. “I love you and I'm scared I'll lose you. Please don't leave me alone in the dark.”

With their hilarious banter one minute and these moments of heartbreaking vulnerability the next, these men have positively captured my heart. I laugh with them, cheer for them, and even shed a few tears - but most importantly, I am head over heels in love with Ty and Zane.

The bottom line - Divide & Conquer, like the previous books in the series, has everything I look for in Romantic Suspense – a great storyline, amazing characters, burn-up-the-pages love scenes and a heartwarming, believable romance! I don’t know how they do it, but Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux consistently bring all kinds of wonderful to this series and I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to have found these authors. If you’re looking for a fantastic M/M series, heavy on the romance but not lacking in sizzle, then you definitely need to read these books!

What I loved most about this one was how much Ty and Zane's relationship grew. With the trials they had to go through and each of them getting hurt, of course!, it was fascinating seeing them work together to maintain a relationship. They took care of the each other and they actually enjoyed doing it because they love each other. They are both still stubborn, snarky and hot. I couldn't get enough of them and while they are both funny by themselves, together they are extremely hysterical. All their one-liners and inside jokes had me laughing every few minutes.

I felt like this book had non-stop action. While the villains were somewhat simplistic and at times I couldn't understand why they were so psychotic, I still enjoyed the chaos they created. With each chapter, there was some type of action that left me on the edge of my seat. Even with so much suspense, there was definitely a lot more romance between Ty and Zane. It felt nice seeing them grow and actually getting to meet Ty's Recon buddies and how he interacts with them. I loved that Zane finally worked through his feelings with Ty and came to a conclusion. What I loved most? How Ty handled the deception of loving Zane with his Recon team. I will never forget what he does or how he handles it.

The ending almost killed me. I was so frustrated with how it ended! But the more I thought about it and the more I compared it with the excerpt for book 5, it made me think how it wasn't so bad. I loved these guys, I loved the heroes that they are and I love how they can kickass so easily while still showing their love for each other and how they can do it and still be so hot. All in all, did I love this book? Yes, absolutely. Will I be waiting impatiently for Armed and Dangerous to come out? You bet your ass, I will. Will I recommend this book? There is just no way I would not recommend this book. The series keeps getting better and better, IMO, and I'm so looking to the next one!(less)

I was at a loss for words when I finished Divide & Conquer. I hadn’t had such a sucker punch of an ending in a book for a long time. I was so mad and frustrated and overwhelmed you could practically see fumes coming out of my ears. It took me a couple of days to gather my thoughts and process my emotions. And this review won’t be easy. Because this is the first installment in the Cut & Run series I’m not sure how to rate: it could very well be my favourite and my least favourite book so...more

The truth is I was going to wait for my paperback copy, but hell, I knew I would hit something (or someone) if I didn't read Divide & Conquer ASAP, so I bought the ebook version, too.

And yeah, I agree. It's impossible not to love Ty. He may be an ass sometimes, but who wouldn't be with so many issues, doubts and insecurities as Ty has. And I know that in some situations he comes off as selfish, but he doesn't act as such to hurt Zane. It's his defense mechanism, like with the first "I love you". He's so insecure in this relationship, even more so with Zane being blind. After all, up to that moment they were partners, equals and suddenly shit happens and he's not even there to prevent the explosion or somehow help Zane. He's drugged in a car while his partner is alone and could very well die! He didn't have Zane's back. And of course it's so Ty to blame himself for this. And all he's able to think of is how he let Zane down. So from that very moment everything changes and he's the one on whom Zane leans. Terrified of the possibility that Zane's blindness could be a permanent thing. He's as much in the dark as Zane is, or even more so, I dare say. Zane can lean on Ty but on whom can Ty lean for support? Ty's not accustomed to such situations. And while Zane is vulnerable in this book, so is Ty. And Nick comes when Ty is at his most vulnerable. So yeah, he behaves like a selfish prick when he expects Zane to hold his hand after he tells him about the kiss, but hey, the guy's world's just collapsed. He comes clean to his Recon team, tells them that he likes guys, one of his buddies turns his back on him and what's probably even worst - he finds out that his best friend lied to him, the same best friend professes his love for him and kisses the hell out of Ty when he knows that Ty loves another man! Shocked doesn't cover how Ty must have felt in that moment. So I truly cannot blame him for being insensitive. It's obvious he loves Zane and his yelling at Zane for risking his life when he grabbed the bomb and ran shows just how scared Ty was that he would lose the best thing that ever happend to him. So what there is not to love? :)(less)

