I am really enjoying this series as a whole, BUT... Angela hated Hollywood, so it is beyond me why the title is called "I Heart Hollywood."
What I liked:
- The blossoming romance between Alex and Angela. We are somewhat in the dark throughout the book about Alex's real feelings for Angela, but they are brought to light in the end. Which is what every girl dreams about!
- The fantasy of a hot, charming Hollywood movie star falling in "love" with you.

What I didn't like:
- I felt as if James...more

I thought I loved I Heart New York, but I’m pretty sure I loved this sequel even more! I Heart Hollywood was fast paced, equally, if not more hilarious and I couldn’t put this fabulous chick lit down.

This novel takes place in just over a week and it speeds along, including a twist I wasn’t expecting. It was laugh out loud funny and I couldn’t help but giggle frequently at Angela’s antics. She’s disheveled, a bit ditzy, and fully flawed, but completely lovable....more
I don't get why this book is called I Heart Hollywood when all Angela does is talk about how much better New York is and how much LA sucks.

Also, Angela's just too self-centered and selfish for me to care about at all. She might be a realistic portrayal of some women but certainly not one I want to read about, much less root for. She calls her boyfriend a jerk just because he won't spend every moment with her on the phone. Yet she's romping around, getting drunk, treating her friend like dirt, a...more

Book Review: I Heart Hollywood @ai-books

I heart Hollywood is the second of three books in Lindsey Kelks I Heart series. I was hooked to read on Angela’s adventure after the first book, I Heart New York. Well, I did read the fourth book first. I guess, that lead me to wanting to read the rest of the series.

I liked James Jacob and his assistant, Blake from the very first start. The conversation between Angela and James was funny most of the time. Although, I have to say that Angela’s characterizat...more
Its always something going on! Keeps it very interesting! Great read lots of action and fun I would recommend this book

Recommends it for: Fans of girly escapism and wish fulfillment.

Lighthearted, flirty and fun.
Kelk’s prose are so easy to read, I could enjoy this book whether I was reading it for two minutes or two hours. It was so easy to sink back into it’s pages and get lost in Angela’s whimsical adventures, and I love that about this series. Her portrayal of Hollywood is not quite as positive as New York and so I don’t really think I’ll be making a trip there anytime soon! Whether the portrayal is correct or...more
I enjoy reading chick-lit every once in a while and I had lots of fun reading I heart New York and I heart Vegas. I heart Hollywood just wasn't my cup of tea. It's possible that because I knew from I heart Vegas how the story with James would end I had less fun reading it.
But I also had several other problems with this one. I found the explanation why James wanted Angela as reporter extremly unconvincing. Knowing how the story would end I always expected another twist to this explanation but the...more
I HEART HOLLYWOOD, by Lindsey Kelk, is the continuation of Angela's new life in New York City as a magazine blogger. With her new rocker boyfriend, Alex, and BFF Jenny Lopez at her side, anything is possible for this English girl. Her dreams seem to come true when she is asked to interview the hottest celeb in Hollywood. Complications arise (as always it seems to around Angela) and hilarity ensues in this sequel to I Heart New York.

Angela Clark stole my heart again! Her ridiculous antics and utt...more
This book is a part of the series "I heart..." by Lindsey Kelk. I read the first book and I liked it. Way more than this one. It was more realistic and fun. It was fun to read about NYC, Angela's adventure and her struggling to find her way in this city. I think this sequel is bad. It was nice to read about her in the first book, but in this one no. There's this sentence in Caitlin's review which I totally agree with: "Angela's just too self-centered and selfish for me to care about at all. She...more
i previously read i heart new york and loved it!! so when i saw that there was a sequel out i couldn't wait to pick it up and read it. its amazing even if you haven't read i heart new york you get enough background knowledge of the characters. this is an easy read that will get you gripped you'l fall in love with the characters and with hollywood. A must to cheer up the autumn day.
Angela is asked to go to LA to interview some famous actor. Many things happen to her over there, Angela's adventures :)) !! You can imagine what i'm talking about !! :D :D :D

This book was really good.

