3.5 stars.
Mermaids, sun, sea, and a helping of sweet romance – the perfect formula to a light-hearted trip into the fantasy world. Tera Lynn Childs presents the second book in her well known Fins series, Fins Are Forever, as a novel that is just as cute, just as fun, and just as pleasing as the first instalment. With its easy to follow plot and bittersweet summer tone, Fins Are Forever is a fitting novel to sit back with on a lazy day for a quick but enjoyable read.

Not a bad 2nd book. It was cute in all the ways the first one was cute. The main character wasn't totally annoying, she was a typical teen with a little bit of extra resposibility. Sort of.
BUT
I do believe I am a little tired of reading about teens (girls) falling in love and declaring they have found their 'soulmate' before they have even begun to live life. High school is not real life. I know some kids have to grow up and have adult responsibilities before their time, More...

Read the review at iLive, iLaugh, iLove Books.
Once again Tera Lynn Childs has spun a flippin' fantastic story with her hilarious writing. This sequel to Forgive My Fins is a little more dramatic than the previous, with more romances and a lot more pressure on Lily to make the right decision. Her life seems to be falling apart as she struggles to keep her cousin out of trouble while studying for her SATs, which will probably determine her future on Earth.

Fins Are Forever, by Tera Lynn Childs, picks up where Forgive My Fins left off.
Lily and Quince are in love, but are no longer bonded. This means that Quince doesn’t have the ability to “aquarespire,” meaning that he can’t even go home with Lily for a weekend visit. And with her eighteenth birthday quickly approaching, an unbonded Lily must give up her rights to the throne. But choosing a land life with Quince is her best option, (she loves him), so she’s willing to make the sacrifice.

Fins Are Forever by Tera Lynn Childs was probably my favourite book by far this summer. The characters have grown a lot since we last saw them in Forgive My Fins. They each have their own personality, but some are lacking--from sassy to witty to bratty and so on. The book really grabbed my attention from the cover--it was so colourful and I'm a pretty big fan of The Little Mermaid, so I figured that I'd love another mermaid story.

Fins Are Forever by Tera Lynn Childs is the sequel to Forgive My Fins. The series stars Lily a Mermaid living in the human world. In the last book Lilly got together with her boyfriend Quince and decided that she was going to give up her spot as princess to live in the human world. Things are made more complicated when her cousin comes to stay with her having been exiled from her underwater kingdom and Lilly has to teach her to appreciate humanity.

My favorite book of last summer was, oddly enough, Forgive My Fins which is a strange thing for me because I've almost always been a contemp girl, but this paranormal read took me by surprise. The general premise didn't bring anything new to the mix: Lily Sanderson was your basic average teenager (except for some pretty rockin' mermaid lingo and she was the princess of her own underwater kingdom which you know, added some awesome-ness to the plot :), Brody was your average good-looking, athletic

My thoughts...Fins are forever is a fun continuation of the first book, Forgive My Fins.
Remember Doe from the first book? She is the evil cousin who despises all humans. Well, she's back and commands attention in Fins Are Forever. She was exiled and now it is Lily's responsibility to help her see the error of her ways. On top of that, Lilly has to deal with the fact that she will be forever relinquishing her title of Princess to be with her true love.

My thoughts:
My first thought upon finishing this book: Ahhhhhhhh.
I love happy endings, and I especially love books that leave no loose ends.

Sequel to Forgive My Fins. Lily’s 18th birthday is approaching and on that day she will renounce her title as princess of Thalassinia. She will become just plain old girl-next-store Lily, girlfriend of Quince. Lily has never thought about going to college until now because she didn’t need it to rule her kingdom. She wants a career that she can still help her kingdom from above with. And SAT are coming up. As Lily would say, Damselfish! Her cousin Doe shows up on her door step and says she’s bee

I was really looking forward to reading this book. I really enjoyed the first Fins book and couldn't wait to read more of Lily and Quince's story.

Dosinia exiled and sent to live with lily who has been tasked with the job of looking after Dosinia and is also part of her 'duty to her kingdom'. Not happy with the situation but unable to do anything about it Lily reluctantly takes responsibility for Dosinia.

Fins are Forever is a fun read. If your in the mood for something light and refreshing add this one to your summer reading.
Being royalty shouldn't be a pain in the caudal fin. Lily Sanderson's life should be perfect. She is a princess after all. Unfortunately Lily has a lot of figuring out to do. Her whole life has been dedicated to her future, and her duty to be the best queen possible. Lil is torn between her life, love, and family ashore, and her duty, and kingdom at sea. Life as More...

What little girl didn't want to be a mermaid at one point in her life? (Or possibly still want it at age 26!?) That was my first thought when I got my hands on Tera Lynn Childs' first mermaid book, Forgive My Fins. And it definitely left me wanting more. So I was very excited to break open the sequel, Fins are Forever.
In Fins are Forever, Lily Sanderson is living a happy, terraped life on land, relishing in her new-found love for the hunky Quince Fletcher. Of course, there's the minor irri More...

Really good sequel. We get to see Lily make a final decision about whether or not to remain Thalassinia's princess and deal with her annoying cousin Dosinia. After getting herself exiled, Dosinia has to live on land and Lily's final duty as princess is to get Doe to get over her hatred of humans. This does end up working out in the most unexpected of ways. Then, it's revealed there was another reason why Dosinia got herself exiled. That, too, ends up working out in an unexpected way.

I enjoyed this book as much as Forgive My Fins. I found the second book in a trilogy isn't as strong but this one is good. Lily, mermaid princess, will become a "normal" girl on her birthday. With her human boyfriend, Quince, by her side, she can do anything, even pass the ACTs.
But when an angry cousin and a childhood boy friend surface in Lily's town, she must choose who she is and where she belongs.
Still love the "mermaid" slang words! Ms. Childs doe More...

I really adore this series. Tera's writing makes her books fun, inviting and leaves me wanting more. I really like the series's mermaid mythology and Tera's unique spin with it. I liked how her characters are able to be apart of both the undersea world and the human world. Like many sequels, Fins Are Forever has it's fair share of twists and tough choices that the main character, Lily has to make.

Fins Are Forever starts one week after the end of the first book, Forgive My Fins. I like how the story line picks up from there and keeps moving. I loved the romantic dilemma/ arguing that took place during the first book. It's refreshing when the love interest couple hate each other in the beginning. This book didn't have as much of that. I still was interested with the problems and decisions Lily had to face, and I wanted to see how it all would turn out for her and Quince.

I really don't want to read this!
After- I did it. It was hard but I did it. It really seamed like they were overeacting about.... everything. Too dramatic.
