In a blues club on Beale Street, Sadie finds him on the stage and waits for him with a bottle of bourbon, ready to take him to hell. But ...more

Nothing says atmosphere like being able to hear a character’s accent in your head as you read, without it being implied in the narrative. This was exactly how this digital short read for me. Daddy’s little girl, Sadie, like all spoilt children always gets her way. Except that Daddy is the Devil so her games tend to be deadly. Sadie is a dangerous and curvaceous chameleon that stalks through time and place to collect her chosen prey, the talented musicians of the world. Performers that would sell their very soul to achieve the success they yearn for.

The first volume of Julia Madeleine’s short story series leaves you hungering for more. Her stringent compact writing doesn’t cause her to miss a beat in the creation of her fully developed characters and the tightly woven plot showcases her writing talents.

The Devil's Music is an intense new series featuring Sadie, the daughter of the devil himself, who has an insatiable appetite for music, and in particular, musicians. Sadie is a shape-shifter who travels the world to different time periods co
