I finished this late last night and it's been a little over 14 hours since I put it down and I am not sure I still know what to write about it but let's give it a go. I'll just start typing and telling you about the story and see where that takes me…

We will start with Mercy; she is a 16 year old high school student who is half a succubus. She discovered this during her first kiss when she almost killed her now best friend Paul. Mercy is a smart girl and one of the fun things in the s More...

So I read this a while back and I don’t normal write reviews for book I read for pleasure. But here I am. I generally don’t give spoilers. But oh well. I guess since I really liked this book, I want to spread the word.

Mercy is a half human and half succubus. Being part lust demon isn’t easy on her as some might think. Her first kiss turns into disaster when she nearly kills the guy. That’s when her mother finally dropped the bomb as to what she was. And what was the mother’s a More...

One of my favorite books so far this year - amazing!

The story is about a girl, Mercy, who is learning to live life as a Succubus. This proves to be very challenging since her mother won't teach her a thing. The only thing she knows for sure is that if she kisses someone, they could die - her best friend Paul had a personal experience with this. I have to say that I've only ever read about Succubui & Incubui from the Beautiful Creatures Series but even through them I didn't learn a l More...

First thing I can say is wow!

This book was very different. It didn't follow the normal grooves and lines as most YA novels and that is the #1 thing I love about it. It starts off, you understand Mercy and feel sorry for her. she's a little impulsive and immature as most teenage girls are. There were many times in the novel that I wanted to be in the room with her so I could be all motherly and say "Uh, you know this is going to end badly, right?" :) but I loved how the author More...

This was a wonderful book and I can´t wait to get my hands on the sequel to bad I have to wait until beginning of next year. The only negative thing I have to say about this book is that I think the spelling was off a bit at times. English isn´t my first language so maybe I should keep my mouth shut because I guess I could be wrong but I do think someone needs to take a second look at the book when it comes to the spelling.

So lets move on shall we?
I loved the story line and the se More...

I recieved this book via Read it & Reap.
Im not really sure where to start so Im just going to type. I enjoyed this story. Mercy is half succubus and discovered this the hard way by almost killing her best friend Paul with her first kiss. She is told she can not have a relationship because she would in turn kill her partner.
In the begining of the book I was almost turned off to it. It was information overload. We learn about the "elite" group of kids at school.. More...

This wasn’t one of the best paranormal romance novels I’ve read but it was still pretty decent. The main character’s name is Mercy and it turns out not everyone around her including herself is as human as she thinks. There’s definitely a lot of romance for those of you who like triangle love stories, although it came to be a little bit too much for me.
This novel grabbed my attention in the first five pages. It is definitely a page-turner and although there were some things I didn’t like More...

What a great story!! I wasn't sure what to expect with a YA/high school setting...not always my favorite. But after just the first chapter, I was drawn in to the events unfolding. Often love triangles (or more) are frustrating but all of the boys were so likable, and Mercy being so unsure of what she was, made it believable that she would have trouble choosing the right one. I loved that there were unknowns and secrets all through the story. Some I was able to figure out, others were supris More...

When I first picked up this book, I thought it was a typical teenage romance/paranormal novel and almost didn't pick it up. But I was wrong.I find most paranormal books these days quite the same, with the same plot about a nice normal girl falling for the dangerous new guy leaving the other guy (usually her best friend) with a broken heart. This book is different with a big twist. There isn't a "tortured triangle" aspect, THANK GOD!, in fact its a lot more complicated than that which m More...

So good. As long as someone edits this book, it will be amazing.

Out of all the boys that are after Mercy I had a hard time choosing. At first I liked Luke, but towards the end I think I love Flynn! She should be with him. There isn't anything wrong with taming the bad boy. Plus it's not his fault he has to use girls to survive.

Team Flynn:)

If not him, then I guess Sebastian is another great candidate.
Paul is just out of the question...good guy, but he More...

This book was great. I liked how it was unpredictable and there were not 2 guys but 4 guys trying to win Mercy's heart for their own reasons. This book for me was excellent with all the paranormal and demon stuff but the romance love pentagon was confusing at times/ I'm not a big fan of love triangles and such but it needed one to weave in with the plot and I found it really intruging.

I'm torn giving it 4 stars or 5 stars because I enjoyed it but I have read better books. The ending More...

This book is an excellent read! (Though I didn't really like the cover, the people on it felt kinda old? They don't look YA age). The story line, characters, plot.. everything is written out very well. I really enjoy the writing style of the author, it is something I sometimes miss in new books. She clearly has her own unique style and it is very pleasing to read. English isn't my first language so I can't really say anything about spelling and grammar and stuff.
So, I loved our main girl! More...

I was so excited to be given Beg For Mercy to review as part of Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy Fanatics! Read to Review..... The book description sounded just like my type of book. A bit of romance with a bit of paranormal thrown in for good measure!! And there was something so enticing about the cover that I loved!!

