Lyla's on the run from her pack's omega. Since he's at the bottom of the totem pole in her pack, this should be simple, right? Tell that to her aching lungs and jiggling thighs. She's never been one to go with the flow. So when her alpha orders her to submit to mating with the omega she's not about to start now. Good thing she runs into (literally) a big hunk of man who ca ...more

I received this book by signing up for Celia Kyle's newsletter on her website.

OK, so the first thing I'll mention is the cover - this is supposed to be a BBW book but the woman/girl on the cover is anything but. Aside from that though I enjoyed this quick but steamy novella.

It starts with Lyla running and as she runs, you find out why (sort of). She runs smack into Michael who is able to protect her. To be honest, out of the books I got free for signing up for her newsletter, this is the one I l

Overall, this book seemed unfinished to me. The characters could have been fleshed out better with more detail and emotion, I did not feel connected with any them. The storyline was dull and felt as if I started reading in the middle of another story. This book worked more as a short erotica than a "romance" and the early set sex scenes were basic at best. I still feel as if the true furry audience may enjoy additional animal aspects, many of the characters feel 90% human, 10% animal.

Finally, a

As I said I like Celia Kyle. BUT if you are gonna have a BBW as a heroine. Your front cover should represent! There has to be stock fotos of BBW of all colors and sizes.. Don't wimp out on the cover. Yea I know some do judge a book by its cover. But if you are bold enough to write about women with curves. And I know several of your books have BBW. So let's see it.
Wusky( half husky half wolf) layla is being forced into a mating with the pack omega .. She, her wolf ,nor her dog wants anything t

I won a copy of Were What? by Celia Kyle. As a thank you I always try to post a review. This is the second of 3 books that I won. I enjoy Celia Kyle's writing style. Were What? was packed with humor and heat. This is a very short read for those with limited time for reading. This book is not a cliffhanger. I'm looking forward to the next Celia Kyle book.

For a short, this was pretty good. It had some elements I loved. I tp loved that she was the were and the one claiming a mate. I loved that she was not the teeny timpani super model type. I am not really sure why they have a skinny chick on the cover since the only female in the story is supposed to be big. I liked that it started with suspense. What I had a difficult time with was the ending. It felt like something important was missing. I also felt like some key details in the plot were missin ...more

I got this ebook as a gift for signing up to Celia Kyle's new release news letter. I thoroughly enjoyed it as a quick read and would recommend it for lovers of Paranormal Romance. It was Hot, Fast and Hard.

I was so looking forward to reading this author, and am so very disappointed in this particular book. Did not enjoy it at all, and it took all of 2 hours to read.

This was a short sexy read and I enjoyed it from start to finish! I really liked the characters and being short it was fast paced with a lot of action packed in!

Great book! Just wish it was longer. Cant wait to read more from this author.
This is a really quick read that is filled with smexy scenes but light on story. I enjoyed it, I just wished there were more of a plot to the whole thing. It will definitely get your engines revved. I was also not a huge fan of Lyla, she was far more insecure than I usually like. She did have a very confident moment in the shower though. Yummy quickie.

A nice short read.
Love that the heroine is plus Sized wusky even tho the cover is all wrong. The hero is human and he rescues her.
She decides to mate with him
It could of been a bit longer and more developed but a nice quick read.

A truly bad book. No storyline whatsoever, badly written porn, the heroine switches from self-loathing to "I'm soooooo great" within seconds.

Don't buy. Don't read. Not worth your time.
Really sexy, short read, i love Ms.Kyle's style of writing, that said, the ending was a bit abrupt, i kept thinking that i was missing a chapter or even an extra sentence!

Kinda basic shifter erotica with a chubby-ish heroine. Would have preferred a bit more angst and the end was kinda abrupt. (2.5)
