I love short stories and flash fiction. This series did not disappoint me. There are 31 different stories in this collection - some that are a bit lighthearted, others that will make you think, and others that will make you shudder. Wrong number is one of the stories in this collection, and it made me laugh out loud. Seriously - if you are in the market for some quick stories that you can read on your lunch break, right before you go to bed, or just a way to make a boring phone conversation more...more
As a writer of flash fiction I was obviously interested to see what a collection would be like. I wasn't disappointed! What I love about flash fiction is that you can read it so quickly. Even if you've only got a couple of minutes, you can delve into this book and read about someone's life.
These tales are extremely varied. Whenever you start a new one, you never know what to expect. Some are funny, some adventurous, some read like science-fiction and some are sad.

I loved the idea of this - a flash fiction written every day for a month - and I wasn't disappointed. This collection contains a wide variety of subjects from setting achievements using toilet rolls as markers of time to the horror of finding your wishes have been granted. The stories are well-crafted, sometimes humorous, sometimes moving, but always accessible. Well worth reading!
Short stories? I can take them or leave them. This collection of 'flash fiction' - I loved it! All very different and as implied in the synopsis, varying in genre. Each story well written and a joy to read. I did read them all in one sitting, but the reader can dip in and out at random. Witty, different and the best book of short stories I have come across in a very long time.
