4 Fabulous Stars!!!

Another fantastic and captivating read by the very talented Maya Banks. I LOVE her historical romances!
Wowee! I absolute ADORED this book, more so than the first installment. It's so romantic and it definitely tugged at the heart strings and made me grab the tissues on occasion. Alaric and Keeley are just so good together. This book definitely put a big smile on my face. Oh how I love the McCabe warriors *sigh* Now the agonizing wait for Caelen's story.

Maya Banks you've done a wonderful job in creating these beautiful characters, that I've grown to love, for that I thank you.

In the simplest words possible....I loved this book!

Seduction of a Highland Lass is the second book of the McCabe trilogy by Maya Banks and while I loved and gave 5 stars to In Bed with a Highlander, this book tops it with its passionately fierce love story.

This is Alaric McCabe’s story. Having not read the blurb for this one before opening it up and reading it, I still thought Alaric’s heroine would be Rionna, McDonald’s warrior daughter as was mentioned in the first b
Did I love this book? Lordy, yes I did!!! Is it deserving of the 5 star rating? You betcha! Did I read this book just to get to the awesomeness that is Rionna McDonald's story? Ummmm...well...YES! And I'm not even a little bit sorry, and I was in no way disappointed. Keely and Alaric's story was 5 star worthy all on it's own!

Seduction of a Highland Lass: 5 Star book that everyone should read, amazing

Unfortunately, I have a problem. I am no where near good enough to be writing a review for such a perfect book. I mean, seriously, I am unworthy. Here are some facts

1. I've only actually reread about a dozen or so novels. I don't generally reread
2. I don't do series, and not back to back. There are some exceptions like Kresley Cole. And while i do read books in series, I usually never complete series.
Whelp, this book
I just can't get enough!!!! Highlanders ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow !!!!! I absolutely loved this one !!!!

This series just gets better! I love an ‘ injured hero being saved by a heroine’ plot, and this one delivered. But what I really love are romances where the hero and heroine must overcome impossible odds, and that is what made this one such a winner for me. Of course you know these two will get their HEA, but how they will make it work was a huge question! Alaric McCabe is betrothed to the daughter of a neighboring laird, and this vital alliance must be made. The King himself demands the allianc ...more
OMG OMG OMG!!! This book had me crying! I loved these two equally (that rarely happens to me), I loved Keeley so much, she loved Alaric, and more then once puts his needs and the needs of the clan before her own. All she wanted was to belong somewhere, and once she did, she was loyal to her clan.

And Alaric, never expecting to meet someone who captures his heart the way Keeley does before he is to marry someone else. but of course he knows he cannot break off the betrothal. They cannot deny thei

This was a very good read for me and I am crazy with want of the next book, LOL. I certainly hope that Maya Banks continues writing historical's because she writes them just the way I love them most.

The Characters in this book all deserve 5 stars. The heroine Keeley was so selfless and honorable. You could not help but love her. The Hero Alaric was also honorable and you really could feel
Opening Line: “Alaric McCabe looked out over the expanse of McCabe land and grappled with the indecision plaguing him.”

Whoa, hello sexy Highland Warriors. I guess I should have listened to all the rave reviews; I’m sorry now I waited so long to discover this series.

This is the second book from the McCabe brothers trilogy and what an epic love story it turned out to be. I’ll be honest, it took me a bit to get into the story but Alaric and Keeley grew on me as did Banks’ particular take on histor
'"I can never get enough of you. I tell myself one more time. Just once. And it's never enough. It'll never be enough."'

I can't even explain how much I love this series! There's just something about these wonderful McCabe brothers that I can't get enough of. The so strong warriors, softening only for their one woman who'd they do anything for... *sigh* Together with all of the other wonderful characters in the series, I feel like I've gained a new family. I love every single one of them and it'
I must say that I don't get the titles of these books... The titles seem cheesy; this one particularly. One could think that there was very much seduction involved, but instead I felt much more love, angst and romance!

Alaric... *sigh*... soo seemingly stern and cold, but inside... ahhhh!!!

That man has a way with aord that made me melt! His love words were so delicious and romantic that I was sighing constantly! He was hot and possessive too! I loved him!!!

Keeley was a dear too! She's sweet, but
A wonderful continuation of the McCabe Trilogy. The second in the series about the three McCabe brothers. The middle brother, Alaric is attacked on his way to the McDonald's clan, where he is to become formally betrothed to Rionna McDonald. Somehow he manages to get on his horse and the horse ends up near Keeley's small cottage. Keeley, an outcast of the McDonald clan, cares for Alaric while his horse goes for help. lol Well, he does. Anyway, Keeley ends up at the McCabe Castle, caring for Alari ...more
After so many rave reviews I really expected a lot more from the book, unfortunately it fell flat... VERY flat. I will say, I did not read the first book in the trilogy and just started with the second book. I don't know if I would have enjoyed the book more feeling as though I knew the other characters better... but I'm going to venture and say I would not. I guess for me the biggest problem was the whole love at first sight connection they had. I mean, he was injured and going in and out of co ...more
On his way to formerly propose to the woman he must marry to secure an alliance for his clan, Alaric McCabe is attacked and barely flees alive. He and his horse somehow make it to a cottage in the woods and he promptly falls off his horse and passes out. Keeley is stunned to see a mysterious man near her home but as she is a healer, she knows she must tend to his wounds. Her first problem is how in the world to get this man into her home and I have to say, it was pretty funny. As Keeley is tendi ...more

*swoon* Alaric and Keeley were what romance is made of. I loved this book. Fierce passion, sweeping romance and two people who are madly in love with each other but forces keep them apart. I'm telling you--this book made me swoon. I loved it and couldn't recommend it more.
OMG, that cover. Inauthentic Kilt Lad meets Inauthentic Nightgown Lass.

