She smiled at me even though I knew she must be in extreme pain. "Thank you for loving me," she said.
I was the one who should be thanking her for loving me. I couldn't think about that right now. There was too much blood. I had to help her. "Tell me how to fix this."
She coughed and cleared her throat. "Your love has fulfilled me."
"No, please," I said, "don't talk like that

The Vengeance Squad by Sidney W. Frost is action packed, full of thrills, suspense and romance. When you get ready to read this suspensefull story make sure you have time to read without stopping because you will not want to put this book down. The title of this book intrigued me and after reading reviews I knew I wanted to read Chris and Sarah's story.
Sarah and Chris's love for one another is felt from the first chapter. You can understand why Chris is so devastated after her death and determin

Sarah, a nurse, goes to the aid of a victim, and is also shot.

Sidney W. Frost in his new book, "The Vengeance Squad" published by Sidney W. Frost gives us a round-the-country thriller.

If you play chess then you know that to win you need to watch the whole board not individual pieces. The champion players not only know what they are going to move but their opponents moves as well. That's why you hear them say "Check-mate in 16 moves" they are watching the whole board. If you focus on just one piece then you pretty much have lost the game. Life is like chess

Sidney Frost writes in first person, which many editors frown upon because it lends to tell instead of show. Not with Sidney. He lets us dig into his main character, and live his emotions, his reactions and his floundering in this new world of investigation and intrigue in which he is thrust after the random murder of his fiancée just before their wedding date. No wonder he is mad at God and everything else.

The first few pages are a little too sappy with his ga-ga love talk before he witnesses h

I am primarily a mystery/thriller reader and almost never attempt a "Christian based" book, not because I am anti-religious but because almost all of the books that contain a Christian element seem to lose the story in the message.

This was a well plotted and well written action/thriller with interesting and well developed characters and an intricate storyline. The Christian element was not particularly intrusive but was introduced in a fairly low-key manner with the emphasis remaining on the sto
Chris McCowan's fiancee is murdered right in front of him and he swears off of God and on to vengeance. With his unlikely trio of helpers, he sets out to find her killers.

I had a hard time getting into this story. The first person narrative and more action than emotion made it hard for me to connect with Chris, the main character. I'm glad I stuck with it because the plot unfolds in several nice twists and turns. The second half of the book picks up nicely and the story plays out to a very sati

What does a teacher, a student, a librarian and a FBI agent have in common? Terrorists. The title said The Vengeance Squad, but the story took a twist faster than I expected. I found myself saying, "Oh no!" Being a romantic I resisted what I was reading. It just wasn't fair. From there on I was the fifth member of the Vengeance Squad. I quickly attached to each character in the story. Sometimes I thought I could see ahead, but was surprised by a twist or turn. It was an enjoyable read. I was wor ...more

I really liked this book. After starting a little slow the story took off and I could not put it down. The storyline and characters were well developed and believable. It was easy to get into the book and and to be a part of the story. I was a great read.

I highly recommend "The Vengeance Squad" by Sidney W. Frost.
I found the description of the professor's anger towards the people who killed his loved one, Sarah. He gets a team together to track down the bad guys in the hope of getting to kill them. This book lets you watch as he works through his anger.
I found myself trying to figure out some of the clues as I read.
An enjoyable read.I really liked this book. It's full of heart wrenching and emotional story. Loved all the characters and the way how the storyline is. Enjoyed the epliogue.

Would love to read more books by this author. :)

Enjoyed the story. i'm not a revengeful person so didn't connect with the story as much as someone who may have had these feelings. Saying that, would read more from this arthur.

It was the cover that drew me to investigate what this book was about. The man in the wheelchair. I had not read a book with a character in a wheelchair and with my wife suddenly in a wheelchair herself due to a chronic disease, my interest was doubly piqued. I was intrigued how someone with a disability was going to be able to avoid the danger of finding these killers. At the end of the novel Frost more than satisfied my curiosity in this area. I am not a great fan of murder mysteries, but this ...more
A very interesting combination of Christian fiction, grief and the desire for vengeance, along with unlikely characters in a mystery/thriller.

I had to pick up this book since they guy is in a wheelchair even though he is only a para, and I'd like to have a talk with the person who wrote the copy because he is not wheelchair-bound. He uses a wheelchair. Big difference!
The vengeance squad, by Sidney W Frost is AWFUL! It's bible thumping dressed up as a story. A weak plot and even weaker characters. Just unbelievably poor writing all around. Don't pick it up, even for free it's not worth it.
