Judging by its miniscule amount of reviews here on Goodreads, and a similarly tepid showing on Amazon, it seems safe to assume that Haniel Long's Pittsburgh Memoranda is something of a lost gem. But a gem it most certainly is: part history, part poetry, part narrative of a city--this book is staggering in its complexity and nuance, and I daresay necessary reading for anyone living in the Golden Triangle.