The key word for this review has got be EXPLOSIVE!!! Because not only were our boys literally dodging bombs throughout the book… they were also dropping their own proverbial bombs as well. And the fallout both devastating and awesome to witness!!!!

I don’t even know where to start with this review. This was probably the most powerful book in the series so far. So many issues coming up. So many obstacles and threatening forces to conquer; not only at work, but also for both Ty and Zane personally...more

Another great installment in Cut & Run series, though i must say that to me, it felt like it missed something....and i can't figure it out. Which is why i am giving it 4.5 stars instead of 5.

ANYWAY, Ty and Zane are back in all of their awesomeness!

Let me just say that I didn't think it was possible for me to fall more in love with Ty and Zane or this series until I read this book. No joke. I'm pretty sure, I'm going to say that again in the upcoming books but for now, that's where I stand.

This book completely drained me emotionally. Ty and Zane are both so explosive, and physically strong - and then they are bombarded with very fragile emotional states. I was very curious to see how their relationship would progress after Ty's "I love you" in Fish & Chips. While my heart would love it if Zane would scream "I love you too," and they both hold hands and skip down the road together, that is SO not Ty and Zane. I was very curious to see how their relationship would progress after Ty's "I love you" in Fish & Chips. I think we see such a vulnerable side to Zane in this book. Not just with his physical impairment, but his internal struggle with his feelings. I find it so interesting that these authors had other characters point out to Ty that Zane is stuck up and not right for him. I love that these boys are so flawed, and others recognize these flaws as well.

And then Ty!! Damn it I love Ty so much. How do you even begin describing him...or his motives or feelings? He is so gruff, and tough - and then he asks Zane to slow dance with him. He just puts his heart so much into everything he does - whether it is work or love - and for that reason, hurts just as deeply.

I think the emotional aspect in this one is done really well. I'm slightly terrified to see how book five starts. I hear this is a 8 (or so) book series and I'm not sure if I can handle Ty and Zane on the outs for a book or two.

The mystery in this one is not as strong - but I liked that because there is so much intensity surrounding their relationship.

I still feel like these two are growing, and progressing in their relationship in each book. I'm not frustrated yet with their relationship...it in no way feels stagnant...at one point in the story, they mention that they were only up in WV (bk 2) four months ago. They are so screwed up emotionally, I think their relationship needs lots of time. I do think I'm ready for them to start sharing more about their past with each other.

I just hope the very last sentence is not foreshadowing what is to come in Book 5. (less)

Hmmm - okay, how to rate/review this book? I will say right off the bat that the timing was horrendous. I just finished Mexican Heat: Crimes & Cocktails, Book 1 minutes before starting this book and I was basically like, wait, is this the same book? I just finished Mexican Heat: Crimes & Cocktails, Book 1 minutes before starting this book and I was basically like, wait, is this the same book? (checks cover - huh, that's so weird) Please, someone who has read both Mexican Heat and Divide & Conquer, can I get an Amen? So that is going to skew my perception a little bit. And also - huge WTF with the ending that came out of nowhere. GRRR.