I would have given it 5 biggg big stars if the end would have been written in a more interesting way :). I say this because the book has been really interesting all the time but the end has been kind of depressing somehow. This is no spoiler, since good and bad things happen all the time, we're ta...more

Proprio q...more

Angela is back and this time she must go to hollywood until one week to interview James Jacob a super hot british actor. But this is Angela and she is so naïve sometimes. In this book Angela is busy in Hollywood with a superstar and it’s going to turn out difficult for her, for her relation with Jenny and of course for her relation with Alex.
Jenny is with Angela at Hollywood but Alex isn’t.
I like the way the author develops Angela whether it is personally, professionally, friendly or lovingly....more

I really enjoyed it, I didn't read the first one (I Heart NY), I didn't know it was a series, I just picked this up in the library and go....:)

This book reminds me of Sophie Kinsella's "Can You Keep a Secret?" Angela has a very similar personality with Emma (from Can You Keep a Secret?) , bubbly, genuine, and fun. I rate this book 4 out of 5!! It was a good read, and the only reason I am not rating it a 5 is because of Alex's reaction..being such a j*** when he was in NY, no texts, no calls (wel...more

Suspension of disbelief is definitely required when reading this series! A hot musician, a wealthy business man, an A+++ actor? Plus being able to afford a Manhattan Apartment, her amazing wardrobe, much less a coffee in a bloggers salary? I don't care. I love her and she gives me hope that someone other than a size 0 might actually be able to accomplish amazing things in life.

Good chick-lit. Some surprising twists with a dash of "OMG" moments. Angela pulls you in and you can't help but root for her to succeed.

Fun and lighthearted, just like I Heart New York. I'm looking forward to seeing what Angela and Alex get up to in Paris next. And speaking of Alex, he's my leading book boyfriend at the moment.
It's a great summer read! Entertaining chick lit that can be read quickly. The whole series is entertaining and especially good in audiobook format.

I like Lindsey Kelk's books; they're light and fluffy chick-lit. However, they're in dire need of a proofreader. There are so many typos and mistakes (he "span me around". Really?) that it gets distracting.

I also want to know on what planet Angie is anything like a journalist. If Kelk thinks that's how journalists act, she'd be in for a surprise if she ever became one. Not even celebrity journalists can get away with what the main character does.

That said, I enjoyed it for what it was: mindless...more
I was really looking forward to read this book, but I must say I am rather disappointed.
After I Heart New York I immediately wanted to read this one and catch up on Angela and Alex. I just love the two of them and I wanted to see how their story went on.

Angela gets the chance to go to LA to do an interview with this hot British actor James Jacobs. She needs a little persuading, but then she is going together with Jenny.

In Hollywood everything is so different to New York and James Jabobs? Well...more
I Heart Hollywood is the second book in the I Heart series by Lindsey Kelk. Angela Clark is back and she's still living in the United States, writing for a hip magazine, and debating whether to move in with her sexy new boyfriend. Her latest work assignment is interviewing fellow Brit and actor James Hollywood. All is fun and glamorous until paparazzi snaps compromising photos of Angela and James Jacobs. The gossip spreads and threatens her job, reputation and relationship.

I didn't like this book nearly as much as I liked her first, I Heart New York. The characters were more annoying in this one and I'm growing tired of reading about Angela and her friends getting drunk and vomiting all the time, you'd think at thirty-something years old they'd know better. I thought the issue, or rather non-issue with Angela and Joe was dragged out too long. We as the readers already knew what the outcome was going to be, but the author for some reason just felt it necessary to d...more

This is the second book in the series and I can fully appreciate why this group of novels has been so successful and many congratulations to the author for continuing to proudly fly the chick-lit flag. It has all the right ingredients to make for an ongoing love affair with Lindsey Kelk's creation in her well-paced writing and snappy dialogue to form likable characters with enough drama and littered with enough fantasy type lifestyles to keep you interested for the long haul, whilst also being a...more
Angela Clark has barely been settled in New York for 6 months when her editor at The Look magazine tells her that she's being given a special assignment: she's off to La-La land to interview an actor hotter than Brad Pitt - James Jacobs. Angela duly takes up the challenge and sets off to LA with best friend Jenny, however when she gets there she finds that LA isn't as glamorous as she thought it would be and the only sane person there is James. Matters are made worse when Angela and James are sn...more

“I love you because you always have a T-shirt under your pillow for me, even if you don't know I'm coming to stay. I love you because you know I want sugar in my tea in the morning but not at night and because you always pretend you forgot I wanted a skinny hot chocolate in Starbucks because you know I really prefer full fat but don't like to order it in case the girl behind the counter thinks I'm fat.'
Alex started to smile. So I carried on.”
“Why do you love me, Angela?'
Arsehole. Turning my question back on myself. 'Why do I love you?'
'It's really easy to say I love you, it's another altogether to explain why,' he said.”
