I was kind of disappointed by the way the summary tricked me. I was expected a Gwen to cast a spell to cast out Alberic only to realise too late that the ring was on his finger and that she'd have seduce the ring off of him.

The story I got was lovely and sweet but not really what I expected. It also took me days to read as the layout of the PDF I had was horrible, but that's not really the author's fault is it?

So, did I like it? Yes. Will I read the rest of the trilogy? Most Likely.

More of a 3.5 rating than a 3 but giving the book 4 stars would have been too generous. I felt like a lot of the intimate moments didn't go along with the overall storyline and at times seemed to take away from the historical fiction aspect of the book. Other than that it was still a good read.

Historical full of suspense - appears to be great as a stand-alone read but actually part of a series. I enjoyed and want to find the other titles.

I have enjoyed everything I've read by this author.
