Bonus star for be in surprisingly authentic. Characters seem spot on and the artist was awesome, sort of a budget blend of Kirby and Buscema. If you told me it was kirby, I'd probably believe you. The writer isn't much worse than lee, although the prose isn't as fun. Story was trite and predictable obviously written for children. (Kids can enjoy more intricate plotting than this I'm sure).
Read this when I was a kid and recently made it a quick bedtime read. I believe I read one other Big Little Book - (Batman: The Cheetah Caper in which Batman and Robin battle The Cheetah, not Wonder Woman's female foe but a male super-speedster who gets his powers from eating peanut butter, because it's pure pure protein, natch!) - and looking at these as an adult, it's a pretty savvy design to ease kids into reading longer texts.
