Cindy Procter-King did it again! I loved Where she belongs, and although I knew nobody would ever be able to compare to Adam Wright, I really loved her writing style so much that I was pretty sure I would like this book too.
I wasn't disappointed in the least. I read it from the first to the last page without interruptions, I couldn't put it down.

*I received a free ARC of Head over Heels from Amber Quill Press via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review*

A little too much suspension of disbelief in this one, there was not much at all that was believable.

This and other reviews can also be found on my blog (un)Conventional Bookviews, and were originally posted there.

Head over Heels is a contemporary romance, featuring Magee (whose name we’re told how to pronounce several times…) and Justin. The story starts with Justin’s girlfriend Tina...more

I liked the story and the chemistry was great and all, but some parts of their story didn't fit. Had Justin really told these possible business partners that he's never even met before so much about Tina that Magee would have to adopt her personality. I also don't see why she really had to pretend to be Tina. If he wanted to seem like he had his life (both professional and personal) in order, he could have said he broke up with her and he would still seem in control. Plus, that cheat sheet could...more

Justin Kane is in a bind, he has a big client that he is supposed to be taking on a weekend tour of major biking trails with his girlfriend Tina but Tina just dumped him the ever morning before the Client is coming into town. He’s desperate to find a replacement for Tina and who better to ask then someone who will also benefit from the Client being happy then the very same Ad agency consultant. Enter Magee Sinclair. Having been totally faithful to Tina while they were dating Justin isn’t sure wh...more

Funny and cute. It makes you laugh to know what they will do to make a deal. I still couldn't figure out how he didn't know she wasn't an advanced cyclist. I am sore after a little riding and then to go on the mountain? I also like how he handles the other girlfriend. Scenes are hot!

Magee Sinclair works for the family advertising agency and is set to take over the helm once her father retires. Recently though, she just cannot get anything right. Desperate to prove she is not a screw up she is relieved when she lands a contract, a contract she believes will save her career. There is only one problem though, when she met with Justin Kane, the owner of a bike shop. Justin hopes to expand his bike shop and Magee promised him she was the right person for the job. But she had to...more

Cindy Procter-King does a great job of sucking the reader right into this story from the beginning! HEAD OVER HEELS is a sweet, funny love story that makes you smile from ear to ear!

The writing wasn't too bad, but the whole story is based on a false pretense that just doesn't make any sense. The main character is pretending to be Tina, Jason's girlfriend who just dumped him. I can understand that she may need to take on Tina's name in order to fool Jason's clients, but having never met them before, why does she have to pretend to have all of Tina's characteristics (details of her life, job title, number of siblings, etc). It just didn't make any sense. She could have stayed...more

A cute, regular, happy ending, warm and fuzzy feeling romance story : )

Magee works for her father's advertising agency. She is working to prove herself. Along comes Justin and his Cyclemania stores. She is hoping to obtain his account since he is looking to close a big deal and expand the numbers of stores. Nate and Kate Willoughby are coming from England to discuss the deal and want to spend a few days getting to know Justin and his girlfriend Tina but Tina has walked on him. What is Justin to do? The Willoughby's come from a family oriented background? How is Jus...more

This was a really short read that at times I felt was cute and other times I felt that it was completely clichéd and not relatable. I wasn’t really sure if I liked Magee at all when the book first started; her or Justin really. They both seemed really superficial and blind to everything around them other than the job in front of them. Separate they were both kind of lame. Together, though, they were pretty magical. They had great chemistry and I wish that the book had spanned more than just a we...more

While listening to Head Over Heels, I kept thinking that it felt like a script for a romance comedy movie rather than a book and, unfortunately, that is not a plus in my mind. Its content can barely support its 6-7 hours and it is definitely light, if not mindless, entertainment.

Magee Sinclair is desperate to prove she’s not the mess up she appears to be at her father’s ad agency and tells only the smallest of lies to one of her clients to retain his business. How will bik...more

Sometimes it feels like everything is falling into place...other times it feels like everything is falling apart. For Magee and Justin everything is falling apart. Magee feels like everything she does is a disaster. Justin's girl friend broke up with him days before the biggest weekend of his career. They need each other... they just didn't realize how much.

