From the foreword of Heartstone:

"Life can often present us with circumstances we never anticipated. The unfortunate truth is that we all have to navigate these difficult seasons with little understanding, not much experience, and a willingness to learn more about ourselves than we wanted to know. Tim Young has given us a transparent view, through Heartstone, outlining many of these moments in his own life, with the hope that his chronicled journey will enlighten our own. This book is more than a

This book was so wonderfully written. Its about a person who faces odds that most people do in our life's, including getting to involved in to our daily life's and we do not stop and think why we are there and how. This is such a heart warming book that meshed so well with my life right now. It has taught me never to forget that no matter how down on you luck or how high on your luck God is always there with us guiding us and watching over us. I am so touched and thankful for finding this book. ...more

This book highlights the extraordinary walk the author has had in understanding and communicating with his Maker. The author is talented in more ways than simply writing; He also demonstrates on his poem writing abilities and encourages the reader with devotional quotes from the bible. All three writing styles express the writers trials, pain, hope and achievements. This book is both inspiring and touching.

I won this book on Goodreads.

How can I explain this story? I thought it was a biography of a mans life and search for God amidst the turbulence... And it was. However, it was also more than that. It was an insight into one mans journey of discovery about finding a personal loving relationship with his heavenly Father. This book is raw and truthful. So much so that you can feel the hurt emanating from Tom's heart.

I can relate to this experience and appreciate the time taken to put down in words the lessons learned along the way. His insights added depth to what I took away from a similar experience. Thank you, Tim Young!!!

My review from Amazon:

I finished this book about a year ago but never wrote a review on Amazon until now. I still think about some of the nuggets I got when I read this book, which is just a great testimony to the lasting impact its content has had on me

When Google+ first launched, many of us added each other with similar interests and discovered new tastes, books, websites, and so on. At some point, Tim announced the Kindle version of his book was free on Amazon for a day, so I grabbed it.

im Young's book Heartstone takes us through his journey of personal failure, devastation and recovery on a road back to God after having nearly lost everything because of the lifestyle and choices he made.

In the foreward of this book Rick and Debra Evans use the term transparent when referring to Tim's style and I cannot think of a better word myself. Tim shares from the deepest places in his heart scripture, journal entries, quotes, and stories that teach the value of embracing our own brokenne
