I can highly recommend this book. It reminded me a bit of Paulo Coelho's books and it had the same effect on me. It kept me thinking about the story for a long time after I finished reading the book. It is beautifully written and very visual, I felt like watching Carlos from the side with every step he took on his path to wisdom.

This is a beautiful tale, and is very well written. Although it took me a while to get into the story of this book (not my usual) when I did I found myself immersed.
Carlos has a very simple life, but has always been struggling for answers. He learns a lot from the Elders, but when his father dies he finds himself taking a journey which leads him to follow the road to Damascus.
