Um clássico do Pepetela. Muito mais que um livro sobre a Guerra Colonial: são aqui abordadas as relações pessoais, o tribalismo, o amor, a viabilidade do comunismo. E depois tem uma fantástica técnica: os diversos protagonistas vão-se assumindo como narradores e afirmando as suas particularidades.
