Read in October, 2008
I enjoyed reading this book very much. I'm having a hard time putting into words exactly what I liked about it. It made me think about many things about life - how some things are just meant to be. How easily we as people can help someone get through something horrible by saying "it wasn't your fault, it was an accident", yet when it comes to ourselves we never see it that way..if that makes any sense. We can give advice so quickly, but are not as quick to take it ourselves.

Alvtegen maintains that dark and deeply introspective mood common in Scandinavian fiction but injects her story with a leavener of hopefulness that sets it apart.