Our boys Zane and Ty are back and working out of the Baltimore office. There have been a rash of crimes and rioting and the general public are incensed that the police and government officials are not doing enough to protect the citizenry. In fighting this crime spree, Zane and Ty inadvertently become the poster boys for the bureau when they appear on the local news. This causes them to become targets of the people responsible for the crime wave. The plot was okay - the Cut & Run series has always been a little weak on plot for me. Especially for a book with two awesome FBI agents as the MCs. You can just do SO much with that. They should just be brilliant investigators and run down all the bad guys without even working up a sweat. Instead they keep getting blown up. I mean like ALL the time. In Cut & Run I was annoyed that Ty and Zane never even figured out who the bad guy was when it was SOOO obvious *rolls eyes*. Again in this book, they didn't really figure anything out, but pieces do eventually fall into place with a big huge - TA-DA! *polite golf clap* So in terms of plot, this book definitely did not exceed my expectations.

From a relationship perspective, Ty and Zane appear to be doing pretty well at first, and they spend as much time as they can together. They have some very cute scenes with bantering and teasing, showing that they finally do actually like like each other. We know that at the end of Fish & Chips (view spoiler) I've been frustrated with Zane from book 1. How can someone be so absolutely clueless with his emotions? Even more annoying is that he always thinks the right thing to say but never actually says them. What is so hard, Zane? Open your mouth and just spit the words out! PAH! See? So easy. I still absolutely love Ty and can't believe how extremely patient he is throughout the book.

What I liked: Ty, Ty's personality, Ty's patience, Ty's big huge heart, Ty's amazing sexual prowess
What I didn't like: insipid plot, similarity to Mexican Heat, Zane the slowest relationship mo-fo ever, bizarre and random drama with Ty's Recon team member Nick, and huge WTF ending.

I'm sorry - I do have to address the ending. It just seemed like it was totally tacked on there like....hey, maybe we should have a cliffhanger ending to make people more interested in the sequel? Those just make me MAD. And you won't like it when I'm MAD. My green skin is getting ready to bust through these clothes.(less)

It was nice to see Zane finally come to his senses. It was hard to see the guys suffer through pain and misery and hospital visits yet again. I enjoyed this story as much as the others although the ending actually stopped my heart. Have to love a book that had me that emotionally wrapped up in it that I gasped out loud in shock. Whew what a roller coaster ride of emotions. Zane was really at a disadvantage physically and mentally in this book. Ty was fending off old love interests left and right. I felt a bit left up in the air at the end. Not really sure where things are headed for our two MC's after this and my belief in their love for each other is somewhat deflated. Each book, case, and adventure seems to cause another layer or emotion to ripple through and affect Ty and Zane’s personal lives and relationship. This story ramped up the heartache and heat to a whole new level! Bombers are terrorizing the streets of Baltimore. So leave it to Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett to make themselves the next target and focus of the media and the bombers. They just can’t seem to help themselves. ;) Ty and Zane will have to trust and lean on each other on the job and at home like never before.

Ty Grady and Zane Garrett appear to have settled into a comfortable routine at work and play with each other. I felt at home with these two in this book. For me the story felt very real, comfortable, and almost intimate. Perhaps because this was the first time readers get to experience and see the pair working a case on home turf in Baltimore. We see them at the office, out for drinks, staying and sharing each other’s places, and developing a fun camaraderie with fellow agents. These two can make me laugh like no one can! Zane can pun me to death anytime! :D Whether Ty and Zane are texting, cooking, dancing, or causing such fun, heat and passion in the bedroom or wherever they seem to end up—they squeeze the hell out of my heart! :D

One of my favorite aspects of this series is the pacing and development of the characters. A joke from the second book can appear here in the fourth. Layers, pain, and events alluded to in previous books are slowly revealed and dealt with throughout the series. I like that the pain is not magically fixed each book--these men are haunted with their pain and loss. Each book just reveals so much more of their hearts, love, passion, and heat that often turns to such vulnerability and intimacy. The trust these two begin to show in each other is down right beautiful and sexy as all hell at times.

Zane noted at one point that he might never see every side to his partner—well I feel the same about both of these guys! But damn I am going to have fun trying. They keep tugging on my heart in new ways every book. My heart cannot take it! Let’s just say Divide & Conquer inspired me to toss my kindle around several times and mark a certain date in May in giant letters on my calendar! I am just waiting to breathe again. Until May!