Keeley MaDonald was unfairly cast out from her clan; now she lives on the outskirts, surviving through gifts from those she helps as a healer. When wounded warrior Alaric MacCabe collapses outside her cottage, she takes him in and nurses him, finding herself beguiled when the feverish Alaric holds her close and calls her his angel. But Alaric is forced to make a clan alliance, so a relationship between them can never be.

I am plowing through this trilogy by Maya Banks and loving every minute of it. I thought the last book was the best...I was wrong, this one is. Can I give more than five stars? I loved this. While each of this books could potentially stand alone, I would highly recommend that you read them in order. There is a lot of back-story to the political intrigue that goes on. You would be slightly lost if you weren't up to speed.

Keeley McDonald has been exiled from her clan, the McDonald's. Now, she is j

Recommends it for: everyone who loves a good book.
This book is an emotional roller coaster... there is no other way i can describe this beautiful love story between Alaric and Keeley.

When i started reading this book i had the feeling that this will be just like Ewan and Mairin's story but little did i know that this will be one hell of a ride of emotions flying everywhere and by the end of it i will literally have tears in my eyes. It was so very endearing to read that they explored their love for each other even though it was for a very short
I am really loving Maya Banks' historical romances! I seriously cannot get enough of them and I loved this one just as much as I loved the rest of them.

Keeley is just as fierce, courageous, stubborn, disobedient and awesome as Mairin. She's headstrong and protective. I felt so sorry when hearing about how past and how easily she was cast out of her clan for something she didn't even do.

Alaric is a fierce warrior. He's loyal, protective, and the love he felt for Keeley was so beautiful.

Alaric has agreed to marry the daughter of a neighboring laird to help strengthen his clan. He and his men are attacked on the way there and left for dead. Alaric manages to make it on his horse and ends up in front of the house of an outcast of the very clan he was going to marry in to.

Beware...this is an emotional book and although I didn't cry, it definitely pulls at the old heartstrings. Alaric is promised to another but falls in love with Keely. Once Keely finds out about the marriage, she

Betrothed to the daughter of a neighboring clan to strengthen his own clan’s alliance for a coming war, Alaric McCabe is journeying to claim the women he has vowed to marry when he and his men are ambushed. Left for dead, Alaric manages to climb atop his horse and pray that the stallion will take him to safety. What Alaric finds though is an Angel who will put his honor, and his heart, in danger.
Keeley McDonald was outcast from her clan and betrayed by those she trusted most. With a ta
A great addition to the McCabe trilogy! I'm loving the fact that time isn't really passing from book to book...each book is pretty much starting off where the last one ended so it's like reading one huge book!

Really liked Alaric, a lot...and was very surprised to find out who his heroine was considering how things were set up in the first book. This turn of events definitely added to all the angsty and emotional moments and the last 15% was a crusher!!! I can now see why people labeled this one

What a wonderful book. I'm in love with these characters and the highlands.

This is my first book by Maya Banks and I found her style of writing right up my alley. I hate books that are overly descriptive and equally so books that lack character/scene building. Maya Banks has a perfect balance! I felt like I was there without being overwhelmed and felt for all the characters, good or bad, lol.

The romance was wonderful and had me near to tears at times. And the sex scenes were tasteful and steamy
Another 3 1/2 - 4 stars for me. I did like this one better than the first one, mainly because the romance was very good and sweet and the H&h were very connected and honorable people. What I am finding about the story lines of the first two of the series is that they are rather soft, not as intense as they should be for a medieval romance. They are good, but not overly memorable. Since the highlander is one of my favorite types of hero, Maya Banks highlanders don't seem to be as dominant/har ...more

Oh my goodness, I loved this one more than the first one! What a great love story, filled with angst and heartbreak. The story certainly kept me reading all day long. I could not put this book down. The love story between Alaric and Keely was so beautiful and heartwrenching. What a wonderful love story. The ending was wonderful and the scene out by the loch under the trees made me cry.

I can't wait to read Caelen and Rionna's story. I hope it is half as good as this one!

This installment starts almost immediately after book one and Alaric MacCabe is on his way to marry Rionna MacDonald. But he is ambushed and gravely injured requiring nursing by Keeley, an outcast healer from the MacDonald clan. Before long Alaric's brothers come looking for him but it's after affection has begun to spark between nurse and patient.
The tears and empathy were free-flowing here as I was quite taken with the romance of the healer/devil/angel and the fierce warrior b
This book is SO GOOD. I really liked the first one a lot, but this one absolutely BLEW ME AWAY. I stayed up until 4 am reading it to finish it...and I cried real tears, not just a lump in the throat or eyes a little misty. I actually cried real tears. And I reread the tearjerker part again today to make sure I wasn't just tired...nope, I cried again. There is literally nothing I did NOT like about this book. Keeley and Alaric are absolutely perfect together. Keeley is one of the most amazing fem ...more
'Seduction of a Highland Lass' is just as good as Banks' 'In Bed With a Highlander'! Indeed, 'tis a treat for certain to read about the McCabe brothers, hot Highlanders that they are. Alas, my only grievance is that the accent leaves me wanting. Mayhap 'twould be a 5-star book if a more realistic Highland brogue were employed.

Usually, I enjoy a bit of sexual tension in romance novels - especially those of the historical variety. It's fun to see hero and heroine butt heads and exasperate each oth
