This book starts a few weeks after Fish and Chips ends...

Wow. It’s been a tough couple days since I finished Divide and Conquer. I, like many other people who love these books, was floored by the tender beginning, the explosive (pun intended) middle and the frustrating end. This book is a perfect example of the dangerous mid-point in a series where everything starts to fall apart and you wonder if anyone will be able to survive, physically and emotionally, what is coming next. Ugh, I hate this point.

Update 5/20: Abigail Roux has since reached out to me privately and explained her position. As such, portions of this review have been reworded to avoid unnecessary snark ^_^ None of the opinions have been changed, but I admit there were comments that could easily be misinterpreted and I'm not above admitting my own sloppiness in this regard.
Update 5/18: DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA. It seems a girl can't have an opinion anymore. I almost had it in my mind to change this review to one star because authors...more

Edited to add: I've been thinking a lot about the cover image for Divide & Conquer and while it, minus the band-aids, comes directly from one of the scenes, it also speaks volumes about Zane and Ty's relationship. The two halves might be together, but they're barely together. We've all heard the saying about putting a band-aid on the wound when major surgery is needed? That describes their relationship perfectly, especially in this book. Terrific cover choice!

Honestly, I don't really know what to say. I've been thinking and thinking of my review since reading this and nothing comes to mind on how I should phrase this review.
Simply put, I loved this book. I've loved this whole series and in my eyes this book lived up to the last three. It's one of my favorite series and with each book they just seem to get better and better.

I was at a loss for words when I finished Divide & Conquer. I hadn’t had such a sucker punch of an ending in a book for a long time. I was so mad and frustrated and overwhelmed you could practically see fumes coming out of my ears. It took me a couple of days to gather my thoughts and process my emotions. And this review won’t be easy. Because this is the first installment in the Cut & Run series I’m not sure how to rate: it could very well be my favourite and my least favourite book so...more
I finished it last night (or this morning?). At 5 a.m. But that's what you get when you start reading in the evening. The truth is I was going to wait for my paperback copy, but hell, I knew I would hit something (or someone) if I didn't read Divide & Conquer ASAP, so I bought the ebook version, too.
SPOILER ! ! !

The key word for this review has got be EXPLOSIVE!!! Because not only were our boys literally dodging bombs throughout the book… they were also dropping their own proverbial bombs as well. And the fallout both devastating and awesome to witness!!!!
I don’t even know where to start with this review. This was probably the most powerful book in the series so far. So many issues coming up. So many obstacles and threatening forces to conquer; not only at work, but also for both Ty and Zane personally...more

Another great installment in Cut & Run series, though i must say that to me, it felt like it missed something....and i can't figure it out. Which is why i am giving it 4.5 stars instead of 5.

WARNING! This review will definitely contain major spoilers as I do not know how to write non-spoilery review.
Let me just say that I didn't think it was possible for me to fall more in love with Ty and Zane or this series until I read this book. No joke. I'm pretty sure, I'm going to say that again in the upcoming books but for now, that's where I stand.

**Spoilers for previous book, Fish & Chips.***
This book completely drained me emotionally. Ty and Zane are both so explosive, and physically strong - and then they are bombarded with very fragile emotional states. I was very curious to see how their relationship would progress after Ty's "I love you" in Fish & Chips. While my heart would love it if Zane would scream "I love you too," and they both hold hands and skip down the road together, that is SO not Ty and Zane. I think we see such...more

Hmmm - okay, how to rate/review this book? I will say right off the bat that the timing was horrendous. I just finished Mexican Heat: Crimes & Cocktails, Book 1 minutes before starting this book and I was basically like, wait, is this the same book? (checks cover - huh, that's so weird) Please, someone who has read both Mexican Heat and Divide & Conquer, can I get an Amen? So that is going to skew my perception a little bit. And also - huge WTF with the ending that came out of nowhere. G...more
It was nice to see Zane finally come to his senses. It was hard to see the guys suffer through pain and misery and hospital visits yet again. I enjoyed this story as much as the others although the ending actually stopped my heart. Have to love a book that had me that emotionally wrapped up in it that I gasped out loud in shock. I love Ty and Zane. I love the writing. I love the suspense. I loved finally getting a glimpse of Ty's friends. There's still so much to know about these guys, their pas...more

I am going to hold off a bit on my review and rating. I don't think I can fairly rate it yet until it can sink in and I'd like others to get a chance to read it. Let's just say I though it was good, though I don't think I quite liked it as much as I did Book 3.
Whew what a roller coaster ride of emotions. Zane was really at a disadvantage physically and mentally in this book. Ty was fending off old love interests left and right. I felt a bit left up in the air at the end. Not really sure where things are headed for our two MC's after this and my belief in their love for each other is somewhat deflated. The bad guys (and the plot) are too OTT and lack credibility. There's a very interesting twist in the excerpt from book 5. In general though it was enjo...more

Divide & Conquer is book four in Abigail Roux and Madeleine Urban’s extremely addictive Cut & Run Series. A series that has become one of my favorites due to the most frustratingly complex, layered, adorable, vulnerable, strong, sexy, and heartbreakingly damaged characters I have ever come across in fiction. Simply put—I adore Ty and Zane!
Each book, case, and adventure seems to cause another layer or emotion to ripple through and affect Ty and Zane’s personal lives and relationship. This...more

I missed Ty and Zane. I’ve been looking forward to this novel .. well for only about a month now, but such anticipation!
Ty and Zane have a wonderful relationship that borderline on explosive arguments and delicious intimacy. Two hotshot FBI agents working together as partners .. in more ways than one.
In the last book, before Ty pushed Zane off of a third story balcony and into a pool, he confessed his love. Zane has been fighting his feelings for Ty for some time now. Fighting. Denying. Struggli...more

Love, love, love Ty and Zane! Thanks for reading it with me, Baba! *Mwah!!!*
Divide & Conquer has to be the best of the Cut & Run series so far! When all hell breaks loose in the city of Baltimore, our favorite FBI agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett find themselves once again caught in the middle. But in the midst of the chaos, their love story amps up even further, figuring out how to be together and making time for one another whenever possible. It isn’t always easy for them but they try to make it work.

The series is getting better and better. Every new book brings new challenges to our guys – and I can't get enough.
Ty and Zane are their usual snarky, sexy selves. There are so many funny, beautiful, touching moments in this book - the texting at work, the dancing in the living room, Zane's declarations - and the list goes on and on. It's so good to finally see Ty and Zane getting so comfortable around each other, so affectionate, so tender. I love that fact that Ty, the former Marine bad-ass, i...more

Humourous, sexy 4th 'Cut & Run' book which involves the boys tackling a bomber and Ty meeting up with his Marine buddies.

With his lips on Ty's, his eyes closed and Ty's arms around him, the world didn't feel dark and foreboding.

I'm kinda speechless myself. This one was not only darker, but the characters didn't make sense to me. I'm not going to keep on bitching about the damn kiss, but it totally ruined the last 25% of the story.
What was the point of that?
I can't even bring myself to give it less than five stars, so I won't give it any until I cool down a little.

D&C, the 4th installment of the Cut & Run series, was as emotion and action packed as the first 3. Although I wasn't thrilled with a couple things in this book, it's gonna have to be horribly heinous (alliteration just for you, Ty) for me to give these boys less than 5 stars. This book has a lot more to chew over, so bear with me.
