Enjoyed the aerobic training section and plan on using it, but don't believe in everything else he had to say.

Lot of good stuff here, the author makes a case for low intensity aerobic exercise, good nutrition, and seeking the advice of an alternative health care practitioner. While my education is practically devoid of life-science courses, I found little in this book to raise red flags. The costs to evaluate this book for yourself are quite low, therefore, highly recommended!

A large read, The Big Book on Health and Fitness is a great primer on all things pertaining to personal well being. The section on nutrition was the largest section of the book and the most helpful.
Alex Strick van Linschoten
Read it just for the chapters on the "Maffetone method" of heart-rate training. They were useful, but the rest of the book is a bit preachy.
