I got the chance to read this book thanks to Goodreads’ friend Abigail. I’d read the first two in the series a while back, Zahra's First Term at the Khadija Academy and Zahra's Great Debate, so before I started this one I reread Abigail’s reviews and my reviews. I’d remembered I’d loved them but had forgotten virtually all the plot details.

This third book is as engaging as the first two. I do recommend reading them first, even though this does stand on its own.
