I'm so angry that I kept reading this book. Jen Tucker has a master's degree but only a slight grasp on the concept of grammar. The typos are distracting (misspelling "Ferris Bueller" and "Netflix"); subject/verb agreement needs work; the book is missing at least ten commas and three hyphens, conservatively. She goes off on tangents midway through thoughts, but she feels justified in doing so since she warned us early on. There are too many explanation points and words in all caps for a woman of...more

Have you ever had a jam packed day where it seems nothing goes according to plan? Right from when you wake up till bed time? I know I have, and Jen Tucker shares each tale and how she realizes, at that last (and only) pit stop before bed, that all day she was wearing her panties inside out.

Jen’s day starts with her husband leaving for a week long business trip overseas. She terribly misses him, especially because he travels more than he is at home, hence she calls herself a “married single pare...more

Awesome!! Mrs. Tucker is an amazing writer. I loved her take on a day that was obviously extremely difficult and the light at the end of the tunnel. Jen is a wonderful person and although we are somewhat new friends, every conversation we have ends in very loud giggles. I really enjoyed reading about our town through her eyes. Almost every chapter had something that as a mother, a wife, a daughter, a woman, and a "Boilermaker" I could completely relate to! Her faith in God is incredible and I tr...more

As a Mom, I really thought I’d identify with this book. I feel as though she took a bunch of common scenarios & just tried to make them seem hilarious. I can appreciate that she has a positive, upbeat attitude about things. I am lucky enough to have the same ability to find humor in things that go wrong to make it through the day. However, I’m not going to write a book about how hilarious I try to make every day situations seem. Oh no, I forgot my dry cleaning, the dog is loose again, I miss...more

“I’ve been so there!” That’s what women will say when they read, laugh and cry through Jennifer Tucker’s "The Day I Wore my Panties Inside Out." Tucker leads you by the heartstrings and funny bones through one day of her life that’s filled with a husband flying off to Germany on business and leaving her to tend their three children, a butter-eating Golden Retriever, and a claims adjuster visit to their home that was flooded the day they moved in. Life lessons are expertly tucked in between each...more

I was not impressed with the writer's style or the content and decided not to finish the book. I generally enjoy memoirs by women (Tina Fey and others) but this author was way too peppy for me and really annoyed me instead of making me laugh.

Ride alongside Jen Tucker in her car. Pull up to her kitchen table for a chocolate chip cookie. Get ringside seats to her dogs' escapades. Experience her labor pains - emotional and physical. No matter the chapter, Jen Tucker delivers (no pun intended) a two day dose of reality as a mom, wife and career woman in this memoir of moments. Her use of humor and great sense of humility makes her an engaging author. Even if you're not married or not a parent, Tucker's story will keep you reading and ho...more

I really liked the content of this book, but there were so many editing errors that it became annoying. I did think that there were a lot of funny moments in this book, and better editing would have made it a better read. I will look for more things by this author, however, because I liked her style.

I was shocked by the number of editing errors in this book. Also, it wasn't as funny as I expected. The author finds herself more amusing than she actually is.

I would imagine that spending the weekend with this book was like spending the weekend with Jen Tucker. And we had a blast! Hilarious conversation woven into heartfelt moments and tear inducing memories of her family. Throw in a couple of persistent pups and you'll have yourself a great time. Truly a wonderfully funny look at this authors life, FILLED with hysterical scenarios we can all relate to.

I was really disappointed in this book. I was so excited to read it because I thought it was going to be hilarious, but I honestly only laughed maybe a handful of times. Luckily it was cheap to buy for the nook.

Reading Jen Tucker's memoir, The Day I Wore My Panties Inside Out, was like having coffee (or a martini) with my best friend, talking about the real stuff in life with no filters, and laughing out loud the whole way. I loved Jen's honest writing, her hilarious stories, and this very real glimpse into the life of a wonderful mom, friend, and wife.

I have laughed and laughed at this book. God knows it sounds like my life:) At least I know I am not the only one:) This really is a great pick me up book! Life isn't perfect sometimes down right hard but in the end it all works out! I can`t wait to read Jen's next book!

Hilarious and emotional. We’ve all had those moments when we’re losing our heads. Take a deep breath and enjoy the ride with Jen. Akin to have a cup of coffee with your best friend, and Jen is the friend we all want to have, preferably a little closer to home.

Mrs. Tucker, I think you described my days from dawn to sunset. But without husband (also, my best friend and soul mate since middle school) kids, dog, work, etc .... what would we have?
Kati
A bit preachy for me. It was supposed to be funny, but it didn't really make me laugh... Maybe I am just too funny for it?