Let me tell you how much I loved this book. I laughed so hard all the way through. Poor Justin has his work cut out for him with Magee. (Pro...more

In her romantic novel, Head Over Heels, Cindy Procter-King adds comic relief to the conflicts that come with newfound love, balancing everyday work life and responsibilities with affairs of the heart, and finding a way to trust your instincts and grow independent despite your parents’ expectations. If that seems a lot to accomplish in just one short novel, it is. But, Procter-King manages to do it with a sense of humor and style that is all her own. You have to imagine that she enjoyed writing t...more

Head Over Heels is a cute book. It's got the unabashed female lead (Magee -pronounced Muh-Gee) and the strictly business male lead (Justin). Both are dead set on making sure their business plans don't fail and they know that they need each other for their respective businesses to succeed; Magee has some major advertising mistakes to make up for and Justin needs to lure a big-wig businessman into a Co-op with him.

And that's about the gist of the book. I feel like that description right there port...more

Head Over Heels reminds me of all the reasons why I adore cheesy romances. They are fun books to fall into. I *accidently* opened this one on my Kindle while I was reading another book and I couldn't stop reading it until I finished it 2 hours later.

I think we all know how the story goes. A big, hunkin' excutive needs a pretend girlfriend to woo potential investors. Justin's girlfriend dumps him so he Magee to play his girlfriend for the weekend. Of course, their plans go to hell in a handbasket...more

I can sum this book up to you in one word.... PREDICTABLE.

This is a very very short book. Its literally 159 pages. It can easily been read in one day.

This is a book about Magee who works at her dad ad agency and isn't doing so well at it or so she thinks..... hint she may have someone sabotaging her. Then she gets an account for a bike company with a very handsome owner Justin Kane.

Justin Kane get dumbed by him girlfriend Tina right before he was to land a huge new English Bike account. So wh...more

This story is funny but it teaches you something along with the funniness. It teaches you that telling the truth is the best policy. I truly enjoyed this story and would love to read more stories by Cindy Procter-King in the near future (once I read all the books I have already put on my kindle). This is a great Story I couldn't find anything wrong with it. What is so wrong with being compared to a chipmunk? They are so cute and adorable.

I didn't really like Magee or Justin much. I didn't dislike them, but I couldn't find myself relating to them, and I'm a total klutz. I think maybe they were just too selfish for me. Also, the book talked about the chemestry between the two of them, but I didn't feel it. I also thought the story was predictable.

One little lie by Magee Sinclair has her in a downward slide of trouble when she meets with new client Justin Kane. Justin sees Magee as the perfect solution for his last minute complication, his girlfriend dumped him and he needs one quick to pursue a merger he wants for his mountain biking business. While his ex is put together, poised, and knows how to play the dutiful girlfriend, Magee is clumsy, quirky, and catching Justin’s attention in more ways then one. What starts with a fairly straigh...more

Good read

Good read

The characters are campy, sexy and fun. The hero is a self centered jerk at times at first, but comes around in the end. The heroine is a sweetheart with who finally finds her backbone. A fun read. Recommend.

Great story of how friends can learn to love each other. I love the way they both tried to fight it but still fell in love with each other. I am so glad that this story ended with them being together. Great, funny love story. Go Maggee and Justin!!

Great story! This is the first book I have read by this author, and I was not disappointed! The relationship between Justin and Magee was very entertaining, and you can't help but love them both! Sweet, charming and authentic! Great read!
Tammy
Cute quick chick like read, I enjoyed.
Characters were kind of fun and funny.
Magee seems to have lost her confidence in herself and trying to save the family business.
Justin is looking to expand his business and wants Magee to act like his girlfriend to seal the deal.
Lots of fun

As a child, Cindy dreamed of becoming a writer. Well, okay, thanks to her grade three teacher reading a chapter of The Little House on the Prairie books to Cindy's class everyday, Cindy actually dreamed of becoming Laura Ingalls Wilder. It made so much sense. After all, Cindy's blond older sister always got to wear blue while Cindy with the "dark as cinders" hair was often relegated to wearing dul...more
