The last thing Colin McDowell wants is to inherit his Aunt Geraldine's mansion in the San Juan islands off the coast of Washington. As the pack leader of the Trevelyans in Scotland, he had little time to travel halfway around the world to take care of his inheritance.

But the trip takes a pleasant turn when he meets Luna Reynaud, the young secretary his aunt hired shortly b...more

I only gave this one 2 stars because about 1/2 way through I started getting annoyed with Luna. There's innocent naivete and then there's 'Darwin Award' winningly stupid, Luna was edging closer and closer to the Darwin award end of the scale. While she wasn't too stupid to function, some of the things she said and did really bugged me; particularly because she was so smart in other parts of the story.
Colin was also slapable at a few points, being a stubborn ass-hat and all, mostly it annoyed me...more

Vicki Lewis Thompson has a wonderfully engaging style that swept me away as I read her nerd romance novels. The humor and romance has kept me reading the werewolf series as well, but I have to admit I wish she'd move on to something else. I don't think she will because she seemed to have set up a sequel, but I have to hope.

The problem is the same problem I've had ever since I started reading her werewolf stories. I don't believe the werewolves. That's a problem for a fantasy fan. The wolves aren...more

The last thing Colin Mcdowell wants to do is deal with his late aunt Geraldine's estate. She left everything to him, the castle that her husband had built for her, and the private island it sits on. Colin wants to put the estate up for sale and return home to Scotland and his family and pack. That is until he meets Luna Reynaud. Luna was Geraldine's friend and ran the household for her. Now with Geraldine gone, Luna and the rest of the staff may be out of a job, unless she can talk Colin into he...more

I have to say this was the best book in this series mainly because I found some sort of an equality between the h/H and despite the heroine being less experienced I really liked how she was so pragmatic about the status of their relationship.

The heroine is half-were who hasn't really belonged to any pack because until puberty she didn't even know she was Were so when she turned it scared her and she had no-one to ask questions from, her mother was dead and her father too. So, she always been car...more

Beautiful, virginal 27 year old Werewolf Luna Reynaud has never been a wolf pack sorta girl. Left without parents from the age of 8, Luna never knew she was a wolf until her 14Th year of age and her unexpected change. Her mother was human and never said anything about her wolf father, other than she loved him and lost him. So when Luna's life on a remote Washington Island working as a personal assistant for an ageing wolf takes a turn for her, it's time to embrace her wolfiness and take the next...more

I rated this one at 4.5. Taken from my review at RomanceJunkies.com

After receiving word of his Aunt Geraldine’s death, Colin MacDowell, Laird of Glenbarra, head of the most powerful werewolf clan in Scotland, flew to Seattle to carry out her last requests. Lately, he has been having problems with his brother who is intent on marrying a human. Colin has strong feelings when it comes to were-human mating and feels that it is reckless as he has told his younger brother, Duncan. In the past, werewol...more

I do love these werewolf books from this author. This is the third in the series. Each has "starred" a handsome, urbane, sexy, intelligent, and irresistible hero. The twist in this book over the first two is the heroine, a "half-breed", i.e. her mother was human and her father a were. Both parents are deceased and Luna, the heroine, is alone in the world. She didn't know she was a were until her first change, which scared her to death. She places herself separate from the world, until she takes...more

I get a kick out of this series. On the surface it is a light paranormal romance but underneath it all it is all about tolerance or intolerance as the case may be. In the first two books the Wallace brothers have found human mates much to the consternation of their peers. In Werewolf in Seattle Luna Reynaud is a half breed human-were. She hides this fact by not getting close to anybody until she goes to work for Colin McDowell’s Aunt Geraldine until she passes. When Colin (the pack leader of the...more

Story
The first two books deal with full male weres falling in love humans with the obstacle obviously the difference between them. This is the first where the heroine is already knowledgeable about the paranormal elements as she is half were, half human. I was quite pleased with the honesty of Luna's character. The author could have made Luna hide it for most of the book, making it the main conflict. Instead, Luna admitted it the truth in the beginning, surprising me, and taking the story in a d...more

Well when you throw in a good Irish accent and make the man a werewolf I think my heart thumps a little faster. I am a werewolf girl. I’ve come to realize and accept this and the third book in the series introduces us to two weres falling in love with each other, but Colin is a little bit prejudice and Luna has been hiding her entire life. So they make for a different couple. At first it didn’t seem that Colin was really into Luna, but of course his true colours show later on. And for a girl lik...more

Normally, this isn't my choice of reading material. That being said, I was ill and laying in bed, and was thoroughly entertained by this rather racy, to me, novel. It was a true love story of a half human/Werewolf (Were) and a full-blooded Were who had just inherited his Aunt's property, a lovely hidden island in Washington's famous San Juan Islands.

Although the romance scenes were explicit and sometimes a bit much for this old gal, I wasn't offended and they truly did answer questions (I hesita...more

A bit disappointed by this one. Until now I thoroughly enjoyed Thompson's Wild About You series which was both humorous and romantic.