Beg For Mercy is the story of Mercy Moore. She is a teenager and a succubus, so this results in a whole lot of raging hormones! Mercy also has an abundance of intere More...

I would really give it 4.5 stars, but I round it not just because of the fact I don't have that option here on GR, but because I am really giving credit to the author for really entertaining me with her story.
Mercy is a teenager, but she doesn't have the problems most teenagers have. Sure, she is "obsessed" with boys, but that's pretty much normal at her age. The "only" problem there is she's not allowed to kiss one, because she is a succubus.

"I wish I More...

This was my first succubus story, and a pretty decent one to start with. The story starts with a little bit of information overload. All of the important people are at a party, playing spin the bottle. (Mild spoiler alert, but this is all laid out in the first couple chapters so I think you can handle the rest of this paragraph). Mercy is afraid to play since a kiss from her can suck the life out of someone. We are then told the story of Mercy's first kiss. Basically More...

This book was awesome! I loved every minute of it. It's a great young adult paranormal romance. The character development was smooth and the plot was exciting and intense. Although, there was a little bit too much damsel in distress going on with the main character sometimes, but I loved Mercy all the same. What a great way to complicate the usual teenage anst about growing up and dating by making her a succubus. I would definitely recommend this book to my niece. Also when is the next one relea More...

I have mixed feelings about this book. I normally dislike any book that has love triangles or quads, quints... but given her type of supernatural species I can somewhat overlook that part. I really liked the story and most of the characters. Mercy's mother got on my nerves and some of the situations just aggravated me. Mercy for the most part was a good lead except she let a lot of things slide, not confronting people with questions that she really needed answers for. Of all the boys, I was lean More...

This book is a fabulous read! I am very drawn to each of the characters and I could not stop reading it! I can't wait to see where the story goes next. First I have to say that I rarely give 5 stars.

Beg for Mercy is a great book. It is about a girl (Mercy) who finds out she is half human and half succubus. Her mom tells her that she has to stay away from boys. Mercy being the good girl she is does that until she goes to a party with her friend. Mercy meets someone and she tries hard to stay away from him but he's so sweet and keeps telling her he will wait. They start dating which for some reason her mom does not like (you'll find out More...

This book was a big surprise to me. In some novels, when you get a glimpse on the synopsis, it gives away the story. Not this book though. Since the beginning of the first chapter, there are already mist of secrets and mysteries. Like what is Mercy? Who is human, who is not? I like the setting of the story that, there were teen school drama and romantic issues. Then as the story progressed, more secrets are laid out, like was Luke really what he appears to be? Or what was Mercy's mom keeping fro More...

Two Princes….

Anyone who has read Beg for Mercy will understand why I was replaying a famous song from the Spin Doctor’s in my head over and over. “One two princes kneel before you. Princes, princes who adore you. You marry him your father will condone you. You marry me, your father will disown you.” Now, normally I absolutely loathe love triangles (or in this case I think it would be a love quadrilateral). However, since the heroine is a neophyte succubus just learning to control her More...

I was really intrigued by this book from cover to cover.

I was curious about this book but wasn’t sure exactly what the book was about from reading the summer. I thought it was more of a chick-lit type of book with a paranormal twist. Boy was I wrong. The summary doesn’t even begin to cover what the book is about and in fact, only describes the first couple of chapters.

I’m not sure how much I want to explain because I don’t want to spoil the reading process for anyone. I t More...

I received this book as a read to review and I was glad I did. Mercy's story is very unique being that she's a 16/17 year old succubus. I think that she handles this fact very well in the beginning but once she's given a taste of freedom ( found in the form of magical lip balm) her life and person completely change. IMO the change was needed but I wished she would have pushed her mother for more about her true nature. I'm still a little confused with the mom situation, I felt like there's def. m More...

I received a copy of this book through read2review. Thank you to Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy Fanatics Group and to Shannon Dermott for giving me this opportunity.

It's a bit difficult for me to decide how to review this book. At the end of the day, I am rating this 4 out of 5 stars because I enjoyed reading it quite a bit. The premise is unique and I liked Mercy as a character. The middle lagged a little, but the beginning and the end made up for that.

I actually liked this book rather more than I expected after the first few somewhat dull chapters. (There's only so much spin-the-bottle drama I can handle.) I found the story quite enjoyable, though I do wish it had focused more on the murders and less on every boy throwing himself at Mercy's feet. I thought Mercy and Luke's relationship was sweet, and the suspense at the end was very good.

Even though I found the actual throwing-of-selves-at-feet reasonably believable - Mercy is a suc More...

There must be something in the air these days about books who give us slight cliffhangers for a sequel yet the novel could just be left as a stand-alone as well.

I did quite enjoy this book, however, predictability was a problem. I could guess half of what was going to happen from the very start of the book. There is an exception though, for at the end <spoiler>when she puts her father in hell</spoiler> but other than that it was very predictable.

From the first More...
