Ashley has spent the past four years in a juvenile detention facility for a crime she didn’t commit. What the professionals had diagnosed as epilepsy and delusions are actually the manifestations of her unique status: Ashley is at the mercy of an ancient power and as a result, she alone can see the grotesque, often frightening creatures that permeate our world. She’s learned the hard way to hide her knowing, convincing authorities that she’s under control. But Ashley is very aware that trying to ...more

Ashley has been in a juvenile detention facility for four years after being found with the body of her friend Ian, covered in blood and screaming. She was blamed for his death. However, she was not responsible – it was the khlathu, a creature only she can see, that killed Ian. Her time at the center was made more difficult by her gender dysmorphia – Ashley was born in a male body, and is too young, and too mentally unstable, to be able to take hormones or get surgery in order to correct her body ...more

Loved the story and how dark it was. Supernatural horror is right up in my favorite genres and this fit perfectly. The only reason that it did not get 5 stars was because the ending felt rushed. I would have loved to see the book go longer and really delve into the world more.

An original story that kept me entertained throughout. I loved every minute of it and hope there is a sequel.

I'm a lawyer, a gamer, a dreamer, an aspiring author, and a lowly fool.

I don't write in any specific genre, but like to experiment, blending elements of science fiction, dark fantasy, and mythology into something strange, unique, and beautiful.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy hiking, travel, adventurous eating, searching for new craft beers, and sampling exotic teas.

I write because I love to, and I h
