This is a cute story, but it just wasn't all that well written. I would have definitely given it a 3 or 4 star if there had been a little more editing to it. There are a lot of places where text should have been cut because the main character was just saying the obvious over and over again. Even so, it was a free book and quick read.

Spoilers:

The plot is cute—A girl has been broken up with by her boyfriend because he is marrying a girl he got pregnant while cheating on her, so she goes to therap...more

Lacy Camey's debut novel is a sweet journey as Norah Johnson goes from heartbreak at the hands of her New York Yankee ex-boyfriend to healing with the help of her family, best friend, and a new man. A gorgeous setting on the beach helps bring this book to life as this novel takes shape.Norah's spiral out of control and into depression alarms those closest to her, finally resulting in her parents insisting she visit a therapist and then move into the family beach house for the summer to get over...more

I'm not sure how to describe this book. It wasn't bad, it just didn't do much for me. While reading, the word that kept coming to me over and over was choppy. And even taking into consideration this was a shorter book, there still wasn't a lot of character development.

Many of the plot points seemed too surreal as well. Norah's boyfriend is a major league baseball pitcher who dumps her and marries someone else--then shows up later on...more

This was an extremely feel-good book about recovering from heartache and disappointment and opening yourself up to bigger and better things.

Norah Johnson is an extremely likeable character and I cannot imagine anyone not rooting for her to find her happiness. She was sweet and funny and I found her innocence to be extremely endearing. Sometimes innocent and naive come across as prudish and boring but Norah Johnson was neither of those things. There were aspects of the book I found to be predict...more

Norah feels like she's hit rock bottom after her major league baseball star boyfriend leaves her for another woman, a woman who's carrying his baby!! She puts her energy into starting anew and putting all her anger into her fashion designs but the only thing that seems to keep her happy is creating doggie couture for her love in the form of herdpg, but has she had a genius idea?

Lacy Camey has a great voice for chick-lit, I loved her writing style, what she wrote felt relevant and curren...more

Very glad this was a Free eBook as I really do not know why I even finished reading it. Totally NOT my kind of book. Brainless Valley girl type Main Character with Completely over used Story line and the writing wasn't that great either. Will pass on anything else from this Author.

It’s bad enough to go through a break up and dealing with the grief and pain of a broken heart let alone have it publicized on national TV and tabloids but, yet this was what Norah had to endure. Norah’s ex-boyfriend, Truett was a famous major league baseball player, think A-Rod, Derek Jeter and the breakup made her a target for the paparazzi.

After that horrid day,Norah’s life had completely fallen apart and she dealt with the break up in a self destructive way. She does nothing as her life and...more

I loved this book! Debut author Lacy Camey captivates her readers with THE LAST PAGE. Norah Johnson is the kind of character you immediate like because you can't help but cheer for her as she overcomes a recent heartbreak. Norah represents so many women who lose the love of their life, but have to figure out a way – or many ways - to go on.
Even through her despair, Norah is determined to finish her clothes line in time for its deadline. I appreciated her independence and drive underneath her vu...more

First off, Lacy Camey is a BRILLIANT, talented writer, and I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. Chapter One in "The Last Page" is basically a Prologue because it gives us some background on the main character, Norah Johnson. Norah is an aspiring fashion designer who has just been dumped by her boyfriend, Truett Mason; he is the Pitcher for the New York Yankees. After the break up, Norah moves into her family's vacation home over the summer, with her older sister, Maycee and eventua...more

The beginning was a little bit slow for me. Norah has her heart broken and although I completely understand that it can mess you up for a spell, I couldn’t help but be annoyed with her. Maybe the idea behind the book is the process of healing but I just didn’t sympathize with her.

I am glad I decided to keep with it because it turned around for me and I ended up enjoying the story. It’s a cute book that made me chuckle and aawww. I also love the tie in with the title, although you don’t really un...more

I can't believe I read the whole thing. This was a totally sappy romance! Bleh. But it was free and I had time to kill on an airplane. So if you love happy ending romances with way too many "coincidences" and heroines whose mood swings could rival the Japanese earhtquake seismograph, then this is the book for you. For me, I'm done.

This is the perfect story for every woman who has ever had her heart broken. At one time or another, we've all experienced this situation, in our own way, which made the pages fly quickly by as the premise was relatable. I will be purchasing this book for a friend who really needs to hear Lacy Candy's emowering story about surviving heartache and life after love.

This book wasn't terrible. I did enjoy it. I was able to predict the things that were going to happen while I read the book and that I didn't like too much. The book desperately needs to be edited. Would I recommend it? As a young adult book yes.

This book was fun to read. You should read this book. It's fun and entertaining AND a the author supports a South American orphanage. She's also raising money to start a new orphanage. It's less than $5 at Amazon right now (for Kindle).

This book a nice contemporary modern day romance novel. If you are looking for something without detailed love scenes, then this is a good choice. Cute story line and events which the reader can predict, but all in all a good selection.

I originally downloaded this book on my kindle just to see how my kindle worked, I had no intentions of actually reading the book. Before I knew it I was halfway done with the book. It was the first book I read that was set in present day so that made it interesting for me. It was also a quick read!
Leigh Mitchell
A nice enough story, got a bit wary that it was Christian Fiction in disguise a couple of times as there were a couple of references to God, but I just overlooked them.
Sara
It was a free book for my kindle--so, since I didn't pay for it, i liked it. It was cheezy and a little random, but cute and clean.
Maria
Cute story. I liked the plot line, and its very YA-friendly vibe. My only problem was that it wasn't very much well-written.
Brandi
Very cute and sweet quick summer read. I luaghed out loud time or two. Have to mention....NOT a deep book but worth it for an in between books book. :)
Kristie Conrad
cute read. Was a free amazon kindle download. Not sure I would pick it normally, but I did enjoy it.
Heidi Karriker
For the most part this was a cute stoy but i found it very predictable and often repetitive.
Becky
Not one for silly romances-but this was cute! Fast read and it is a clean romance:) Enjoy!
Suzie Quint
Not my cuppa. I didn't connect with the heroine and never felt any thing much for the hero. No sparks for me.
Kathy
This was a fun read...something light and and easy to get through on a holiday weekend.
Aimee
This was a quick read. Clean romance. Picked this up free on Amazon.
Tracy
I liked this book. It was a quick, easy, cute read.
Lori
