What’s a poor bear to do when all he wants is some sweet, bunny pie?

Bears and bunnies aren’t supposed to mix, or that’s what Chase keeps telling himself when his bouncy new neighbor won’t stay out of his business—and his mind. However, the more he gets to know his overly perky neighbor, the more he craves her—naked in his grasp—a desire worse than his addiction to honey a...more

I picked this one, because A) its a shifter story, and B) so many loved it here at GR. Unfortunately it was too uncomfortably close to Laurenston’s Beast Behaving Badly- one of my favorite stories. Not in plot- that was a bit too much like Lora Leigh’s Breeds- (government using baddie’s personal motives to kidnap shifters for experimentation so they can build a super army).

No, the heroine’s shifting ability was waaay to familiar- I might not have thought much of it except for it’s bizarreness....more

Eve Langlais did it again! I love this book! It had a great story to it! And a LOT of romance!

What I liked most about this one is she leaves it open for the possibility of another book to go with it - how cool would that be to continue with my favorite bear and bunny story :)

I love the nick-names they have for each other.

The book starts off with Chase (our Great big ol Grumpy Bear) trying to leave for work - the only problem is on his way down to the elevator, his path is blocked by the most p...more

Miranda moves next door to grumpy bear shifter Chase. She works for a shifter FBI'ish department and is sent to keep an eye on Chase. For some reason, she loves his grumpiness and he's finding it hard to stay away from her bouncing cheerfulness, although he's determined to only be with bear shifters to keep his line pure. That's what he thinks!

Very cute story. I could just imagine some of the scenes with Chase in his screaming bear shift breaking down doors. She's a bunny shifter with a little...more

Taking a closer look at the cover, my first thought was “wow that’s porn.” (yes, because the title was not enough), but then the fact that it looked like a fairy tale twist and some reviews on Goodreads argued it was a fun and light book, made me take a shot (even though I promised myself, no more erotic books!).

The beginning does sound like a porn movie, Miranda, a cute bunny, meets her neighbour, a gorgeous, yet grumpy bear, Chase (oh yes, a...more

Book One: Bunny and the Bear

So if you want to protect a large mean and annoying grizzly bear, a Lawyer at that, from an unknown threat...the best choice is to obviously do it without his knowledge because he would just want to control and mess everything up. Fortunately, every one know that all you need to get a grizzly bear to follow your lead is a his honey pot, or in this case, Miranda. Chase's new neighbor Miranda is sexy and he can't think about anything but her and what he want to do with...more

I have been waiting for a bunny shifter for a long time and Ms Langlais has delivered with Bunny and the Bear. I laughed and sniggered my way through this book and when it came to the end, well that’s when the laughter stopped.
To give you a better idea of the vein of this book, think Shelly Laurenston and her shifters – this book has a similar wicked sense of humour – hence the laughter and the sniggering throughout, but my one complaint is that I thought it was too short.
In Bunny and the Bear,...more

Every Eve Langlais' book I read makes me love her writing even more. It's fun. It's sexy. It's full of badass women who know who to kick butt and take names. Throw in a protective male who can appreciate the badassness... perfection!

Miranda is a hoot. She plays the ditzy blonde but she's got a lot more going on upstairs than she lets on. She works hard on getting under Chase's skin as part of her mission. And she succeeds. She's bouncy. He's grumpy. Together they tear up the sheets something fie...more

This is one of my absolute favorite authors - for obvious reasons, of course. If you have ever read any of Eve Langlais' works you will know that she has a witty/humorous way of writing her characters. There is always someone with a dry/dark/wicked sense of humor. The comedic timing is darn near perfect and the characters are so wonderfully developed and interesting that you can't help but fall in love with them.

I have to admit that I wish I saw more heroines like Miranda. She's fierce, humorous...more

If you are looking for something with the same quirky humor as Shelly Laurenston but want a few more sex scenes, try this story. I liked both Chase and Miranda. Chase is a grizzly bear who is also an estate lawyer. He is solitary and cranky. Miranda is a bunny shifter who works for FUC (Furry United Coalition). She is bubbly and friendly and rather dangerous. She is assigned to protect Chase, without his knowledge, from someone who seems to be targeting strong shifters. They are being abducted a...more

I was a very lucky reader and won a copy of this book.