I do have to throw in a shout out of love and thanks to goodreads here. I happened upon this series by chance just clicking around one night on GR. If it wasn’t for a couple of rave reviews I would have missed out on one hell of a ride! As much as I love this series—I have to say Ty and Zane are even better shared!

I missed Ty and Zane. I’ve been looking forward to this novel .. well for only about a month now, but such anticipation!

Ty and Zane have a wonderful relationship that borderline on explosive arguments and delicious intimacy. Two hotshot FBI agents working together as partners .. in more ways than one.

So before the venting comes up, I’ll summaries a bit. Divide & Conquer is the fourth installment in the Cut and Run series. Ty and Zane are together in Baltimore where there’s been a rash of robberies and bombings. Along with the police, the FBI have come under scrutiny by the public and the media to figure out who's been terrorizing the city. By this I mean, Ty and Zane are targets again.

There were so many parts that I loved in this book but I doubt I can name them all. The very top of my list was the dancing scene. OMG, my heart is just melting thinking about it. It was so unexpected, touching, romantic, ok I'm gushing. But what I didn’t get was Ty’s reaction to when Zane told him he loved him. Did he really not believe him? This confused me because Ty's been waiting for this for a while now. All I can think of was that he really thought Zane just got caught up in the moment. Of course isn't that when people say "I Love You?" It's not always a planned thing. It wasn't for Ty.

It was bothersome because when he comes out to his buddies at the bar he tells Nick that Zane didn’t reciprocate his feelings and he’s just waiting for it to happen. Maybe Zane didn’t in the last book but he did when they were dancing. And even Ty thinks to himself that Zane does love him but he just needs time to “analyze it”. He made Zane sound like he’s just in it for the sex. WTF! He said Zane was a good guy but that was it.

This leads me to the kiss. I had a bad feeling about Nick as soon as he arrived. He was too jealous for it to be just a friendship on his part. Now onto Ty and Zane. Ty enjoyed those kisses way too much and contemplating the what if’s with Nick pissed me off. But at least he was honest with Zane. This is where I become disappointed with Zane. Granted he’s somewhat insecure and closes off his emotions but a kiss is a big deal. I mean he basically blew it off like it was nothing. Is he that afraid that he can't even confront him?

Another great part for me was when Zane came out of the fog at the ball field with the wink from Ty. He finally accepted his feelings for Ty. It's something Ty has done so many times but it took that time and moment for it to click for Zane. Simply Beautiful. Oh and I can't forget the jealous and possessive side of Ty. He was so freakin HOT.

There were also so many hilarious parts, I can’t even count. The banter between these two keeps getting better and better.

Ok so now we come to the end. I was worried about this even before I picked up the book. The split in the piggy with the band aide had me extremely nervous. Guess I had reason to be. I’m still not sure what to think about Ty leaving. I actually gave him some slack when he walked out on Zane for not leaving the note earlier in the book. I think it was more than just worrying about Zane. I think his guilt was catching up to him and the doubts Nick put in his head all came together and he blew. I wish Zane had done the same thing when he found out about the kiss. Ty better be in a very dire situation because the only reason he made it out of the mausoleum with any part of his mind left was because Zane was by his side!

I'm going to have a hard time waiting until May for more Ty and Zane.(less)

Humourous, sexy 4th 'Cut & Run' book which involves the boys tackling a bomber and Ty meeting up with his Marine buddies.

With his lips on Ty's, his eyes closed and Ty's arms around him, the world didn't feel dark and foreboding.

I'm kinda speechless myself. This one was not only darker, but the characters didn't make sense to me. I'm not going to keep on bitching about the damn kiss, but it totally ruined the last 25% of the story.

What was the point of that?

I can't even bring myself to give it less than five stars, so I won't give it any until I cool down a little.

