Ready, Set, 100th day is a wonderfully created picture book that can be used to celebrate the ever popular 100th day of school. Teacher's Choice

Counting Book

This book appealed to me because of it's unique approach to counting and the fact that it is a Teacher's Choice book. In this book Minna wants to create a unique project for the 100th day of school. With the help of her family, Minna comes up with different ways to count to the number 100 using popsicle sticks, stickers, paper clips, pasta, etc. Minna counts by 5's, 10's, 20's, 25's & 50's. Her creative coun

Paper cutouts and a sweet story of Minna needing a collection of 100 things for the 100th day of school makes this book perfect for 1st or 2nd grade. This book uses story and arrays to teach the concept of 100, either counting by 5's, 10's, 20's, 25's, 50's. Minna's picture uses 10 sets of ten for children to identify.

This book is a great book to talk about the 100th day of school. I would use this book as an introduction to the days activities. I would also use this book to talk about counting and math. I would also talk about the different sets that are seen throughout the book.

This story would be good to teach children about counting and math. I know a lot of teachers do activities for the 100th day of school and I could see this book being used for that.
