bahasanya a la story teller tapi menyenangkan, berisi isu2 gender, animal care, friendship, mix-ras, kasih sayang antara ayah & anak...wah lengkap banget.

Pullman is at his best when he sticks to a simple, fable like story. The characters are lovely and the language is gorgeous. And, like all Pullman fables, he loves to combine all different folklore and cultures in his works. His tales are as global as the modern child. This is what makes him a genius when it comes to writing for children.

This is very different from Pullman's "His Dark Materials" series, but it maintains that wonderful sense of mythology and storytelling that made those books nearly timeless. It's a good, short story, much more tongue-in-cheek than I expected. It took me all of a half hour to read, as well. :)

this is a quick story from the author of The Golden Compass about, you guessed it, the firework-maker's daughter and her quest to become a firework-maker herself. mostly a coming-of-age tale, there were some entertaining moments.

A silly breezy fable whose characters and colorful names would make it fun to read aloud at bedtime. Pullman has a way, even in his little children's stories, of hiding wells of meaning for you to stumble on.

I picked this up on tour and read it in the van. Lighthearted, fast and fun to read. It is a touching story and very enjoyable. If you like children's literature or Philip Pullman stories check it out.

A charming folktale. Pullman excels at writing these types of stories.