This fell short for me, there was more focus on Luna's virgin status than on anything else. I felt that it really lacked any kind of conflict between the main characters, except for Colin's opinion on human-Were matings which he completely rethought as soon as Luna told him she was a half-breed. This happened in the first quarter of the books.

There was some good co...more

I enjoyed the story and the characters. I felt the sex was a little too pushed in this book. I enjoy reading Vicki Lewis Thompson because her books are romance, but also have pretty decent stories as well. Overall, very enjoyable and worth the time to read! I am very glad that Ms. Thompson did not continue with the human/werewolf pairing. We already know by this book that it isn't the ideal pairing and that the idea isn't going to change any time soon, so it was nice to have a were-were experien...more

I’ve really enjoyed reading Vicki Lewis Thompson’s paranormals, and she continues with her Wild About You series with a gentle and sensitive alpha werewolf who gets an attitude adjustment in his beliefs when he meets our heroine. Their romance is sweet but doomed. The wolf thinks he’ll be able to control his instincts, but he’s in for a huge surprise.

Colin is headed to his late great aunt’s island estate, thinking he’ll make quick arrangements to sell it all so he can return to Scotland to get b...more

Colin MacDowell, alpha of a powerful Scotland clan, loved his aunt Geraldine but isn't happy she left him her mansion and island off the coast of Washington in her will. Arriving at the island brings back fond memories from his youth and after meeting his aunt's beautiful assistant Luna, Colin starts to think inheriting the island isn't so bad after all. After years of being alone, half were-half human Luna Reynaud finally found a home with Geraldine. Not wanting to leave her safe haven...more

Review from http://backchattingbooks.wordpress.com

The Wild About You series breaks with tradition and features a half-breed heroine and pack leader rather than a human heroine and a werewolf but it still has the same cute and humorous vibe. Colin McDowell is a Scottish werewolf who inherits not only a mansion but an island from his Aunt Geraldine. Thinking it is too difficult to manage from afar given his responsibilities as pack alpha, he is determined to sell the place. Well, determined at lea...more

Luna Reynaud has a secret, she's only half-Were. She's kept this secret all her life afraid of being rejected by both worlds. She's even kept it secret from the Weres she works with on an estate in the San Juan Islands. Now her boss has passed away and the heir has arrived and Luna realizes that some secrets just aren't meant to be kept.

Colin MacDowell, head of the most powerful werewolf clan in Scotland, has just been left his aunt's estate and he isn't eager about it, until he meet Luna. She's...more

Werewolf in Seattle is a fun, flirty book that's guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Paranormal chick lit seems to be the underdog in preternatural fiction but I for one can't understand why. Sure, the story line isn't exactly overflowing with profound meaning but, lets be honest, who expects an epic plot out of a book like this? Not me. What attracts me the most about this series is the high hotness factor, the easy-going plot and its overall cuteness of it all. This...more

Bookswagger Marcia: Three Crowns. I enjoyed Werewolf in Seattle, it was a light funny read, a reminder that not all paranormal has to be dark and gritty. I found myself laughing out loud during certain scenes. You will be able to jump right in without following the series. The background characters help the story flow, they’re great for laughs and who doesn’t love a virgin who wants to get it in.

As Luna charmed everyone in this book, she charmed me as well. I am not sure that I can put my finger on it, but I found it really hard not to like her. She was so open and refreshing, not really caring what people thought of her, well except for her one little secret, her being a half breed wolf.

With her upbringing, Luna has let this one fact define her life and not in a good way. Being a half breed to her is tantamount to a swear word. After meeting Colin things start changing for her as he s...more

One of life's guilty pleasures and this author knows how to serve it up. A bit of romance, a bit of smut wrapped in a flaky plot-- and you have the book that you can't put down but you feel a bit silly reading! A pleasant run with the wolves! Who says blondes have more fun?? I think the weres do~!

another really cute book by this author, whom i've read since she starting writing her NERD series a while back. this series deals with werewolves instead of computer geeks, but they are still light, enjoyable reads without a lot of angst or drama. the perfect read for unwinding after a long, arduous day

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first or second book. There were several amusing moments because of Luna's weird sex questions, but I just didn't feel as good about this story as the last. I also didn't believe the mad-to-sad emotional response of the villain, George, in this story.

This was yet another great book in the series, though a little different than the first two. I don't want to give too much away about this novel, or series, but if you have a thing for werewolves, and like a good romance novel with some eroticism, then this a great series to check out.

OMG this was a fun ride! Loved this book so much that I have her other books from this series reserved at my local library! Read this in two days! Funny, heartbreaking, sexy, original fun! If you love romance and werewolves, read this!

I love VLT's Wild About You novels! This book was a great read. Lots of humor & a sexy Scottish werewolf. The secondary characters were so much fun...loved Dulcie, Sybil, Janet & Hector. I can't wait to read Duncan's story!

I seem to be reading this series in reverse. None-the-less , its been a fun reading and even taken out of order has not diminished the story lines.

I would expect to become jaded by this series, but there always seems to be a good story with a new twist. I read this in one night :)
