HOLY. FREAKING. MIND FUCK.
WHAT DID I JUST READ ? ? ?
That ENDING!!! I mean … just … ummm… *speechless*
I have lost sleep. My mind has been utterly toyed with. And I still have no freaking clue how I should feel about Tony Rawlings.
To the rest of the world, Anthony Rawlings is a mega-successful self-made billionaire who donated to charity, is always perfectly presented and never puts a foot wrong. To Claire Nicols, he is her captor. Her abductor. Her torment...more
Follow my rules: do as you are told, do not divulge personal information, actions have consequences, appearances are of vital importance, and public failure is not an option.
OK, so I know it’s a well-worn, much overused reviewer’s cliché but I’m going to have to say it – THIS BOOK OWNED ME! I really did abandon all my responsibilities, including sleeping, as this book consumed me from the very second I started right through to finishing it in the wee small hours when I had to be up at 6am for...more
The last 10 percent of this book deserved the 5 stars. It was just so shocking and crazy. While reading this book, all I wanted to do was throw my kindle at the wall because I was so freaking frustrated.
This book was so good!! It’s a dark, intense, twisted, emotional mind fuck kind of story. I thought I had the ending figured out and then BAM!!! something totally different happens.

Two words to describe this book?
Hmm... Let me think...
Oh, who am I kidding... Obviously, my response would be:

First of all, I feel the need to disclose that this is not a fun and fluffy book – entertaining, mysterious, scary and frustrating – yes, yes, yes and yes! NOT a story of goodness and light. Of-course, parts of the book are fun and sexy, but there is always a sinister u...more
I. JUST. WANT. TO. SCREAM.
Never in my entire life have a I read a book that left me feeling so ANGRY, CONFUSED, REPULSED, EMOTIONALLY DRAINED AND JUST.......JUST.....
Bravo Ms. Rothig! Bravo!
Let me just start by stating that Consequences by Aleatha Romig is no light and fluffy read. It is likely one of the most sinister books that I've read..... EVER. My mind is still reeling and trying to take in all that I've read. I'm still unsure whether to think whether Ms. Romig is a genius or a cruel and p...more

Who am I? I dont even know anymore. After reading Consequences I am not even sure of my own convictions. This was a very dark but captivating read that kept me up till 3 in the morning on a work week, something that NEVER happens! If that doesn't tell you how enthralled I was with this book then perhaps I need to explain myself in more detail.
The story begins when Claire Nichols is kidnapped by Anthony Rawlings, a handsome billionaire she met while bartending at the Red Wing...more

This was just such an unexpected ride. I am still suspended in utter twisted disbelief here! This has got to be one of the most riveting psychological thrillers I have ever read.
The angst and tension in this novel is a palpable omnipresence throughout! Addictive, disturbing and a mind-fuck of massive proportion. Frightening!
I am not going to go into the story as I just know I am not professional enough to not give anything away and the other girls on here have do...more

First off, I need to start this review with a warning. If you’re offended by swearing you may not want to continue reading. Normally, I try not to curse in a review, but this book warrants a big loud FUCK! Holy Fuck, What the Fuck and Fuckety fuck fuck fuck. Sorry, I had to get that out.
Secondly, I need to clarify my rating of this book. Yes, I gave the book 5 stars, but don’t mistake that for “like”. Did I “like” the story? Hells no! Why then, would I give this book a 5 star rating? Because it...more
First things first: Regardless of my star rating for this one, this book is pretty gosh-darn amazing and the second one kicks booty (js). I had the pleasure of reading both in a buddy read and it made the experience fabulous.
I highly recommend if you want to read this series, to join the Consequences Series Support Group here on GR, lol:
They host ongoing buddy reads and have other cool stuff to check out about these books. You'll be glad you did :)
This one is hard to rate because I did not love it, I actually hated much about what was going on in the story, but since I am still thinking about it and coming up with scenarios for the next two books in the series, I am going to give this book 4 stars.
The ending of this book is so worth the very long read. If you like to feel almost every imaginable emotion while reading a book and be truly affected by the read, then I would...more
I loved this book. Yes, that's right! I said it!
It made me feel stuff! All kinds of stuff. Claire was real to me. Tony, with his exceptionally void eyes reminded me of Heathcliff and his eyes, dark windows to the soul. Tony's black eyes made me shiver in fear whenever he was close to Claire.
Poor Claire. She suffered like all humanity, because h...more
1.5 stars. Yes, I'm giving this book an extra half star because the ending was a little bit of a head trip. But wow, did I have a hard time staying awake through the majority of the middle. Stuff started to draaaaag, big time.
Fairly spoiler-free review. I will mention the kidnapping and minor plot/character points, but I think most of this is a given, considering the book summary.
Before anyone throws popcorn at me, let me clarify that I did get the concept of the story. I understood the plot an...more

First 80% of book: 3 stars (it feels really slow and long-winded at certain parts in the book), last 20%: 5 stars (friggen brilliant!!)
I'm still at a loss for words about the end and just can not stop thinking about this book.