-NOOOOOO! It really ends there?! How am I supposed to read Warrior's Cross now and hold back from attacking Armed and Dangerous immediately??
-This book was incredibly hot and very sweet and fucking FUNNY. I love that these books make me laugh so often. The camaraderie between the boys and their co-workers, and between Ty and his Marine buddies, was a joy to read.
-I almost feel...bad that Nick didn't get some Ty love, before Zane came along. Almost...more

Although I wasn't thrilled with a couple things in this book, it's gonna have to be horribly heinous (alliteration just for you, Ty) for me to give these boys less than 5 stars. This book has a lot more to chew over, so bear with me.

The book started off with one of the reasons we love Ty/Zane...their banter. The texts were hilarious, loved the puns, and I am especially partial to this one: "Fuck you, Zane. Fuck you. So much." That is SO Ty Grady. *thud*

Baseball: I loved this scene for the emotions brought out. Zane watching Ty with pride, Ty's affectionate gestures, and Zane realizing that he truly does love Ty. Now, for Zane to find the right time to tell him.

Dancing: Ty slow dancing with Zane. Zane got swept away in the moment and told Ty he loves him. He DOES love him, yet Ty blew it off. I was screaming "NO!", but...it all makes sense now. After Ty blew him off, Zane felt a sense of relief. Ty had sensed Zane's anxiety, and let him off the hook. It was the right thing to do at the time.

Ryan, the waiter, & door sex: Wow, didn't see that one coming! I fully expected to see Zane, at some point, getting jealous and attacking Ty. I sure didn't think it would be the other way around! Thanks for keeping me on my toes, even if Zane was barely on his toes because of it. LOL

I wasn't real thrilled with Ty's lack of patience while Zane was injured. I do think I understand that this is Ty under extreme stress, worry, and lack of sleep. It was all just too much on his shoulders all at once. He's not used to going through these stressful events with someone that he loves--caring more for someone else than he does for himself. Not to say he's selfish, but this is the first time he has ever been in love. Blowing up at Zane and hitting him? Well, it was kind of an accident when he hit him, and his control had run out when Zane tried to grab his arm. Then, he calls the doc, hangs out to see what the doc says, and leaves. I think I was as stunned as Zane, but I didn't think it was completely OOC for Ty. He snapped, plain and simple. It was a little concerning that he didn't see about Zane for 4 days though, and at that, Zane had to go to him to apologize. I really think it was all about Ty thinking that he was giving so much more to the relationship than Zane was.

Nick & Recon buddies: Nick, the bastard. Ty tells his friends he is bi/gay and in a relationship with Zane. Ty tells them he loves Zane, and Zane loves him back, but hasn't said it. Nick repeatedly harps on the fact that Zane hasn't said "I love you", just so he can try to get with Ty. What a jerk; some friend. Oh, and apologizes for kissing Ty, THEN TELLS HIM HE LOVES HIM!!! WTF?!?! Pathetic POS.

Ty should've stuck up for Zane more and said the things he was thinking about, like how he knows Zane better than they do, etc. I think Ty didn't want to look like a punk making excuses with the "I love him, and he loves me, but hasn't told me yet, but let me tell you how great he is even though you all think he's using me for sex." I'd guess that's why he didn't defend Zane to his buddies more than he did. Also, I think he was occupied with worrying and then reacting to his friends' reactions to him coming out.

I was NOT HAPPY that Ty kissed Nick back and got turned on, thought it felt right, but wrong for not being Zane. Then, Ty entertains thoughts of what life would be like with Nick--all fun and games, but he doesn't love him. I thought all of that was actually a believable reaction, just not the one I was happy with since I'm all about Ty being with Zane. When Ty told Zane about kissing Nick, Zane was about to walk out. Thank goodness Ty was still the Ty we know, and he took the leap to ask Zane to stay with him. It was painful for both of them. I think all that did was put doubts in Ty's mind and fuel the drama.

In the end, Zane had to be the strong one for Ty, which is what Ty needed right then. Zane told Ty he loves him and all was right with the world for a moment. I knew the cliffhanger was coming, my heart was pounding, and when I read that, I was like WTF?! Not cool for so many reasons, but keeeep reading. :-)