This story has a little of everything; a hot bunny, a hot grizzly, a mysterious mad scientist and a cast of characters along with some laugh out loud scenes that for me made the story an adventure and sweet romance that blended perfectly.

We meet Miranda, a bunny shifter with a personality to match the typical bunny; bouncy, happy and optimistic. Miranda is an agent for the Furry United Coalition and her new assignment is protecting the grump...more

This was a fun shortie. I read it in a morning and it made my day brighter for having read it. I will tell you, I have a soft spot for shifter stories involving bears. Those prehensile lips...yeah...bears have a special place in my heart.

Anyways, this book was the story of a bouncy, perky, hot bunny shifter chick. (You'd think by that description you'd hate her) Miranda is a secret agent bunny shifter. She is getting close to her stuffy stubborn bear-shifter mark, Chase. To protect him.

There i...more

I really enjoyed Bunny and the Bear. This is a light hearted book with an overly bouncy, extremely peppy bunny shifter and an ornery, grumpy bear who is obsessed with pie. There are no hidden sexual innuendos in this book. The sexual innuendos are in your face blatant and highly entertaining!

Miranda is a happy, bubbly, chirpy, and constantly in motion bunny shifter. This is an extreme contrast to Chase the grumbly bear who is her current assignment. Miranda is an agent for FUC, Furry United Coa...more

Bear shifter Chase likes his life just the way it is. Calm and boring. That is until the day he gets an energetic and very hot new neighbor. As tempting as she is, Chase has no interest in getting involved with a female from another species but Miranda has no intentions of letting him keep her out. Miranda is an agent for the Furry United Coalition and has been sent to protect Chase from being abducted. She knows she should keep her relationship with Chase professional but she just love...more

The funny thing about this is that I bought this book for my best friend for Christmas because we were buying each other "bad" books. I read the synopsis...my jaw dropped...and I thought I found a winner (er, loser?). We agreed to exchange the book, write comments, and exchange back to read the bad book and the comments we had written for each other.

I went into reading this book expecting it to be awful. Entertaining, perhaps, but not something I would dare to LIKE.

Well...damn. Wouldn't you know...more

IDK what I actually just read...

"You know I've always wanted to boink on a bear rug." (225)I hate referring to sex as "boink".

"And then, he showed her just what a bear's lips could do." (227) I got a disgusting visual about that.

"Okay, you've totally lost me. I thought you'd be happy I left before we had the fight where you told me this wouldn't work. Because the inconsiderate me would have then said it could, and then you would...more

Overview
B&B… Are you grumpy in the mornings? Do you need coffee before you can think? Imagine Mr. Grumpy meeting Misses Hyper first thing in the morning and you have the beginning of our story. Miranda our friendly fun-loving bunny (or so it would seem) goes out of her way to insinuate herself into Chase’s life, our grumpy short-tempered bear. In the beginning it seems their biggest prob...more

I really liked this story. Miranda and Chase make such a great pair. You think they're impossible to fit together but yet they do...with a little work. ;)

Chase is a grumpy bear that doesn't like his sedate existence mussed up. He doesn't like excitement, prefers to sleep in and when he thinks about an eventual mate he plans to have a woman that wont interrupt his routine too much. He is from a pure line of bear shifters and has no intention of mating with any shifter that's not a bear. Also, the...more

3.9 stars....in other words almost, but not quite 4 stars.

Bunny and the Bear was really cute and entertaining. The humor was snarky (the way I like it), the sex scenes were plentiful, the main characters (we get both their points of view) were fun and the overall story was light and enjoyable... It was also short (the biggest negative), hence the pretty short review.

It's the first book in the series, and its probably better to read them in order, for no other reasdon then there are spoilers i...more

Delicate Freakn' Flower is what originally turned me on to Eve Langlais writing. Much like that book, Bunny and the Bear did not blow me away. The sex scenes were OK, and the "plot" that underlines the whole romance is pretty neon-sign-glaring obvious. But it's a ton of fun, with giggle worthy animal innuendos, and wackiness. We all need a little wack. Plus, I love funky animal shifters . . .

