Are you ready to venture into deeper waters with God?

We sit in our pews. We hear about the awesome power of God the Father. We marvel at the miracles of Jesus. Then off we go, never expecting those living waters of the Holy Spirit to flow through us in the here and now. That's exactly what this author did, until one day she was confronted with a stunning possibility: that

Hi, Sister Pam,

I've just discovered your question. Yes, I've been so grateful to hear that a number of groups, both small and large, have used this book in topical Bible studies on the contemporary role of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts, as Pastor Mechsner suggests it could be in his answer below. The book is peppered with Q&A and heavily referenced with appropriate Bible passages to read and discuss while building a scriptural foundation and increased understanding for this often marginalized subject. I hope you and your group will find it to be a meaningful and transformational study. (less)

I had the opportunity to read this book during a time when I was wanting to learn more about the Holy Spirit and His active involvement in our lives. This book is a great mix of being very informative from a highly biblical standpoint while also including a lot of interesting, everyday life stories of people who've experienced the Holy Spirit first hand. The author repeatedly takes you back to the scriptural basis for what she writes about. She is very well studied in the subject, and no doubt, ...more

This book really gave me a lot of insight on Holy Spirit. I have been baptized with holy spirit this was much needed because it help me to realize who holy spirit is. Thank you so much sis for making this an easy read and giving your personal testimony that gave encouragement. I can recommend this book for people who are at any stage in Christ rather a new believer or someone who has been in the faith for a while. This book is great for small groups especially with the biblical references

Eye opening

I like this book because it was easy to read and understand. It is to the point. It also gives you learning lessons to read within scripture that coincides with the authors teaching. I have never quite understood who the Holy Spirit is and now I do. What a wonderful discovery that has helped me on my relationship with God and my saviour Jesus Christ.

I would think it a shame had I gone through this life without reading this book. It spoke so directly to my heart. I saw myself in its' pages over and over. And yet it revealed things to me about God that I had seen, heard, tasted, and felt but just couldn't describe.

Very well written and truly one of my favorite ebooks.

Susan you have done a wonderful job of explaining the Holy Spirit that is in all of us since the creation of Adam and Eve.
The detail enclosed within this book in my opinion could only have been transferred to the author through a divine source, this detailed information should clear any doubt as to the validity of miracles witnessed or performed by the writer.
The more people that read this book the better.
The world should thirst for this kind of understanding to see and then develop the rel

A well balanced and biblical treatment of a subject rarely covered within the "mainstream" Church denominations. I appreciated Susan's biblical and prayerful approach, her emphasis on "good order" in the application of spiritual gifts, and the proper consultation of Church Elders within the Church community.

The most balanced and comprehensive explanations of spiritual gifts I've encountered. I wish I had this tool 30 years ago when I was first challenged to go beyond my long taught belief system that these gifts were done and past and now only of the devil and ask God to reveal the truth to me. So much of Susan's experiences mirrored mine.

In addition, her writing style is fluid and light but not overly simplistic. She is captivating and real and her heart for serving the Kingdom shines bright.

This is a comprehensive book for anyone who wants to learn about the gifts and workings of the Holy Spirit in what the author calls "everyday believers." Susan Rohrer contends that you do not have to be a preacher, teacher or evangelist to be used by the Holy Spirit. She also encourages ordinary Christians to step out in faith and ask for the Lord to equip you to do ministry.

I like that the author carefully defines each Spiritual gift--both what it is and what it is NOT. This helps people see th

Best book I have read to date on the Holy Spirit

I have grown to truly know and understand the person and mission of the Third person of the God Head and why Jesus said it was so important for him to come to teach us and lead us in our journey to become more like Christ. I am so happy that this sweet unpretentious wonderful layman in Christ was obedient to the calling of writing this wonderful book.

Speaking in the Spirit.

This book is wonderful, very informative on how to ask God one of the most difficult questions; How do I an everyday lowly Christian get gifts, promised by God, so that I may be a better Christian, an spread the God news?

Too boring if you aren't really a specialist in the subject, for sure. Extremely biblical and out of everyday context for me
