Melanie/Gertrude and Colt. This was an odd story premise. Kinda off-putting really. But if you set that aside, it was an enjoyable and romantic story.
Gertrude has loved Colt since they were kids but he got another pregnant and married her. It was a bad marriage and ended very badly with his daughter dying as well. She however, moved to California had a terrible car accident that required plastic surgery. Now she is back with a new name, a new face and a new confidence. She's not the little girl

This is a really sweet story of heartbreak and love. Colt wanting to start a family after losing estranged wife and daughter in a gang shoot out. Melanie finds out and offers to surrogate for him, hoping hell fall madly in love with. I really like the story but no so much the lying about who Melanie was and how she truly knew Colt. Great HEA and soppy romance.