The romance really isn't a romance. It's immediate lust on sight and I never actually felt that the roman...more

Bunny and the Bear is very funny and sexy. I did like the story plot and I am looking forward to more stories to come. Most of the time I find I don’t like very perky heroines but in this story the bear’s grouchiness off sets it and of course makes it funny and interesting to read because you never know what’s going to happen next between them. Then there’s the fun sexual tension that’s added in this story. I just have to spoil one sorry because I am not stopping. One scene Miranda is...more

i dont even know what to say about these books.... I liked the story... but at the same time hated the fact that there were shifters of every species.... like bunnies and snakes... it just doesnt make sense to me... but it was a nice try... and i found the characters quiet annoying? had a very hard time getting into it that way but the ideas of a ware rabbit that had fangs i liked..? it honestly didnt make sense tho to be honest... she tried to make it like a big suprise that she was actually a...more

I don’t know if there are words for Bunny and the Bear. If I am being honest I spent a good portion of the book laughing really hard because the clever inner dialogue was so fantastic that I couldn’t get over it. Not only did Eve get grumpy bear shifter and hoppy bunny shifter spot on fantastic, she gave an edge of your seat story that kept me reading and wanting more. I couldn’t stop. I was so totally infested in this couple that every impulse has me wanting to continue the series at this very...more

Whats more fun then an opposites attract story with lots and lots of mind blowing sex? That's a rhetorical question no need for answers!

Chase when we first meet him is a grumpy ol' bear, set in his ways. Then in walks Miranda like an energizer bunny to shake up his world. Chase fights is attraction to her but his thoughts always betray his lust. Miranda not being an ordinary woodland creature but actually a bad ass fighter with a few secret tricks up her sleeve fights hers too, since the only re...more

Warning: Pies were harmed in the making of this story and naughty references made about honey that might offend some readers.

Well I for one was not deterred from that warning.....

Miranda is a very energetic and happy bunny. She works for the FUC....no kidding...Furry United Coalition. Basically she's a secret agent in the shifter community. She's been assigned to protect her onery bear shifter neighbor Chase. There's been a lot of dissapearances among the shifter community and Alpha's are being...more

This author's not going to win any awards but she does a great job of inviting the reader to laugh with her at her very tongue-in-cheek erotic romances. I especially like some of her menage titles (which I haven't read): Delicate Freakn' Flower and Already Freakn' Mated. In Bunny And The Bear Miranda, a sabre tooth bunny shifter, works for the Furry United Coalition (FUC) to keep the shifter community safe.

Fun. Fun. Fun.

Dear Ms. Langlais,
YOU ROCK! Please, please write more in this universe.
Sincerely,
New Fangirl.

Miranda, bad-ass bunny spy, is secretly guarding Chase, the grumpy ol' bear who just happens to firmly believe that woodland creatures should stick with their own and not mess with big bad predators.

Oh. There are sooo many things that could have gone wrong with this story. Overly perky heroine. Stick in the mud hero. Evil mad scientists (is there any other kind?). Were Crocs (and giraffes?!...more

OMFG! Such a campy, silly, sexy romp! Miranda is a bunny shifter (awe how cute) and terribly annoying. The bouncing blonde that you just want to bitch slap. She's also evidently a hellacious sabertoothed werebunny that works for FUC (the Furry United Coalition, yeah, appropriate acronym for an erotica, eh) and is in charge of keeping a grumpy bear shifter safe from being abducted.

This was probably one of the best of these type books that I've read because it actually had a plot other than pound...more

Read the excerpt to this book...reluctantly. Shifters, bears and/or bunnies, aren't a big thing for me. I read one excerpt, then had to go find a longer one (getting sucked in), then bought the book. Read it in one sitting. Loved it! I love the author's humor, which she weaves in and out of the story perfectly. The characters were great, the passionate build-up was amazing, and the sex was hot, hot, hot!

I've read a few other shifter stories from Ms. Langlais, of the werewolf persuasion, and enjo...more
